icloud calendar and Contacts

My icloud calendar and contacts no longer show up in outlook on my PC. I have had recent updates to windows 10, and wonder if this may have removed the icloud. Icloud still seems to be installed on my computer and icloud photo and icloud drive are there. Email still syncs with my iPhone. What do I do?

Outlook login fails

This is exchange 2016 by the way.

I have imported a certificate with adcs to my exchange server, and now when i try to connect automatically with a user in outlook it fails "logging on to the mail server". Then it prompts for a password but just prompts again when i type it in. The same user can however log on to OWA just fine, it jsut fails when i try to do it through outlook.

Hi

We are using Exchange 2013 for the messaging Service.We have 3 CAS servers with Citrix Netscaler.

Some of our users are using open source email  client like icedove .The users who are using icedove , the email delivery failed with error message

421 4.4.2 Message submission rate for this client has exceeded the configured limit ~> QUIT

*** Remote host closed connection unexpectedly.

Could you please share what me the issue.

Outlook 2016 - (Sent) Email Shows with Paperclip but doesn't have attachment

A client of ours has the latest version of Office 2016 installed. The Outlook version is 16.0.6568.2036

The user has been having issues when sending attachments. It's an intermittent issue, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't. 

The user attaches an attachment to an email and sends it to a recipient. The paperclip to suggest there's an attachment on the email is shown but when she opens the email from within the sent box there is no attachment. The recipient hasn't received the attachment either.

The user would then create a new email with the same attachment and the same recipient and it sends fine.  

I've checked the mail logs in Exchange 2010 and the server doesn't receive the attachment. (The email is too small)

I've disabled all the addons within Outlook and turned off the Antivirus on the machine. Doesn't fix the issue. 

Looking in the OWA the email shows as not having an attachment but again within Outlook 2016 it does. 

I've ran a repair on Office and made sure all the updates for both Windows and Office are installed. Only this one user is affected within the organisation. 

To clarify the Outlook is configured to use a local (on-premise) Exchange 2010 server. The PC is on a local Domain.

We have Planned to role back the GPO Set for Outlook cache from 6 Months to 12 Months. This settings will impact my network bandwidth now.

I am looking for any possibilities that would be help me to set or changes in Policy which will include the set of emails or date of emails will be downloaded or sync after applying the policy

Working hours issue

Hi,

We are struggling with setting up working hours in the calendar for a specific user. We need to set WorkDays to Weekdays, WorkingHours from 08:00 to 16:00.

When we do that, both the user and others who the user is sharing his calendar with, see the whole week without any WorkingHours at all in their Outlook. Although the hours are displayed correctly in OWA.

If for testing purposes we change WorkDays to Monday,Tuesday,Wednesday,Thursday, then the WorkingHours are displayed correctly in both Outlook and OWA (for both the user and others who see his calendar) on these days. But as soon as we add Friday (WorkDays change to Weekdays), WorkinHours disappear in Outlook. Have tested with several PCs, Outlook 2010, 2013, 2016.

Any ideas on how to fix the calendar issue for this user ?

OOF and InBox-Rule not working

Hi all

I have a 2013 Exchange server, where inbox-rules and oof have stop working, after a crash.

If I run the rule manually i works fine, but not automatic.  That makes me think, it might be the same problem

that curses the two things to stop working.

Can anyone give me a hint on what to look for ?

Added attendee to single meeting occurrence, but they show up in the series

I have a recurring calendar appointment for training (I'm the trainer).  When I schedule a group, I add the users to an occurrence, they attend, and life is good.

On some occasions, I've noticed a single random user was added to the series.  Up until a couple of weeks ago, I've been the only victim (AFAIK).  However, one of my users in a different department experienced the same issues.

We're both pretty sure we didn't accidentally add to the series.  Where should I first look to start my troubleshooting?

Presence icon missing in Outlook 2013 and 2016

Hi all,

some of our users are experiencing issue with missing presence icon on the left side:

They do not see this icon, only user name. Presence is working fine if we hover over the name and contact card shows up. In OWA it is also working as expected.

