Receiving Emails is not working
I am using Exchange 2013 for internal use onely.
I have problems with receiving emails in outlook and owa.
I can send but not received especially when I use OWA (internally; with some users who has some problems with outlook), emails take long time to be received or send.
All services are running.
when I check the local server of exchange, I can find these errors. Do I have to take them seriously cause I have no printer.

OWA client defaults to "Reply All"
Is there a way to set the default for the reply button in OWA to "Reply" instead of "Reply All"? I know how to change it on existing mailboxes usingIsReplyAllTheDefaultResponse in PowerShell, but it would be much easier to have it be the default for new mailboxes.
And I have to add, I think making "Reply All" the default is extremely misguided. I can't understand the thinking there at all.
Thanks,
John

New e-mails directly go to Conflict folder.
Hi guys,
Office365 user is using Outlook 2016 client, Catched Exchange Mode is on. All good except some automatic system notification e-mails from one website were going to the Conflict folder, user is able to see the emails in the Inbox and caused delayed response.
How could we avoid this if we don't turn off the Catched Mode?
Thank you very much!

site mailboxes and mx record
Hi,
can the use of cname entries for hostnamed site collections play together with site mailboxes?
lets say I have an A-record hnsc-app.contoso.com and several CNAME aliases for team Sites. TeamA.contoso.com, TeamB.contoso.com.
For an email to sitemailbox@teama.Contoso.com the CNAME would point to hnsc-app.contoso.com and there find the mx record pointing towards our Exchange Server, right?
thanks in advance

Office 2013 "Working Elsewhere" not viewable in Scheduling Assistant
Hey
I have a problem with appointments that have the Show As option as "Working Elsewhere". When someone tries to use the scheduling assistant and selects someone who has an appointment set to "Working Elsewhere" the appointment is not visible at all in Scheduling Assistant. If the person changes the appointment to Busy or Out of Office is becomes visible again to the person using Scheduling Assistant. Outlook 2013 and Exchange Server 2010 with the latest updates installed are being used in our Environment. Is this type of behaviour by design or is it something else like using Exchange 2010 that doesn't support it fully?
Thanks for the help

Synchronization error Mail-app
Hi everyone,
I have a problem with my Mail-app on my Windows 10-computer. The Mail-app does not synchonize anymore, because of an error (0x80072f99). I have contacted Microsoft before, but they could not help me. If you are Dutch, you can read it here: http://answers.microsoft.com/nl-nl/windows/forum/apps_windows_10-outlook_mail/synchronisatie-mail-app-windows-10/20e9042d-a03c-4305-be9e-83d4a7424fb7?page=1. Does anyone have a solution for this problem?
Kind regards,

Shared calendar auto attendant forwarding meeting requests to Editors
Hi
(Microsoft Exchange Server 2010 SP2)
I've got 8 shared calendars with the Resource Booking Attendant set to automatically accept requests from anyone in 2 domain security groups, called OTAuthor and OTEditor. (These 2 groups have Reviewer and Editor permissions respectively on all 8 calendars).
None of the mailboxes has anyone set up as a delegate, and the "Forward meeting requests to delegates" box is NOT ticked.
Everything works as it should, except anyone in the Editor group receives a notification of every new meeting request for all calendars. This isn't the expected or desired behaviour: I want the request to go into the inbox of the shared calendar, and into the requestor's inbox, but not to get sent to everyone with Editor rights over the calendar.Get-CalendarProcessing returns the following (domain names removed for security purposes):-

How do I turn on the envelope icon for 2nd account?
I have recently updated to Outlook 2016 on Windows 10.
I have two accounts in Outlook, both of which are exchange. I have always received envelope icons for both accounts in all previous versions. However, now I only receive them for one account. This is a big problem as I essentially get no notification that I have received new mail.
The 'display envelope icon in task bar' is ticked for both accounts in options, and notifications are turned on in the settings, they're just not actually appearing.

Forward if not in To or Cc
Hello
I was wondering if there was a way of forwarding messages to people that are not included in the original email. I receive emails with a specific subject line that some people are missing. I would like to forward the email only to the ones that are missing from the email list.
Example:
Check "With specific words in the subject" and choose the words "IT: Followup"
I would like to make sure the entire team receives the email.
On the rules I can forward if specific people are included on the email, but is there a way for specific people missing from the email?
Thank you,

Emails stuck in outbox at random - Exchange 2013/Outlook 2010
This one particular user is set up slightly differently to everyone else. Shes a PA to the CEO - call her A.
She logs in to the network as A and has her own mailbox. However, she full access to CEO mailbox and user B.
Her outlook is set up as default CEO, with A and B also. She rarely uses her own A mailbox.
Most of the day she SENDS AS CEO.
Intermittently, emails get stuck and remain in the outbox. Sometimes if you go into email and send again it works (but leaves copy behind in outbox). Sometimes not.
Also, new emails SEND AS CEO go into CEO SENT items. Emails replied to (even though SEND AS CEO) go into user A SENT items.
Tried new profile. Still the same.

