Hello,
In autodiscover.xml file, there is field "Server" (under protocol). Is it CAS server or mailbox server (assuming both roles are installed on different servers).
Thanks

Dear All,
My outlook 2010 always get display problem with sender address that you can see as the picture.
What is the matter with that? we can fix it by temporary but after a day, the problem persist again.
Regards,
Anyone else experiencing the above issue? When Offline Cache is disabled the Outlook client connects seamlessly. The Front End server and Outlook Clients are both configured for NTLM authentication and the Outlookprovider on the frontend servers (EXCH and EXPR) are both configured as the wildcard for the primary domain.
What order does MS Outlook apply rules and out of office responses?
I have a user that will be going on vacation soon. They have many Outlook automatic forwarding rules or moving mails to different folder rules already set up inside their outlook.
If a rule is set up that forwards a copy and deletes the original I need to make sure that when the out of office rules is setup, that the rule is still applied and that no out of office response is returned when that rule is tripped.
Do Out of Office replies and Out of Office rules get applied before outlook rules? We are using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010.
Thank you for any assistance.
Outbox is visible in ExFolders on Exchange server, and visible in OWA (basic mode). It just won't appear in the folder list in Outlook. Nor can I find a way of adding to Favourites.
I have tried starting Outlook from RUN with "Outlook /cleanviews" but that hasn't helped.
We have a daily weather e-mail that uses HTML as it's primary format. It works fine for outside e-mails if you reply, send, forward, etc. However,
our user has set up an outlook inbox rule to automatically forward this e-mail. It loses all formatting when it is forwarded by the Outlook inbox rule to outside e-mail addresses. The inbox rule does not break formatting for us internally. We
tested this out on multiple accounts and they all do the same thing. As long as it's not an inbox rule, the formatting stays and works for all e-mails. We
are using exchange. Computers that receive the e-mail fine are all on the same network and all use the same exchange server. It's outside e-mails that it breaks (gmail, aol, yahoo, etc). What
am I missing?
Hi,
On of my client site is having an exchange environment, it has two exchange servers (Exchange 2010 with SP3), each server has MBX/CAS/HUB server roles installed. A DAG has configured as well.
Issue is when we access the OWA externally (from internet) the page loads with a delay and once we enter the user name and password it loads the interface but the browser tab is showing the busy status for a long time (circle icon is working for about 1.5 mintues to 2 minutes) once it is completed only the user can work with OWA.
There is no error related to this in the exchange server as well and no problem when accessing internally.
When we do a Ping from internet lot of timeouts are happening and found when we stop the Hub transport server service the ping continues and owa works as usual
They have a 512 kbps leased line allocated.
Thanks,
Kanishka.
Please can someone help. One of the folders that I have created in my mailboxes has disappeared - the one where I was storing all my purchased downloads. Can't remember when I last saw it but I certainly didn't delete it. What has happened to it? Thanks
Charles
Hi,
I know this question has been asked a ton of times, but I haven't found any instance of this question asked for exchange 2013. Yes, I've seen Exchange 2010, Exchange 2007, but not Exchange 2013. The symptoms are all similar. Here is a description:
1 Exchange 2013 server, all roles installed.
External domain name: associates.com
Internal AD domain name: associates.local
Client installed a third party SSL certificate, but did not purchase a SAN or UC certificate, so there is one namespace on the SSL cert, and that represents the external OWA name: mail.associates.com
Now, when internal OUtlook 2010 clients start, they get the "The name of the security certificate is invalid or does not match the name of the site."
I'm just wondering if http://support.microsoft.com/kb/940726 still applies to Exchange 2013 to fix this issue. Does this article apply to Exchange 2013? If so, I will follow the above article. If not, please direct me to any articles for Exchange 2013 that addresses this.
the autodiscoverserviceuri points to: https://netbiosnameofmailserver.associates.local/Autodiscover/Autodiscover.xml
Thanks!

hi,
I'm trying to
set up an exchange server 2013 on windows 2012 with all roles installed for 2 owa virtual directory, one for integrated windows authentication and the other for forms-based authentication.I followed a tutorial for exchange 2010.
http://technicaljeditrials.info/2011/02/28/exchange-2010-multiple-owaecp-directories-part-1/
Step 1: IP Address
Obtain a second IP address and add it to the NIC of your server.
