OWA Sign Out doesn't work

I'm testing Exchange 2013 and running into the issue. On the OWA page, when I click on Sign out, OWA doesn't sign out.. It gives me "Sign Out" window with statement: "You must close all browser windows to sign out completely". Same behavior on local server, on remote server.. /OWA /ECP site.. Admin user, non admin user..

Forms authentication is disabled, basic and windows are enabled.

If I manually add /owa/logoff.owa it logs me off..

Any ideas?

OWA 2013 Expired Password Change - not working

We are in the process of moving mailboxes from our 2010 environment to our 2013 environment and are using the 2013 CAS as internet facing, for any mailboxes on 2010, requests are proxied through.

We have the registry DWORD ChangeExpiredPasswordEnabled set to 1 in HKLM\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\MSExchange OWA but this isn't working.

It use to work perfectly well when we had the 2010 CAS server internet facing.

Is this still supported in Exchange 2013?

Outlook Web App navigation cutomisation for particular user group

For one of our project we have a need to customize OWA (Outlook Web App) 2010 UI to include additional links in Navigation page and New Message classes which we are able to achieve.  Now we want to selectively enable this feature for certain users , we looked thru Segmentation feature of Outlook web app http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/bb123962(v=exchg.141).aspx but could not find anything that would allow us show/hide this link for users.

We want to find out if there is any possible solutions to achieve this functionality.  

Can you please help us connect to appropriate MS resource? Thanks!!

CRM iGoldMine Integration with Hosted exchange

Hi Everyone
We have iGoldMine CRM running on the server, which is access by citrix client by 20 users.
iGoldMine CRM has calendar that can sync to office installed on the server. Our challenge is for that outlook to sync calendar across all the users. 
How do we go about doing this.
Our discovery
1) Install 20 outlook profiles on the CRM server and let it sync to CRM calendar. Eventually it will sync with local client of users. However drawback to this method is that 20 outlook profile is downloading all the emails on that server creating space, security and I/O issue.
yesterday I found out that exchange allows you to create shared profile which then can be link to other accounts. if that is the case then we can have shared outlook profile running on CRM server and let calendar syn to shared profile. 
my question
1) Is there a better way.
2) Would Shared profile method work.
3) When I try login in with shared profile on microsoft site, it gives me below error.
"You don’t have a license to use Office 365. Before you can use Office 365, your account must have a license assigned to it. If you don’t have one, contact your admin and ask for a license. If you’re an Office 365 admin, you can add a license to your own account."

4) How do i setup shared profile on local outlook on CRM server.

any other insight will be helpful.

OWA Error - The action could not be completed. You might have Updated the item on another computer or a mobile phone

Hi,

We have several engineers who use OWA to send in electrical PAT testing results. The results are automatically compressed to a zip file and transferred to the engineers laptop or netbook.

They are able to upload the zip file to OWA but when they try to send it they receive an error message 'The action couldn't be completed. You might have updated the item on another computer or a mobile phone'.

It is very annoying as we are having to ask our engineers to use personal email accounts to send them in.

The zip file only contains an .xml and a .txt file.

Some email's contact not display on other outlook's computer

Office Outlook 2010 some employee's contact not available at another's outlook computer global address list

Dear All,
 At my office computers, With Office Outlook in most computers when we compose new email by click New Email,We click TObutton to put e mail address that we want to send, in 
the search box we just type the start name with :V and than the people who have the name start with V will display  and i can see the people that i want to send in my computer and i select the name with V that i want to send.
But at others computers Office outlook why the user that i can sent and can select in my outlook global address book not available on other computers that they want to send?
My computer is a part of Organizations so the all contact name is not store on local machine.
Please let me ask that, What is the main problem that some computers not showing some user contact on outlook ?
Tell me how to fix. 
So this problem is cause by the server or no?

Scenario: Person sets up a recurring meeting in a Room and is sent a declined email due to conflicts. Person doesn't see or forgets about declined email. Even though the meeting was declined  the event is put onto the users calendar and meeting requests are sent out to invitees. Invitees accept and event is added to their calendar also. So at this point we have a bunch of people in agreement to have a meeting at such place, but unfortunately they'll eventually run into that conflict. Is there a way to keep the event from going onto a user's calendar or sending out invites if a conflict occurs?

Outlook Connectivity Problem on 2003 Term Server - Exchange 2013

I am working on deploying a new 2013 Exchange server. The Exchange is installed on a 2012 Server OS. I have three windows terminal servers (or remote desktop services) at three separate locations that have users working on them via thin-client - (RDP). The users run Outlook 2010 from the three servers. Two of the terminal servers are Windows 2008 R2 and one is 2003 R2 Standard. I am able to get the Outlook clients to connect to Exchange from the two 2008 servers but the Outlook clients on the 2003 server are so far unable to connect to the Exchange server.

