Shared Mailbox send as in outlook 2013 stuck in delegate's outbox folder

I have Outlook 2013 connecting to Exchange 2013 in Online Mode and not cached mode. Using ECP, I have a user full access rights and send as rights to a shared mailbox. The user can see, delete, and read emails in the shared mailbox. When the user tries to send mail as the shared mailbox, the email is getting stuck in the user's outbox folder and never sends. Not even after manually clicking on send and receive. I also do not have the registry key DelegateSentItemsStyle

Any idea how I can fix this?

Automatically pass credentials of current user to ExchangeService object - - Microsoft Outlook 2013

Hi,

Using app for Office, we want to read the attachment of the email. We are able to read it using ExchangeService. Currently we are providing the specific UserName/Password in order to authenticate the ExchangeService.

ExchangeService service = new ExchangeService(ExchangeVersion.Exchange2010_SP1);

service.Credentials = new WebCredentials("UserName", "password", "domain.contoso.com");

Say, if the user is already logged in to Outlook and already authenticated, can the same token be used instead of passing hard-coded information?

Why do I keep getting a security alert for someone else's domain certificate in Outlook?

Environment: Server: 2008R2 w/Exchange 2010 Client: Windows 8 Pro 64 w/ Outlook 2010
Autodiscovery/Autoconfiguration is working perfectly on my LAN and on external networks.
The Exchange Remote Connectivity Analyzer also does not report any problems with my configuration.
I have a 5-name certificate with names like these (no wildcards):
mail.mydomain.com
autodiscover.mydomain.com
mydomain.com
server01.mybusiness.local
autodiscover.mybusiness.local.

Here's the problem, intermittently, when I open Outlook, I will be prompted to accept a certificate for mail.domain.com.  Although it has words that are included in my certificate, it is not my domain, or my certificate.  Whether I accept the certificate or refuse it, Outlook works fine.  I classify this as an annoyance but it is really annoying so I would like some help getting rid of it.

Thank you in advance!

New Mail Notification (Envelope icon in taskbar) does not go away

I have Office 2013 on Windows 7 and have noticed the following behavior in Outlook:
- New mail arrives in my Inbox
- Envelope icon appears on the Outlook icon in the taskbar
I now read the email on another device
- The email is automatically marked as read on the first machine
- The envelope icon persists in the taskbar
The only way to get rid of the icon is to either toggle a mail from read to unread and back to read or if I get another email and read it on the machine that has the icon

This behavior causes a lot of false positives when reading emails on two machines.

Note: I raised this issue on the MS community forums and they were able to reproduce it. I have added the link below. I am posting it here based on feedback I received there.

IMAP not showing flagged email on one user computer.

I have 3 users on an Exchange 2010 server using IMAP to access a shared mailbox.  (This was a legacy IMAP box so we had to maintain IMAP in that giving full access via native Exchange had issues.)  When one person sets flags on a message one of the users sees the flag but the other does not.  Meaning, there is one of the 3 that is not seeing the flags in this mailbox regardless if either of the 2 others set the flag.  She does have another IMAP mailbox that she does see the flags.  If she sets the flag, the others do see it.  It appears to be on this specific mailbox.  Any ideas?

Hi,

I have an Exchange 2013 environment with a certificate from a CA. I can successfully login using OWA, but connecting through Outlook 2010 client shows the following error message:

"Cannot open your default e-email folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost)."

1. All users cannot connect using Outlook client.

2. I am using Negotiate Authentication in my Exchange proxy settings.

Any suggestions?

Cached Exchange mode for Outlook 2013 Resyncing at different locations.

I work in an office with multiple locations. I was staging a new computer for an employee at the main office with a fiber connection. I set up their profile on Outlook 2013 so that it would use the bandwidth at the faster location and cache the emails here. When I deployed the machine, the location has a T1, the computer re-cached everything.

When I set up the profile, I made it cache all emails (not just 12 months), that was the only default setting change that I made.

I made sure that Outlook said "all folders are up to date" before I took it to the location. Why would it have re-cached the emails?

Exchange 2010 - Outlook 2010 problems with S/MIME

Hello All:

This is a moved post for follow up for maybe something on Exchange stopping S/MIME. http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/outlook-2010-smime-problems/28bcd32f-51f7-4c42-b94e-e59862a76ce7

So I've actually come to the fact that google is hurting my head.  Here is the problem.
Details:
Windows 7 Professional 64-bit
Office Professional Plus 2010 64-Bit ( Admin user )
Office Professional 2010 64-Bit ( Regular users )
Active-sync enabled on logon
Certificates issued by IdenTrust --- Verified that the certificates were okay.

