How To Setup The Local Exchange Server 2013 To Retrieve Emails From A Third Party Email Service.

Hello Technet,

I have a local Windows Server 2012 R2 with Exchange 2013 installed, user accounts have been added and is currently being used for local access to a shared calendar and contacts. We also have an addition POP Account on every computer that sends/receives emails through Fatcow (Like GoDaddy). As of right now, each of the user workstations are going out to the Internet (Fatcow) to get emails. The goal is to have only the server go and check each mailbox at Fatcow and download the emails to the local Exchange Server so users on the local network only have to check the local Exchange Server for new emails. This will also allow me to remove the additional POP accounts (after exporting/importing user emails to the local Exchange Server) from each of the user workstations so that the only account that is on their Outlooks are the Exchange Accounts.

Outlook 2010 auto move email from inbox to junk

Dear All,

I'm having a serious problem with my customer while they're using Outlook 2010 to check mail from Exchange Server 2013.

The problem is: some specific mails from few senders keep automatically move to junk email, it happen when the mail already in inbox, but a few minute later it auto move to junk, and it happen again and again although how many time I manually move it inbox, it still auto move to junk after that.

Here is what I have done for about a year to now but still cannot work:

- In client PC: - Add sender emails to safe senders list in outlook.

                      - Create rules to automatic move senders email to inbox in outlook.

                      - Turn off firewall.

- In Exchange Mail Server:

                      - Enable Spam bypass for specific senders email.

                      - Add senders to whitelist of Exchange using PowerShell.

                      - Add senders to whitelist of GFI.

There are many other PC with other email account don't have this problem, only one boss have it. I've tried to let him using another PC but the problem is still the same.

Someone please help me with this urgent case since it happen for a long time and I still cannot fix.

activesync 2003 vs. resident shield

Hello,

I have a question about Activesync module in Exchange 2003. Which unique part should be excluded from antivirus (resident shield)? We use Eset Mail Server, which blocks Activesync traffic everytime, when resident shield is running.

I have excluded everything according to this topics and a few processes (store, emsmta, mad, inetinfo, w3wp):

But unfortunately, when I turn on resident shield, it simply does not work. :(

Exchange 2013 Transport Alerts

We are rung Exchange 2013 SP11. We have 3 MB servers in a DAG and 3 CAS servers loads balanced for our web services. The CAS are not configured as Edge Servers be cause we have a third party gateway that handles smtp traffic to and from the MB servers. At least once a day we will recieve the following alert. The CAS servers have one nic that is bound to 2 IP addresses one for the web services (OWA) and one for internal traffic. The nic is not configured to register in DNS. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Can clutter be processed *after* rules are processed? It seems to be prioritized over my existing rules.

I like the new Clutter feature. However, I am seeing things in clutter that I would not expect to be there, namely, items that I already have rules for! I would think that clutter would get processedafter all rules are processed, but apparently, it gets processed first. Is there any way to let my rules do their thing, and then let clutter do its thing? Clutter does seem to do a great job of identifying clutter, but if it also grabs things I have rules for--things I need and expect to find in their various folders--this essentially makes Clutter useless and I will have to turn it off and miss out on its benefits.

More Info:

All of my rules are server-side rules.

My Exchange version number is 15.1.466.23...I think that is Exchange 2016? (http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/15776.exchange-server-2013-and-2016-build-numbers-with-cumulative-updates.aspx)

I am using Outlook 2013 and Webmail when away from my desk. Windows 7.

OWA / Outlook / Phone randomly not showing reply icon

Hi all,

Exchange server 2008 R2 - Apologies for that not being in the Forum header, it only went as far back as 2013.

I currently have a user that when he replies to certain emails he doesnt get a reply icon in his inbox, this happens to his profile in Outlook 2011 and 2016. His phone doesnt show a reply and neither does OWA. It does however show in his sent items, just not the reply icon in his inbox.

Has anyone seen this before?

Tried deleting pulling down his profile on all devices but the fact that it happens on OWA makes me think it's Exchange related.

Any help appreciated

Win 10 Pro 14332 and Office 2016 - Outlook Install Issue

Performed a clean install of Win 10 14332 and all is working well with the exception of installing my corporate MS Exchange email via Office 2016.

The issue is when I launch MS Outlook and provide the appropriate credentials (email, password, etc.) I receive the additional MS Security prompting for the corporate MS Exchange email/account (password (email or Domain account). The issue, even though the MS Security box is present I can’t click the field to enter the password and MS Outlook (32) goes into a Not Responding status in task manager – see below.

Never had this issue in the past until this latest build – installed successfully on every prior build. Any advice/direction would be appreciated. Thanks



Sent Items in Outlook 2010 do not show on office.outlook.com

Hi

I use Office 2010 in corporate environment connecting to a Microsoft Exchange Server, also I can access the same accounts from office.outlook.com.

I have two issues I do not have idea how to sort.

I do have a personal e-mail address and I have also access to other shared inbox, under the same account.

When I do send a message from my personal account it appears in the sent item in Office 2010 but they do not show up in the online one.  The same happens when I "send As", it shows in my personal sent folders, but not in the online one.

I am part of a team of three and I am the only one using Office 2010, while the other two use use online version. 

We use those accounts for work and we need to keep the sent items.

How can I have the sent items synchronize between the two?

