We have recently moved to O365.  All is going well except two users are getting the "Something went wrong".  Here is the context of the error.

A problem occurred while you were trying to use your mailbox.

I have enabled/disabled the MAPI (and the others also) service to no avail.

Outlook web mail - sending mail with attachment problems

Hi,

Out of the blue in the last week I have discovered that emails that I send FROM my msn.com email address with an attachment are not being received.

They appear in the Sent box in Outlook, but they aren't ever received. It happens to most, but not quite all emails I send, but always to emails with an attachment.

I have not changed anything in the last few weeks.

Windows 10, Chrome 32 bit version...

Doesn't make any difference if I use MS Edge either.

Anyone have any ideas?

Outlook 2013 Crashing - Faulting module name: KERNELBASE.dll

Hello, I'm having an issue with one workstation where Outlook 2013 crashes, at different times. For the most part it crashes when you click on one of the navigation bar links at the bottom.  Sometimes the user can work in the inbox for a while but as soon as they click into People, or tasks or calendar the program crashes....

The latest test that suggests this is an Exchange issue was I setup an outlook.com account and outlook did not crash. But once I load any exchange account, while logged into the machine as any user, outlook crashes.

System Info and Environment:
HP800G1 - All HP bloatware removed
Windows 7 SP1 - Patched to August 2016
Domain/Exchange

Other troubleshooting steps.

Safe Mode - Did not help
SCANPST - Repaired errors but did not fix
Office Repair
MS automate troubleshooting service - Repaired errors but did not fix
MS Uninstall tool and re-install

Unable to use OWA from external networks with Internet Explorer

Hi All,
we have an issue accessing OWA from domain clients using Internet Explorer from external networks.
If we access OWA from the LAN, the Integrated Windows Authentication works fine, but if the same client is used from outside the LAN, Internet explorer shows the error "This page can't b displayed".
To get it work, we need to disable the "Integrated Windows Authentication" option from IE (or use another browser).

How can fix this problem?

Thanks

Formatting on pasted signature in OWA

$

Greetings all!

We are attempting to create an e-signature process that works both in desktop client and web app versions of Outlook.   It would be based on style and formatting associated with our branding.

We would have a company logo and disclaimer generated by Exchange with individual staff creating their personal demographics from a template we would provide in an HTML file.

We find that pasting the demographic part of the signature from our simple HTML source directly into the OWA signature manager area in settings does not retain formatting retained in the desktop client, specifically a margin in the bottom to provide a space between the staff's demographics and the logo/disclaimer.

If I try to create a new version of the signature in Word, save as HTML file and then paste in OWA, I always get the signature is too long.

Any ideas on how to create an OWA signature that retains our formatting needs and maintains the space before the Exchange generated logo and disclaimer?

Thanks!

We are facing issue with the global address list, one of the account is showing up with globe icon with single user icon. We checked there was one account but it was not either linked or having mailbox. But it is been displaying in the GAL. No public folder, no contacts in Exchange and in AD, no groups. Not sure how to find and remove. Please suggest a tool to remove the same.

Autodiscover Cutover

Hello

We currently have a coexisting Exhange 2013 and 2010 enviorment.

This enviorment was setup by an administrator who is no longer here.

There seems to be two autodiscover URL's configured, one for 2010 and one for 2013

2010 autodiscover is autodiscover.company.com

2013 autodiscover is outlook.company.com

questions:

What method would have been used to force clients to use the 2013 auto discover instead of the 2010?

How can i tell if anyone is still connecting to the old 2010 auto discover?

Is it best practice to have a new auto discover when migrating from 2010 to 2013?

Thanks

Hi all

I have a 2013 Exchange server, where inbox-rules and oof have stop working, after a server crash.

If I run the rule manually i works fine, but not automatic.  That makes me think, it might be the same problem

that curses the two things to stop working.

Can anyone give me a hint on what to look for ?

