Hi
I am having a weird issue with our Outlook 2016 clients. We are running on-prem Exchange 2013 CU22 Single namespace.
I have noticed that Outlook clients are getting the allow this website to configure error:
“Allow this website to configure Mailbox10@exampledomain.co.uk server settings?”
https://autodiscover.exampledomain.co.uk/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml
Your account was redirected to this website for settings.
Don’t ask me about this website again?”
We have multiple mail domains managed in Exchange and so we have a single name space used for ecp, ews, activesync, oab, owa and powershell – webmail.exampledomain.co.uk
We have a separate URL for autodiscover: autodiscover.exampledomain.co.uk
This has been working fine and I am not aware of any other issues but the above mailbox (public folder mailbox) is giving the above error. At this stage I am not sure if this only affect certain users or whether it’s affecting all public folder mailboxes.
To also add to this, The user was not browsing public folders at the time. Just had mailbox open on Inbox folder.
Can you give any advice on how to troubleshoot this?
Thanks

I have a SharePoint 2013 server and an exchange 2013 (soon to be 2016) server.
In SharePoint, there is a "connect to Outlook" button that works fine with the locally installed Outlook email client.
I would like to have this work with OWA and/or external Outlook clients. I understand this needs to be done in Exchange but I do not know where.
SharePoint is currently not setup to work outside of our organization.
Thanks!
Hello good afternoon everyone.
I am told that we need to start tracking our customer email response time from the customer service emails into our shared Outlook mailbox which is maintained by three membes of staff.
I do not think we can do this with any the add-ins from Outlook and none of my IT colleagues in our Global Group currently appear to have this setup. I have found some free software on the net but none so far that fits the bill. Does Microsoft partner any software houses producing software of this nature either free add-ons or reasonably priced, about which someone could advise me please?
We use Exchange through O365 with E3 licences, our mail is synchronized with our Active Directory which is also synchronised through our European Group FM servers
Many thanks
Kind regards, Nickowiz

I am getting weird characters in Outlook email text. It works fine in Gmail but for some reason it does not display properly. I want to know do I need to install any language pack ?
Currently using Windows Server 2012 R2 and Exchange Server 2013 SP1.
I have just installed Office 365 and need to transfer all of my existing emails in WLM2011, I am running win10 (64 bit). I have followed the following instructions (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/980534http://):
In the Windows Live Mail window, click the File button and select Export and then select Email messages.
Select Microsoft Exchange as the format and then click Next.
You will see a message that all email will be exported to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange, click Ok to continue.
You can export all email folders or select the appropriate folders that you want to export by using the Select folders option.
After you select the appropriate option, click OK and wait for the export process to be completed.
The underlined bit does not appear, from the 2nd line it goes straight to the export process without giving me the option to pick where it all goes. After the "export" has completed there is nothing showing in Outlook 2016.
is there a way to export from WLM2011 to Outlook 2016

We use the Company field in AD for our employee IDs to cross reference with Payroll/HR. We have noticed that this field syncs to Outlook contacts (So if you look up an internal user in Outlook you can see their Employee ID). Two questions:
Ideally - Is it possible to not have this field pull from AD for our users but still leave the Company field intact so staff can use it for external contacts?
If not, is it possible to remove this field completely globally? Some users may not be happy but I've been asked to find a way if the first isn't possible.
Thank you!
Sue