Tried both Outlook 2013 and 2016 with same issue. Disabled and also enabled hardware acceleration without any help.

If same account is logged in on another pc, it works fine so it is local issue.

I suspect it is because the issue pc has 4k monitor, we tried different DPI and screen resolution without any help. Even external monitor in difference size has this issue.

Tried GFX driver from pc manufactor, Windows update and also GFX provider without any help.

Seems like this is a known issue from earlier client:

This registry did not help since path shown in the link does not exist. (Common\PersonaMenu and Common\IM).

Does anyone have a workaround for this?

Computer is brand new and it is an annoying bug, since our users have to hover to see their presence.

Outlook on iOS creates calendar entries with UTC

Hello, 

Whenever a calendar entry is created using the Outlook app for iOS, then on the desktop Outlook 2016 shows up with the same date but the wrong time because it's in UTC time zone, instead of MST which is what we use. 

Exchange is 2010 and up-to-date with latest rollup. This issue does not happen with the native iOS nor Android mail apps. 

iPhone 6 has iOS version 9.1.3, and the desktop has Mac OSX 10.11.5, and Outlook 2016 desktop program is up-to-date.

Have looked for a setting in the app to fix that, but there is none.

Move Message Feature Not Working Properly

I would like to move messages from a particular sender to a certain folder. The messages are moving to the correct folder, but copies of them are being left in the inbox. And, yes, I triple-checked to make sure that I hadn't selected "copy" instead of "move."

In the previous version of Outlook.com, this feature worked correctly, but since the update happened, it no longer does. I have deleted and re-created the rule, but I am running into the same results.

We are currently setup in Hybrid mode with Office 365 and Exchange 2013 CU13.  We also have ADFS 3.0 setup for authentication....so my question is....How do MAC users on Outlook for MAC 2016 change their windows password?  Should I enable write-back is AAD...or is there something I am missing?

Exchange 2010 / Outlook 2013.

Our Customer Service department shares a common calendar.  This calendar goes back a while so it was set up in the public folders, added to their favorites, etc.  I have given three users Publishing Editor permissions on the Exchange server in Default Public Folders.  Only one of the three can delete entries.  The other two can add but cannot delete their own entries nor anyone else.  I added myself as a Publishing Editor.  Same problem for me, but I can delete my own entries.

Any suggestions would be appreciated.

how does Outlook does searches if MS search service disabled in Exchange?

due to hd space shortage, a few months ago i disabled the search index services for Exchange in all my MB servers. i would like to know how Outlook behaves when a search index service is disabled in Exchange.

the reason is lately, we've been getting different search results in Outlook. like if i search for "from: bugs", Outlook would return nothing. however, if i search for "subject: apples" and Bugs have an email with apples as subject, Outlook would present me the results. then after sometime later, if i do a search again for "from: bugs", there'd now be a search result.

is that behaviour due to disabling of the Exchange search index or what?

We got an issue that we couldnt find a solution in Exchange 2013.

We have a shared mailbox. It was migrated from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Everything fine and no error.

But users reported ,who added this mailbox via Outlook 2007 as delagate, cannot search mail item "Inbox" folder directly. Message appeared "Client Operation failed". But they can search e-mails subfolders in Outlook. When they reach the OWA, they can search and find e-mails as well. No problem.

We have a doubt about some mail items that may be corrupted and caused this issue.

What I did for this mailbox:

1. Outlook profile removed and recreated again. not working!

2. Mailbox was exported-imported as PST file and connected this mailbox to a user that doesnt have mailbox. not working!

3. We have tried different Outlook client, but same error in Outlook 2013.

4. We have tried different Windows 7 client, but same error.

5. Outlook 2007 logging was enabled. I cannot find useful and meaningful things in the log files.

Exchange version : Exchange 2013 CU10

Outlook version : Outlook 2007 SP3-12.0.6691.5000

Only one way to resolve this issue is  moving mailbox back to Exchange 2007 and After this, users are able to search and find any e-mails items as a healthy. They are happy while searching Exchange 2007, but recently we have uninstallation plan for Exchange 2007.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.