When I try to add the mail profile from the control panel - signed on as each user - it auto detects the user profile and looks like it connects but then it prompts for a password. I can try to input the password but it will not accept it. Ultimately it fails with a message indicating Outlook cannot log on etc., etc.

These three servers are at three different locations but connect back to the location where the Exchange server resides via MPLS. Connectivity between locations is solid.

Odd thing is I have an old 2003 server at the same location where the Exchange box is and I fired it up and tried to connect an Outlook client from it and it does not work either.

Does anyone know of any documented problems with connecting to 2013 Exchange from a 2003 server OS? Or, conversely, has anyone successfully deployed Exchange to Outlook clients on a 2003 server?

Can I connect outlook 2013 to Exchange Server 2010 or lower?

 My employer MS exchange server is still on 2010 or 2008 (Not quite sure)  Is it possible to configure MS Outlook 2013 for a email account which is still on server 2010 or 2008?  If yes, then is there any special steps to follow for this type of accounts?

I have been using outlook 2011 for Mac for three months. It was syncing up with exchange server and my 2 other devices, iPhone and iPad. Now when I delete a message from outlook on my Mac, it doesn't remove the message on my other devices. However, when I delete a message from my other devices first, it does remove it from my Mac. Any idea what's happening here?

I know i'm posting in wrong window, but need an help, its very urgent!!!

We are facing a critical issue now

Exchange 2007 mailbox user is trying to access another user mailbox (same exchange 2007 server) on his WinXP outlook 2003 client machine. But getting an error as "unable to display the folder"

the user made a test on another machine under WIN7 (Outlook 2007)

==>, the delegation is working fine.

but user works on machine under WinXP ( Outlook 2003), is there any fix for this apart from upgrading to outlook 2007??

Never giveup till you get what to want.

Hi All,

I hope you can help, I am trying to create a hosted Exchange server I have "Server 2008 R2" and exchange server 2013 installed on it.

I have windows 7 PC on the domain of the server with outlook 2007.

If I log on to this as a domain user on my windows 7 PC exchange works perfectly.

If I log on as a local user on the PC and try and add this exchange account I go through the proper selection and add the exchange account, add username and password, then finds the FQDN of the server and my email address, I then open outlook and get the"Cannot open your default e-mail folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost)" error.

I have outlook installed on the server also and have given full permissions to my account to access a mailbox and get the same issue so it’s not a firewall problem.

I am stumped, I did follow a guide on the internet to create a multi tenant envioroment but this even happens when I create a new user away from any Exchange policies.

I know that the above error is common and some of you will say delete the ost files, add new profiles and i will work but no this is a setup problem, security or a dns problem i think.

Hope you can help.

OWA Requires Login After Browser Restart

I'm trying to configure our Exchange 2013 environment to allow users to stay logged in to OWA for an extended period of time (1 week) from private computers.

I have enabled the LogonPagePublicPrivateSelectionEnabled option on the OWA instance and it does give users the Private Computer option on the logon form, but when they close and reopen the browser they have to log in again...regardless of how long it has been since they logged in.

Is there an option somewhere that enables a persistent cookie for logins?  It seems like OWA is using a non-persistent cookie, hence the need to log in again whenever the browser is closed/reopened.

How can i get rid of duplicating of recurring calendar events in Outlook 2007

Hi,

i have an issue in outlook 2007 client which always duplicates the recurring events in calendar. we are using exchange server 2010 and outlook 2007 sp3 clients. i tried to delete the duplicated events and resolve the issue but its keep on duplicating. this is happening only for recurring events. 

appreciate if anybody can help me to resolve the above issue.

Outlook 2007 Clients - loosing connections to Exchange 2007

Hi togehter,

first of all i couldn't find a Forum for Exchange 2007 so i post it here:

Scenario:

RDP Server 2008 R2 full patched as Citrix XEN APP 6.5 (not full patched) with Outlook 2007 works with Exchange 2007 SP3 Fully patched which runs on an 2008 R2 Server all full patched

RDS Server is on a Subnet which is Connected via a VPN to the Exchane (BOTH Servers are Virtualized, the EXChange via Vmware and the RDS under XEN) BOTH Servers are Located in the SAME Physical Rack so the Network communication is very fast.

sometimes (9-15 times a day) outlook shows in the taskbar, that the connectivity is lost to the exchange sometimes it shows that the lost Server is the GDC / Domain controller / Sometimes its the Exchange which shows up in the Balloon.

i need some Tipps because i dont get mapi errors on the exchange also i dont get any significant errors on the rdp server... i also checked tcpview and exchange cmd shell how many connections are online...

Please write me some tipps