Hi,
Since last week we have had an issue where uses are unable to just empty their folders with all deleted mail. This only affects users whose mailboxes are full. After a license change, the mailbox limit was lowered for a lot of users.
Is there anything we can do to fix this pretty quickly? Maybe use Powershell to clear "Deleted Items".
The Exchange 2010 RU 29 was installed with administrator privileges. No errors during the installation.
Now the Application log is filled completely with 1309 warnings. These are pretty much nonstop since we installed the rollup last week. User can use Outlook to send/receive emails normally, but when the user tries to login to OWA, a “something went wrong” screen with the following information appears: “An unexpected error occurred and your request couldn’t be handled”.
It does not happen every time and sometimes it is enough to wait a while and try again and it works. But it is very annoying to users and the issue is now at the management level.
We have Googled but there is not much to do with Exception type: OwaInvalidCanaryException. It is possible that we do not look at the root cause of that error. All help is welcome.
The URL https://email.companyname.com/ecp is written with a lower case where it should be on the Exchange server.
We have cleared msExchCanaryData parameters, and clear the values for them in ADSIEDIT Configuration CN=Client Access,CN=<domain>,CN=Microsoft Exchange,CN=Services,CN=Configuration,DC=<domain>,DC=com.
And recycled OWA and ECP in the app pool in the iis.
There are four Exchange servers. Two CAS and two MBX servers. But only one CAS server is affected because OWA is installed on it. We can call it CAS01. Grateful for all the answers that can lead us in the right direction.

Hi,
We had a little problem with shared mailboxes last week where some users lost theirs.
Now there is someone who can't access their shared mailbox no matter what. They got their full access added back during last week, but it never showed up.
Today we tried to manually add it to the users Outlook and received the following message whenever we tried to expand the mailbox.
"Can't display the folder. Can't open the folders. Can't reach the file C:\users\xxxxx\AppData\Local\Microsoft\Outlook\mailaddress.ost because it is being used by another process. Close the program that's using the file and try again. You may need to restart your computer".
We have tried clearing the folder above, making a new outlook profile and re-installing Office but none of these have worked.
I should mention that user can access the mailbox just fine through OWA.
Do you have any ideas how we can resolve this?
Hello!
Is there any possibility to recover draft of the e-mail which was accidentally discarded by me?
Best regards
Lukasz
This isn't easy to explain but I'll try. Picture a 3 company scenario. Person from company A sends a meeting request to someone at company B. The person at Company B ropes in another person at Company C by forwarding the meeting invite. That invite will be sent with the originator's address as the Sender. With more and more companies doing anti-spoof enforcement(DMARC, etc), this means the message is going to be blocked.
Hello,
I am the MS Exchange 2016 operator in my (Active Directory based) organization. There are several authorative maildomains created on the (DAG) Exchange servers. The organization is using Office 2016. An Outlook user has a personal mailbox and two extra mailboxes configured in the Outlook profile. Because it is not possible (and not supported/recommended by MS) to have multiple Exchange accounts in Outlook, the user's mailprofile is configured like this:
* Personal mailbox (personal@mainmail.com): MS Exchange account, main data file account in Outlook profile
* Extra mailbox1 (mail@mail1.com) : IMAP account, main account in Outlook profile
* Extra mailbox2 (mail@mail2.com) : IMAP account
Prerequisites: All mailaccounts should be configured as 'real' accounts (shared mailboxes are not an option due to some restrictions it harbours), personal mailbox must be an Exchange account
Sending mail directly from the Outlook client results in the following situations (works like it should):
* User creates mail while in the personal Exchange account (personal@mainmail.com) -> recipient sees sender as personal@mainmail.com (=OK)
* User creates mail while in the main account, but changes the 'from' to the personal Exchange account (personal@mainmail.com) -> recipient sees sender as personal@mainmail.com (=OK)
* user sends mail from the main account (mail@mail1.com) -> recipient sees sender as mail@mail1.com (=OK)
* user creates new mail while in the main account, but changes the 'from' to mail@mail2.com -> recipient sees sender as mail@mail2.com (=OK)
But when sending a mail from an Office application (like Word/Excel -> file-> share -> email) the results are as follows:
* User creates mail while in the main account, but changes the 'from' to the personal Exchange account (personal@mainmail.com) -> recipient sees sender as personal@mainmail.com (=OK)
* user sends mail from the main account (mail@mail1.com) -> recipient sees sender as mail@mail1.com (=OK)
* user creates new mail while in the main account, but changes the 'from' to mail@mail2.com -> recipient seessender as the main account mail@mail1.com but 'send on behalf' as the mail@mail2.com (=ERROR)
The latter should never ever happen, because the maildomains (in my organization) should be completly seperated from each other
Why is MS doing this? And is it possible to avoid this?