Password prompt for On-Premise users when opening O365 Calendars

Hi,

We have a hybrid setup with Exchange 2013 and O365, dirsync and ADFS are configured and working correctly, end-users have Outlook 2013 running on 2008R2 RD Servers.  Mail-flow and migrations are working correctly.  O365 homed users are not prompted for credentials when opening Outlook 2013.

The problem arises when on-premise homed users try to access an O365 user's calendar.  Outlook prompts for credentials when connecting to the calendar, when the user enters their credentials the calendar opens as expected.

The O365 calendar permissions have the default set to reviewer, the same as the on-premise users.

Any ideas?

Separate Booking Policy Windows for Recurring and Single

Hello,

I was asked today to see if we could make it so no one could book a recurring meeting further out than 6 months, but to be able to book a single meeting up to a year out. Strange request I know, but I would figure I would reach out to see if anyone has done this.

Thanks

Disable ActiveSync signatures

Hi -

We will be centrally managing email signatures in Exchange 2013 Organization using Exclaimer software.

We want to turn off email signatures in Outlook which can be accomplished using AD GPO for domain joined machines.

Do you know how to disable on non Domain joined machines? For. Example anyone can configure outlook anywhere on their personal machine at home to use Outlook and use their signature.

For OWA Signature feature can be turned by using the OWA Policy.

Do you know how to turn off signatures for ActiveSync devices? Such as IOS and Android devices?

Meeting Forward Notification (MFN) sends to a user when the user s delegate creates a new meeting on the user s calendar

Hi,

Recently I started to receive complains from important employees in my organization that when their delegates create new meetings from their calendars, and invite other attendees - they receive a Meeting Forward Notification.

This bothers them, and according to them that wasn't the situation before recently.

I never had the chance to know what was the situation previously, and also didn't check myself if their complains are true and they're doing everything right.

I only want at this stage to know:

Is this by design?

Is there a possibility to disable this without disabling MFN's totally (Just that MFN's won't be sent when delegate create a new meeting)?

Were the conditions for MFN change recently?

Does it relate to infrastructure configuration?

Is there any permissions configuration where this issue doesn't occur (For example to grant mailbox level permissions)?

All mailboxes related to this issue are in exchange 2013, using outlook 2010 or OWA.

Thanks in advance.

Jumping to an Exchange Public folder in Outlook

Hi,

I know that in Windows Explorer, you can search for folders via wildcards, such as *CommonFolderText*.

Is there a way to achieve the same for Exchange Public folders using Outlook's search functionality?

Many thanks in advance,

Keith

Outlook anywhere works from internet but not in LAN

Hi Folks,

We have 2 Exchanges CAS servers load balanced using netscaler. Users are able to connect OWA and Outlook client from internet without any issue. They are aso able to add new profile to outlook client.

But in LAN users are able to access OWA, however not able to create a new profile in outlook client. Interesting thing is users in LAN are able to use outlook client  send and receiver emails if they already have it configured, but not able to add a new profile to outlook client from LAN.

Regards !

Meetings created after some time start shoing up "re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar" with no body information e.g. Lync meeting

My manager is having a problem.  "randomly" reoccurring meetings in outlook will after some time start showing as this:

"Exchange 2013 re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar"

With all the "meat" of the body is missing.

We are running Exchange 2013 SP1 and Outlook 2013.  They look the same in OWA.  Meetings can be from different senders, different times etc.

Any thoughts?

Outlook\Server rule not working

Hi,

In Outlook 2013 and 2010 (only these two I checked) we have the below options within rules -

1. With specific words in the sender's address

2. Have server reply using a specific message.

The issue is -

When I apply this rule to a mailbox of Exchange 2010 or 2007 server, this rule not works (not sending auto reply). I tested it from Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010.

When I apply this rule to a mailbox of Exchange 2013 server, this rule works perfectly. Sender is receiving the desired auto reply. This rule works both outlook open and closed.

Kindly Suggest why this rule is not working for Exchange 2010 and 2007 mailboxes.

Thanks.