Problem:  The keyset is not defined when sending in Outlook 2010.  Trying to send certificates between 1 admin user to FSO of company to exchange mail.
IdenTrust support was called and spent an hour with validating the certificates were good.

If I try to Publish to GAL with my certificate, I get the following error as well: Microsoft Outlook cannot publish your certificates. The server may be offline or your certificates may be invalid.

^^^ Well certificates are okay after 1 hour with IdenTrust support. Server definitely online.

Interesting:  OWA > Installed S/MIME > Was able to send Signed message from Admin user 1 to FSO of company.  This issue was resolved by adding: HKLM\Local Machine\System\CurrentControlSet\services\MSExchange OWA\SMIME >  addedAllowUserChoiceofSigningCertificate with value of 1

If I can do it in OWA, Why not Outlook 2010 ? What am I missing. ?

how to force the exchange server 2010 using the VBA code instead of the rules.

Dears,

we are  using an exchange server 2010.

we have a user  member to  the  active directory under windows server 2008 R2 Entreprise and create for him a mail box under the exchange.

i already configure for this user the mail box under his workstation, windows 7, using the microsoft outlook 2010 and i create some rules for him and all is working well.

this user can open his mail from outside company also using OWA and still the rules are applicable under OWA which is greate.

also i configure to receive his mails under his mobile phone using the microsoft exchange server and still all working well and the rules also still working well.

for some reason i remove all the rules and replace them with a VBA code under microsoft outlook 2010 on his workstation , and all working well, i mean the code still filter the mails receive like before when i was using the rules .

The big question is :

how i could force the exchange to applicable this code when this user try to read his mails using OWA or from his mobile phone?

Regards.

Hi,

I have tried to connect my Google Apps account to my OWA account but when  I do I get this error message:

"it looks like it's not possible to leave messages on the server for your connected account"

I know the problem is not on Google's end because I was able to connect that account to my personal Outlook on my PC.

Does anyone know how to make the connection work?

Hi,

We notice that recently our new user unable to configure their email account into any of MS outlook client. The error message as below:

"The action cannot be completed. the connection to microsoft exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action"

We have check all the possibility of the internet such as remove profile at user end, and Ms Exchange file distribution, Ms Exchange Address book  was started.

We found that one of our CAS transport server do not have any GUID folder at path below:

C:\Program Files\Microsoft\Exchange Server\V14\ClientAccess\OAB\<GUID>

Is it abnormal? How can we resolve this issues?

However, there is no problem with another CAS transport server. We are running at Exchange 2010 RTM with 2x cas, 2x hub, 2 x edge, 2 x ms, 2x DC.

Exchange 2007 OWA no longer works internally..."Service Unavailable" error

For some reason our Exchange 2007 box no long allows users to access their mail via OWA.  It was only configured to work internally for the management to monitor users and never externally.  The only changes made to our network is a new Domain Controller has been migrated over (different box) and Blackberry Server was recently added to this exchange box.  Our exchange server is running Exchange, BES, and now a secondary DC.  When accessing the OWA internally (https://servername/OWA) I get a "Service Unavailable" error.  Can anyone help?  Thank you in advance.

Sincerely,

        Michael

inbound mail is a draft message

I can't seem to find any info in regards to this issue. We just migrated a client's exchange to 2013 and they received all new systems. One of the issues they seem to be having is something I have never seen. The user will receive an email, both from internal and external addresses and the Icon in the inbox will show it as being a Draft. When they open the email it shows everything normally but the response section is missing in the ribbon. IE: Reply FWD so forth. They can reply from the Inbox by right clicking the mail. I have screen shots but no url to link them from. Any help would be great.

Unable to access public folders In Exchange 2013

Hi there,

please help me am lost a bit :(

Situation: From an internal PC Outlook 2013 cannot access to public folders resides in Exchange 2013.

Outlook 2013 can connect to the other mailbox contents (but prompting for credentials...)

When I try to connect to public folders from Outlook 2013 is says: Cannot expand the folder. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the Exchange server is down for maintenance.

From the OWA interface I can connect to public folders without problems.

Please help me what to do what to look after. Funny thing but it has worked for a couple of days then stops all at once. The authentication methods on the virtual directories are doublechecked according to this article: http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/gg247612(v=exchg.150).aspx

Thanks for your help!