Is there a way to create a rule or a little script which add the messages I "send As" to the sent folder of the account i "sent As" for?

Word web apps edit mode in Chrome - when navigating away from the page, user is asked for confirmation.

Description:

Hey. I have a page in my Web Application, in which I display OWA iframe with a docx in edit mode. When a user is on this page and has saved all the changes he made to office document, he will still be asked for confirmation when he wants to leave that page. In Firefox (45.0.2) the behavior is correct -> if user has unsaved changes, he is asked for confirmation; if user does not have unsaved changes, he can navigate away without the confirmation.

Product:

51.0.2704.22 beta-m (64-bit) (This is also reproducible in non-beta Chrome releases)

OWA 15.0.4719.1002

Steps to Reproduce the Issue:

1) Visit a simple web page which displays OWA iframe with a docx file in edit mode.

2) When the OWA iframe is fully loaded, attempt to navigate away from the web page (ie. type some other address into url bar).


Expected Results:  Browsers navigates away without displaying confirmation window, because the user does not have unsaved changes.

Actual Results: Chrome displays confirmation to the user: "Do you want to leave this page? Your changes may be lost."

As a request from the security team, I Need to check the following security Settings with Exchange 2013 (CU10):

* remove cipher DES-CBC3-SHA

* remove cipher RC4-SHA

* remove cipher RC4-MD5

* disable SSLv3

* consider enabling TLSv1.2

Is this supported? Are there any howto's available how to do this?

Exchange Server 2016 won't send emails to users on Office 365 (both on the same domain)

We previously used our domain exclusively for email through Office 365 purchased directly through Microsoft. We recently added Exchange Server 2016 to use simultaneously with Office 365. I'm having issues now that I can't send or receive emails from my Exchange account to users on Office 365. I am however, able to send emails to anyone else including tests I did sending to Hotmail.com, me.com, and gmail.com The error I get states

"Delivery has failed to these recipients or groups: <my office 365 user email here> The email address you entered couldn't be found. Please check the recipient's email address and try to resend the message. If the problem continues, please contact your email admin."

Of course I checked that my email is correct. But here is some other info:

Remote Server returned '550 5.1.10 RESOLVER.ADR.RecipientNotFound; Recipient not found by SMTP address lookup'

I tried looking the error up and I've found nothing that's helped. Any suggestions as to what I should do to resolve this apparent SMTP issue?


Outlook 2013 not happy with Exchange 2016 install

I am working with a school district that migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2016. Most Outlook clients are not happy with the changes and it seems the only fix known to work 100% of the time is to upgrade Office on each PC from 2013 to 2016. Curious if there is a patch that could resolve the issue without the need to touch every PC. Something, possible we could push with a GPO??

Here are some details:

Using Outlook 2013, the user either upon login or after being logged in will get the following error:

(The Microsoft Exchange administrator has made changes that requires you quit and restart Outlook)

The error continually pops up, even after an Outlook restart.

 Resolutions we have tried

        Go into user mail profile and delete then re-add a new outlook profile. Works once in a while.

        Try doing a repair on the account which doesn’t really work

        Deleted User profile on pc and in Active Directory along with deleting account on the c drive, does not work

        Made sure all updates have been installed along with installing update KB2625547 which did not work

        Delete mail profile and deleted outlook file in app data and downloading a new file which did not work

        Uninstall Office 2013 and delete mail profile, restart then install Office 2016. Open word to activate, do updates then restart. Open Outlook and go through mail setup. Sometimes will error will pop up in setup, I just hit ok and that’s usually the last time I see after the install. Also in some cases I will also get the following error. I put in the user credentials and check remember credentials. This has worked.

Rename Shared Calendar

I have a user that created a shared calendar within her mailbox in Outlook 2010 and shared it with approximately 30 people.  She recently renamed the calendar, but the name of the calendar has not reflected with those that she shared it with.  Is there an easier way to get that calendar name updated without needing for the other users to delete it and have her re-share it?

Whats the matter with my e-mail?


hotmail accounts couldn't receive automatic reply from outlook exchange

I have set up automatic reply (out of office) on my company email account (see attached snapshots), and assume it would be Exchange Server base. 


We tested, users inside organization could receive auto reply from this setup. For email senders out of the organization, if they are using gmail, yes, they could be able to receive auto reply from the setup. But senders using hotmail failed to receive the auto reply even if test messages did reach this account. I tested it using hotmail accounts of myself, wife and daughter.

Any ideas and suggestion to address this issue?

Can’t send email through connected account (POP) on Outlook Web App OWA

Hi,

I have an issue connecting my email account via the Outlook Web App using POP. I can connect to the my email account via POP on the Outlook Desktop app.
I have used the same settings on both the Web and Desktop App. Double and triple checked that same port numbers have been used but I still can’t send emails via the Outlook Web App with these settings. I can however send email with the Desktop App with the same settings.
I am a little confused on what to do?


This was working but it seems this section has changed in the web app. Earlier I had an option to add only a send account – which I can’t find now.

Exchange 2013 OWA 404 error with Google Chrome

Hello, after Google Chrome update to 49.0.2623.75 version our clients claims that when loggin in to Exchange 2013 OWA they receive a 404 File not found error. I know that Chrome does not support NPAPI plugin anymore. Is or will be there any fixes for that? Any other thoughts?
