Rules won't run automatically, error dialog that folder is full, but no folder listed

Good morning, all!

Have run into a small problem with my Outlook 2013 client attached to Exchange 2013 and the way it runs rules.

Have been dealing with a problem where rules don't automatically run.  Deleted and recreated rules with no avail.

Then, just a couple of days ago I got an error while working with rules. The dialog box claimed that the folder listed for the rule was over quota. However, there wasn't a folder shown, just a blank. 

I deleted all my rules and was able to create some new ones with no errors. However, they still don't work automatically, but do run manually.

I have disabled Cached Exchange mode to see if the rules run automatically.  If so, then the problem lies with the local Outlook installation.  If not, then I think I'll have to look at the Exchange server itself.

Any thoughts on this so far? If I do need to do surgery on my Exchange mailbox, what might be necessary?

OUTLOOK 2013 DISCONNECTS TO EXCHANGE SERVER

Hello,

I am a student at The Ohio State University. I configured Outlook 2013 to check my EXCHANGE SERVER. It was successfully configured. However, outlook RANDOMLY disconnects to my EXCHANGE SERVER. I have been experiencing this for a month.

After I restart my computer, outlook will connect to my email again, but it will still disconnect to my email randomly at another time the day after
I am using window 8.1
Outlook 2013 (latest version)

Auth. method when changing password

Hi all,

I setup my exchange OWA to login only with username (no domain needed), BUT when someone have to change its password, the user must enter domain\username. How can I change this (if possible)?

Outlook login fails

This is exchange 2016 by the way.

I have imported a certificate with adcs to my exchange server, and now when i try to connect automatically with a user in outlook it fails "logging on to the mail server". Then it prompts for a password but just prompts again when i type it in. The same user can however log on to OWA just fine, it jsut fails when i try to do it through outlook.

Certificate info for the one i created:

New-Owavirtualdirectory Exchange 2013

Hi,

I have lost my OWA Virtualdirectory and I get error when I created new one:

exchange protocols - MAPI, MAPI over HTTP, outlook anywhere. what are the differences?

Hi.

I am completely confused- I am trying to understand the differences between MAPI, MAPI over HTTP, and outlook anywhere. From this article: https://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn635177(v=exchg.150).aspx it seems that exchange uses RPC directly with outlook clients.

they all seem to involve RPC (my understanding is that MAPI is even running on the same ports as RPC), but I can't understand the differences between them, why the need to switch protocols, and what is was used when (in what version of exchange)

A short 'for dummies' explanation will be greatly appreciated

Exchange 2013 How to add additional Outlook Profile??

Hi,

We are running Exchange 2013, there are Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010 users.

Few questions:

1. In Mail > Account Settings > when we click on the existing Outlook profile. Why is the Server settings' greyed out?

and instead of server name, it is showing some sort of numbers @domain.com?

2. Also, how can we go about adding a second Outlook profile in this scenario?

Meeting invites do not show up in Outlook or OWA

Our environment is Exchange 2013 CU9.

We have a user who cannot see meeting invites. Message tracking shows that they are being delivered to her mailbox and she can see the tentative calendar event in her calendar, but she doesn't see the meeting invite in her inbox. This also applies to meeting invites for another user for whom she is a delegate.

We have removed all of her rules and checked to see if she has ghost references to a delegate who's account has been deleted but there are no delegates. It is acting like she has a delegate that is tagged to receive invites on her behalf but there are no delegates.

Any ideas?

Exchange 2013 + Outlook 2013 | Items moved from inbox to PST change from HTML to RTF

Exchange 2013 with CU7 installed.

When i move an item from INBOX to PST folder, it changes from HTML to RTF look.

How to resolve?

Outlook 2013 cannot start outlook

Suddenly some users cannot open Outlook 2013 anymore to connect to their mailboxes.

Other users have no problems at all while using the same Exchange 2013 server.

When i start outlook.exe /rpcdiag only connection CID 5 and CID 11 are made and the error message pops up that Microsoft Outlook cannot start. 

"cannot start microsoft outlook. cannot open the outlook window. the set of folders cannot be opened"

After multiple tries Outlook will start and when i check /rpcdiag more connections are made.

The user has multiple shared mailboxes connected. 

Please help.

Error 500 after Updating from SP1 to CU12

Just upgraded from 2013 SP1 to CU12 in a hybrid environment, now I cannot get to the https://SERVER/ecp/?ExchClientVer=15 website. I checked the Application log and got this error that I cannot figure out:

Exchange 2013, what is the best way for me to tell if a mailbox has been accessed, ever, via OWA? Is there a log I can look at, or possibly a powershell command to expose this?

Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365

I downloaded the Microsoft Support and Recovery Assistant for Office 365. When I try to use it to fix my Outlook disconnecting problem, it says "Sorry, we do not yet support email addresses from this provider. My provider is Office 365 and my email address is an Outlook.com address!!!!! How can Microsoft not support themselves as a provider? Google Apps is becoming more and more appealing.

Public Web Calendar won't show appointments after 8th March 2017

Hello,

We have been sharing an exchange calendar on our website for over a year now and its been working well.

Today we discovered that events that have been put into the calendar after the 8th of March 2017 will not show on the web version. e.g I have created an event on 8th March 2017 and it shows fine, I have created events on the 9,10,11 MArch and they don't show. Events created before this date do display.

I have checked noting is set to private etc and all is correct. I then created a new calendar and the same happens.

Anyone else spotted this?I've been searching for a solution but can't find anything.

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Have exchange 2013 and trying to move items from my Inbox to a subfolder that has years of email in it.  Is there a limitation in Exchange for folder size or is there something else I can look at?

how does Outlook does searches if MS search service disabled in Exchange?

Exchange 2013 cu10

due to hd space shortage, a few months ago i disabled the search index services for Exchange in all my MB servers. i would like to know how Outlook behaves when a search index service is disabled in Exchange.

the reason is lately, we've been getting different search results in Outlook. like if i search for "from: bugs", Outlook would return nothing. however, if i search for "subject: apples" and Bugs have an email with apples as subject, Outlook would present me the results. then after sometime later, if i do a search again for "from: bugs", there'd now be a search result.

is that behaviour due to disabling of the Exchange search index or what?
