Is your server down?
Outlook generates a spoofed message when you forward an external meeting request, which is probably going to be treated as spam if the recipient is also external.
This isn't easy to explain but I'll try. Picture a 3 company scenario. Person from company A sends a meeting request to someone at company B. The person at Company B ropes in another person at Company C by forwarding the meeting invite. That invite will be sent with the originator's address as the Sender. With more and more companies doing anti-spoof enforcement(DMARC, etc), this means the message is going to be blocked.
There was an error in reading the rules on the server. The format of the server rules was not recognized
Hi everyone
I am using outlook 365 with my office exchange server 2010. I had configured a lot of rules which were working fine even after upgrading to office 365. One day I was editing my rules & added few more keywords to one of the rule (Rule: Move messages with specific word in subject & body), it barred me from adding more keywords. After that I started getting the subject error message whenever I start outlook. Moreover, when I goto 'manage rules & alerts' , it shows no rules. However, the existing rules are still working but I cant edit/modify the rules bcz of subject error. In OWA , I can see only specific rules. I searched many threads on this topic but couldn't get satisfactory answer. Will be obliged if anyone can help me fix the issue

Exchanged Cached Mode Disabled
Hi
When using the Outlook Client and Cached Exchange Mode is disabled no emails will be stored locally on the device (laptop). All mails will be stored on the server even when sent by using the local Oulook client. No emails will be stored in the local outlook archive of the device.
Is this correct?
Thanks
Exchange 2013 copy contacts from public folder to user mailbox
Hi,
My company hosts exchange 2013 CAS and MBX role servers.
We have a master contact list that resides within exchange Public folders that is edited by me using Outlook.
Is there a way to copy that contact list from the public folder to a user mailbox contact list through powershell? Also adding/deleting users from the contact list?
Over 50% of my employees only have access to cell phones. In order to have the contact list sync to their phones, I have been logging into to a PC, opening Outlook, opening the contact list in Public Folders and copying it to the users personal contact list.
There has to be a better way to do this.
DKIM Fail - Only to Outlook/Hotmail
Hi,
Apologies if this is in the wrong category.
We have SPF, DKIM & DMARC all setup and authenticating. However, our DKIM seems to fail to all Microsoft domains. Strangely, it occasionally passes but predominantly fails.
Example message header below:
Authentication-Results: spf=pass (sender IP is 168.245.54.48)
smtp.mailfrom=em7451.yappy.com; hotmail.com; dkim=fail (signature did not
verify) header.d=yappy.com;hotmail.com; dmarc=pass action=none
header.from=yappy.com;compauth=pass reason=100
Our DKIM verifies/passes with all other email providers - Gmail, Yahoo, etc. and within all of our testing tools – Glock Apps, Mail-tester, SendForensics.
Could anybody shed light on why this is happening to only @hotmail and @outlook domains?
Thanks
Unicode Mode
I recently added an email that uses exchange server. At first i could send and receive with no problem. Then it would not send emails out on an intermittent basis. However now it will not send emails from that account and i found that it is running in unicode mode. Plus on the send and receive tab the work offline is stuck and will not toggle to work online. How do i fix this?
Change time for one occurrence of recurring meeting in Outlook calendar will remove attendees from meeting
Drag and drop to different time for one occurrence of recurring meeting in Outlook calendar will remove attendees from that one instance meeting.
Issue is intermittent
Exchange is 2010 and outlook 2016 on windows 10.
any idea on this what could be the issue.
thank you

How do you subscribe to an Internet Calendar that requires an Azure AD bearer token?
I have a web API that uses Azure AD Authentication and serves up calendar information. It's working great and it's secure. I've been asked to make the API available to subscribe to as an internet calendar from within Outlook and OWA.
After entering the url of the API into the New Internet Calendar Subscription dialog box, you are prompted for Windows credentials. It does not matter if Azure or Windows credentials are entered because it is rejected up to three times and then stops prompting.
If I remove the Azure AD Authentication requirement from the API, the url is accepted in Outlook, without prompting for credentials, and the Outlook calendar is updated every 4 hours as expected.
I have to keep the API secured, is this a possible scenario?
Thank you in advance.

External access Outlook anywhere not working - Attempting to ping the MAPI Mail Store endpoint with identity guid@domain.com:6001
Hi,
I have Exchange 2013 and IIS Rewrite as Reverse Proxy, but Outlook external access is not working.
When I run tests on https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com for Outlook connectivity, it fails saying:
Attempting to ping the MAPI Mail Store endpoint with identity: guid@domain.com:6001.
The attempt to ping the endpoint failed.
Internally Outlook works fine. All other external web service are working (OWA, Autodiscover, ActiveSync, etc..). Revese proxy can resolve all Exchange Server names.
I suspect the problem is the reverse proxy.
Any ideas?
Users unable to Login on Exchange 2013 OWA With No errors, Outlook not configured as well
My office is migrating from exchange 2010 to exchange 2013.
Currently, we have the two servers co-existing and talking to each other without issue for mailflow.
we did a test with Exchange 2013 set to handle all the transport traffic, while the mailboxes remained present on 2010, and were able to fine tune everything in ECP-2013, and tested OWA access for a 2013 mailbox, as well as a 2010 mailbox. OWA worked without problems. All testing and access in this configuration was successful.
I Just turn off 2 old CAS 2010 servers from total 4 servers. Mail flow still working fine.
After two days when we are planning to migrate the users from 2010 to 2013 suddenly we check that we are unable to login with new mail box or 1 migrated mailbox on exchange 2013 OWA and outlook both with no errors.
when we input wrong password then it will give error. but when we input true credentials nothng will happen. page refreshes just. please guide what we can do. before this it will absolutely fine, OWA,Active Sync, Outlook, All is well with same users.
Steps that we already Done.
1. Restart New CAS Servers
2. Form base authentication changes to standard authentication (Both OWA and ECP)
3. ECP is working fine with admin users as well
4. Host Entry also done at client end
Note: At the same time and situation when i login OWA with 2010 users, its perfectly fine, Outlook connected perfectly, mail flow perfect
Exchange Add-in Not appearing in Outlook Clients
Hi
I have recently installed an app (BlueJeans Meeting) in my Exchange 2013 CU 23 ECP and used the “ProvidedTo” property to push it out to members of a distribution group. Using a Get-App I can see this all looks fine and have further verified by looking @ OWA and can see the app there.
Unfortunately, the app/add-in hasn’t appeared in my Outlook 2016 instance (over 24 hours later from installing via ECP) – I have closed and re-opened Outlook multiple times as well as rebooting etc. I have checked Outlook – File – Options – AddIns and it is not there (active/inactive/disabled add-ins). Nothing obvious in event logs either. Am I missing a step here?
Note: I have verified the add-in is compatible with the Outlook version i am using