Exchange 2013 : Multi-Tenant autodiscover problem
Hello all,
We have installed 2 x Exchange 2013 sp1 (CAS+MBX) servers in multi-tenant configuration and everything worked fine until last week one of our users called to report repeating log in prompt for his account in outlook. By trying few troubleshooting steps i could see that this domain only (lets call it domain1.com) has issues with autodiscover authentication but all of other 10+ domains work fine. We use autodiscover-redirect.domain.com for redirection to primary domain. Please find Test E-mail AutoConfiguration log below :
"Autodiscover to https://domain1.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml starting
GetLastError=0; httpStatus=401
GetLastError=0; httpStatus=401
GetLastError=0; httpStatus=401

Autodiscover to https://autodiscover.domain1.com/autrodiscover/autodiscover.xml Failed (0x800C820D)
Redirect Check to https://autodiscover.domain1.com/autrodiscover/autodiscover.xml
and so on until it successfully pick up all settings..."
Eeach time "httpStatus=401" error appears it asks for log in credentials. 6 times total. domain1.com has CNAME DNS record that points to autodiscover-redirect.domain.com.
Anyone had or has same issue?

error message on OL2010 "problem with proxy Certificate (80000000)"
Hi
I have a problem since a couple of month with following message that some Outlook 2010 Users have occasionally:
There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate, <CAS-Array>. Outlook is unable to connect to this server. (80000000)
If i checked the connections if the message come up. Outlook works fine and all connections are ok. I have tried to enable Outlook Logging but i found no hint about the message.
I checked the KB:
https://support.microsoft.com/
Our enviroment is a 2013 CU11 4-Node Multirole DAG. All clients (only Outlook 2010) are patched with the last Updates. We have no PF since we migrated from 2010 last year. The Cas-Array was load-balenced about a F5 V11. Our Certificates comes from a internal
Enterprise CA.
I also enabled Outlook logging but i did't found something.
The big Problem for me is that the Message comes very rarly.
Thanks for any assistance!

Florian

Issues in Outlook 2010/2016 Reoccurring Calendar Appointments for a User with Shared Calendar Access
Hi All,
Just asked this question over in the office forum but was told it would be best for me to post it here instead.
We have an issue in a clients environment with Outlook and Exchange playing up with calendar invites and corrupting reoccurring calendar appointments.
I will break down the scenario in detail below (sorry for the long post).
For the sake of discussion we have Jill who is the PA for Kate.
Jill has shared access to Kate's calendar and inbox so that she can accept and create meeting requests and move existing ones.
The issue comes about when Jill creates a reoccurring calendar appointment like a meeting. The meeting will display fine in Jill's outlook and you can open the meeting and read all the information from inside of it without any issues.
When Jill adds Kate in as a member of the meeting then Kate will receive the email to accept the meeting request, if she tries to accept the meeting request from Kate's inbox it will prompt with an error saying "Cannot open this item. The operation failed. An object cannot be found."
Upon closing the error the appointment still appears in Kate's calendar with Kate accepting it as tentative.
The second part of this is that you can open the calendar appointments for the reoccurring meeting fine but should you move any of the reoccurring entries for the meeting (say if you had to move the meeting forward or backwards one week) then you will no longer be able to open that calendar entry and it just displays an error message saying that the file can't be found.
The original setup when this initially happened was as follows:
* Outlook 2010 on physical computer
* Exchange 2010
Recently implemented setup that is now in use and the problem still occurs:
* Outlook 2016 via Citrix on thin client
* Exchange 2010
From the testing that I have done I believe it is either something with the OST/PST file that is created for the users profile or communication to the Exchange server not updating changes correctly. Happy to provide logs or additional details to solve this issue!!
Thanks in advance for any assistance,
Ben

Outlook 2016 Desktop, Inbox "resets"
I'm having issues with Outlook where my inbox (connected to Exchange Server) "resets" and completely empties and then has to redownload everything from the server. This happens to me multiple times per day. The mail isn't actually deleted and if I log into OWA on the web I can see everything, it is only affecting me through Outlook.
Issue occurred both in Outlook 2013 and now 2016.
I've deleted my OST multiple times and had it recreated.
I've deleted my Mail profile and recreated.
I've slimmed down what I store on Exchange. It's currently about 800 items in the inbox and less than 650mb (in the inbox proper)
Cached Exchange mode is enabled and I've played with the length of time... from 6 months to 12 to 24.
I've searched the web and can't find anything. I've engaged our IT team and they don't know what's causing it. I've enabled logging in Outlook, but I can't interpret the logs.
It FEELS like if I'm on a slow internet connection it happens more frequently. Almost like it loses sync with Exchange. It only seems to affect the actual inbox, and other nested folders on Exchange don't seem to be affected. Same with the calendar. I don't know if that's all in my head or not...
Any ideas Netizens?
