Before this was happening on different VM, now migrated to this new and still issues are the same. This happens only for one user in domain. He is using outlook 2013.

Have a room resource that sometime only show room booked for 10 min, But in the user calendar it shows the correct booking time.
Have checked the rooms mailbox and the auto-accept message from the room show the correct time for the meeting.
Have anyone run into the same problem?

I know this is a 2013 forum, but want to know why suddenly my client's Exchange is only allowing IMAP accounts? By this I mean that normally, one would set up Outlook and it connects to the exchange server and add the account as an exchange account.
Now suddenly when I do this, it defaults and configured an IMAP account? No matter what I try, it keeps defaulting back to IMAP. And this is for no single user...if I add any users account on any PC's Outlook, it pulls through as an IMAP account.
If I disable IMAP altogether, it wont connect to the server. Must be something small or simple I'm overlooking. It always worked fine as it should, just started this week.

I have a client using Exchange 2010 SP3 , 2MBx servers in DAG, 2 HUB/CAS servers configured with WNLB, no DNS round robin, Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 are widely used, we dont have Lync/OCS/SFB servers, also we dont use public folders, "autodiscover.domain.com" is resolving to the IP address of WNLB, when I locate the servicebindinginformation it showshttps://autodiscover.domain.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml for both the CAS servers, does not show the actual servers fqdn.
Recently we have started deploying outlook 2016 and after which we immediately started experiencing the password prombt issues on the outlook 2016 clients but later we noticed this hapennig with outlook 2013 also, Outlook anywhere is enabled , outlook are configured with autodicover.
1. Reconfiguring outlook profiles, did not help.
2. Bypassing WNLB (by pointing autodiscover to CAS server directly) still the same issue.
3. manual configuration , still same issue.
4. as the problem is expericecnd with outlook 2013 and Outlook 2016 both , i dont think this prob is due to outlook version.
5. This problem is also not related to password cache, as I already validated.
6. No certificate related issue, validated the certificates on all the Exchange servers.

Hi All,
I had issues in syncing my email in my iPhone 6 and I have tried deleting the exchange from my iPhone and tried adding it again. Here is the issue started - I am not able to add the account again.
Unable to verify the account information.
Device : iPhone 6 running latest OS
OWA : OWA 2013
Tried the following and failed:
1. Deleted and tried adding it again
2. Reset my network settings
3. Removed the SSL settings and tried
4. Restarted my phone
5. changed my outlook password twice

We have a exchange 2013 sp1 setup.
Have enabled group owners to manage group membership using RBAC as per the below url
The DL owners are able to modify the groups in outlook . However in OWA they are not able to see the "distribution groups I own" option in users owa/ecp. They are able t see the "distribution groups I belong to".
Have reviewed the above blog once again to confirm that i did it right. What am i missing?

I have created messages approval rule. when User1 sent message then Forward the message for approval to User2.
But when User2 login to OWA or MS outllook 2010 then User2 can not find out Approve / Reject buttons.
Please help me solve this problem

I've inherited a system where there has been an exchange 2007 to 2013 upgrade and Outlook won't configure it self using the PRF. The PRF had the old server name but now have the new. When I run it, it fails with an unhelpful "outlook can not log on. Verify you are connected to the network......". If I click OK the server name is listed in the box but when clicking on "Check Name" it comes up with the same error. The server is correct and if I configure outlook manually it works fine but i need an automatic way of getting outlook configured.

HR sends calendar invites daily, and every time we send a calendar invite our computer freezes and dos not respond for approximately 1 minute sometimes more. As employees accept the calendar invite, our computers freeze for about 1 minute per each acceptance. If I send a large calendar invite for a training, I may not be able to use my computer for 30 minutes. In the morning when I receive notifications that employees have accepted my invites my computer freezes. If I try to edit a response before sending a calendar invite then the response freezes and I am not able to efficiently type a response and send.

at organization two domains A - Exchange 2007 and B - Exchange 2013. Users at B domain connect to Exchange 2007 over Outlook 2007/2013/2016. Now after enable mailbox for them at Excahnge 2013, need re-configure Outlook.
In outlook try delete old account, and add new (Exchange2013). But Outlook does not want automatically set connection server name and user name, only manually.
If outlook not was configured before (do not use old account, clear profile), outlook automatically adjusted - autodiscover werk fine. If outlook use old account before, autodiscover does not work.

I was after some help as to why when you have a Room Resource set to auto schedule ie reject the appointment if the resource is busy or accept if not, when the meeting is rejected or someone doesn't have permission to book this it adds the meeting request as rejected into the individuals calendar.
This is causing us some issues as people are getting confused as it pops up with a meeting reminder to tell them they rejected a meeting which of course is proving a bit confusing.
Is there a way just to have it reject the item and not add it into the individuals calendar?
We are using Exchange 2013 with office 365 and 2013

I got a strange connectivity issue with one specific user. Upon starting Outlook 2016 it asks if an email account should be created. Autodiscover triggers and resolves user name and email correctly.
Access via OWA runs flawlessly.
Access via iPhone runs flawlessly.
(sry for german)
Clicking next, I keep running into this error:
(again sorry for german, it says: "No connection to Microsoft Exchange available. Outlook has to be in online mode or connected to finish this process")
Again: all other means of access work flawlessly. Autodiscover works for every user, too.
Anybody got an idea? Much appreciated!

The computer is a Windows 7 Pro x64 on a domain. The user is a normal domain user with local admin rights. He's using Office 2010 and Outlook 2010 (x86).
User 1 has the problem.
User 2 does not.
Using hosted exchange server from <g class="gr_ gr_50 gr-alert gr_spell gr_run_anim ContextualSpelling ins-del multiReplace" data-gr-id="50" id="50">appriver</g>.
User 1 always has to input his password when opening Outlook.
User 2 doesn't.
Both users use the same computer - just different profiles.
When User 1 inputs his password, if he closes his outlook or logs off the computer or restarts it, his generic credentials for his Outlook (to retain his username/password) disappear (and he's forced to input his password again once he starts up Outlook). His Persistence is always Logon Session.
User 2 doesn't have this problem. The credentials stay put and are Enterprise.
What's wrong w/user 1? I've re-created his profile 2x's on this computer. Even on another computer - same problem. Even while logged in as user 2, I'd create an outlook profile for user 1 and the problem still remains. I can log in as user 1 and make a new outlook profile for user 2, but no problems. I think user 1 is cursed or something. His account on the hosted exchange is no different than 30 other users - same w/his local domain account. Yet he's the only one w/this problem. I even made a new test email account and created that email address while logged in as user 1. No problems. I went to 4 different computers in the office and logged in as user 1, setup Outlook. Problem exists. Are you kidding me??
What do you think is happening? Is user 1 just doomed forever to input his password?

I wonder if you can help me, At work we share our calendars with everybody else in our department. The bosses have decided to create project teams do do certain tasks at certain times in the working week. Putting each project teams calendars into groups is easy but what I want to do is specify certain dates and times for each project group so that when I click on a project group of calendars it only displays the days and times when the people in the team are actually working on the project. For example team1 works on their project from 15.00 to 17.00 mondays and tuesdays, while team 2 works wednesdays and fridays from 17.00 to 19.00 etc. The other stipulation is that people must be able to edit the calendars to add/delete tasks into 15 min time slots within these hours.
I guess the only way is to use the SQL tab under the filter setting in view settings then save it as aspecific view associated with each group, but how and what command do I use.
If someone could help me on this it would be much appreciated