Step 2: DNS
Add a DNS entry for That secondary IP address for the name we will want to use in the new FBA OWA Web site.I have chosen "testwebmail." Be sure there is a valid SSL certificate (recommended to have UC or SAN
SSL certs) on the server Which has the new name "testwebmail" that will be used in the certificate.
Step 3: New Web Site
Create a new web site in IIS on the Client Access Server and bind it to the new IP address used in step 1.
Step 4: Adding Exchange Virtual Directories
The web site has been created and bound to the secondary IP address of our server. Also the DNS record That will be used to access the OWA FBA new page was added to DNS.The next step is to go into EMS and begin adding our virtual directories for OWA and ECP.
Login to the Exchange server and open the Exchange Management Shell. Then run Get-Get-OWAVirtualDirectory and ECPVirtualDirectory to see the default OWA and ECP directories.
New-OWAVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName FBA -InternalUrl https://testwebmail.mylab.ad/owa
New-ECPVirtualDirectory -WebSiteName FBA -InternalUrl https://testwebmail.mylab.ad/ecp
Step 5: Configure the Virtual Directories
To configure the virtual directories we will disable FBA on the Default Web Site OWA and ECP virtual directories
Set-OWAVirtualDirectory -Identity "OWA (Default Web Site)" -WindowsAuthentication$true -BasicAuthentication $false -FormsBasedAuthentication $false
Set-ECPVirtualDirectory -Identity "ECP (Default Web Site)"-WindowsAuthentication $true -BasicAuthentication $false -FormsBasedAuthentication
$false
Step 6: iisreset
now if I access the default site I log in with
windows integrated authentication, but when I try to access the second site with forms authentication tells me username or password incorrect
Tell me you know where I'm wrong?
thanks
Greetings
Daniele
Just want to share what I've just found out...
I have just installed Exchange 2013 and I remember this question: how to add Picture in a signature made in OWA..? While doing some crazy test, I revisited the case and tried one more time to solve this riddle.. Now I finally nailed it!
Assuming you have created your signature (with Picture) using your Outlook Application and had sent emails before;
Now my workaround:
<Copying>
Login to OWA.. Go to your SENT FOLDER. Choose one of your email sent via MS Outlook (with your signature). Copy the signature into clipboard.
<Pasting>
Go to OWA settings, create signature, then paste it (CTRL + V) or whatever.
*** Why not just copy the signature directly from Outlook Application?? Simple, it won't work, believe me, I tried that few years ago. Emails with picture viewed in OWA is "embedded / encoded", so when you paste it, you are pasting HTML code into OWA's signature window.
below is the screenshot.. I thought it's for Exchange 2013 only but tried it in OWA 2010 and it worked like charm.
Outlook missed emails occassionally when retreive emails from server (Lotus Domino 8.5.4) by POP3.
some emails she could view in webmail, but could download into Outlook.
What could lead to this annoying issue ?
We purchased office 2010 professional plus in order to have access to the mailbox archives directly from outlook.
Our exchange server is 2010 SP2. When installed on Windows XP Pro Sp3 the personal archive doesn't appear.
When installed on a Windows 7 pro SP1 the online archive appears.
On the article about compatibility with the mailbox archive technet said supported by Office Professional Plus 2010,
without indicating tha the OS (XP or 7) would be a problem.
Please advise.
Hello,
We had Exchange 2010 and did not have this problem. I installed Exchange 2013 with CU1 and migrated a few users. Now everyone (2010 and 2013 users) has prompt every time they open Outlook. I tried it with Cached mode and without.
Can someone help me?
Thank you. Eric.
I have Outlook 2013 connecting to Exchange 2013 in Online Mode and not cached mode. Using ECP, I have a user full access rights and send as rights to a shared mailbox. The user can see, delete, and read emails in the shared mailbox. When the user tries to send mail as the shared mailbox, the email is getting stuck in the user's outbox folder and never sends. Not even after manually clicking on send and receive. I also do not have the registry key DelegateSentItemsStyle
Any idea how I can fix this?
