Exchange 2010 Email not Archiving

I have a few users whose email's are not archiving. IT policy is set to archive every 1 year. However, we're able to modify this policy in the local mailbox by changing the policy by right clicking on the mailbox or subfoler > Policy and change frequency by the desired time interval. After doing this, the mailbox still is not archiving. Someone please help me in figuring this out. Thanks!

   Since the iphone app for outlook wont let you sync your personal distribution lists with my exchange server I have in my contacts in outlook 2010, what kind of work around, 3rd party software can you recommend....

Mailbox Disconnected After Migration from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013

Hi,

I am running EX2013 SP1 with CU11 , I am facing issue when mailbox move from Ex2010 to Ex2013 , It goes in disconnected state.

I have follow the following article and even restarted IIS services but that didnt help.

We had a certificate expire on exchange (that wasn't being used, or at least not expected to be used for any service) and then ADFS failed with the following ASP error:  (All looking for an Encryption Cert that isn't supposed to be used for ADFS-Exchange)

Microsoft Exchange is not updating local Outlook - Send and Receive issues.

Hi everyone,

Our office has just moved to using Office 365 business edition where we are sending and receiving emails via Microsoft Online Exchange. 

It has been running for 3 days so far and we do love the product however we are having a major issue at the moment and that is our local outlook 2010 and 2013 folders are not constantly synching with the exchange.  We are finding that it can be hours before emails push through to our inbox and we will receive 20 emails all at once.  It is also occuring when we send emails, they will sit in the Outbox and the only way it seems to get them to send or receive is to close Outlook and re-open the program.

We also find that sometimes when we are out of the office and using the 'Outlook Web App' that emails we send to clients via here and not always synching with the local Outlook its a bit of a mess really.  This is not great as we are a legal office and need to attend to emails urgently at times and must have all emails arrive locally.

Can anyone shed some light on how this matter can be fixed urgently?

Outlook 2013 and 2016 fails to send same time every day

I'm having an issue with a client. They are using hosted exchange with Outlook 2013 and 2016.

Every day from 11:30am till noon their Outlook will not send emails. The progress bar just spins on "sending email", but there is no progress.

After Outlook is restarted, it will send perfectly for the rest of the day.

I have checked the following: any anti virus scans, any scheduled tasks such as backups ect. I have also ran a network connection ping to both the exchange server and Google (as a control subject). The connection is not lost when this happens.

The only common task I see running is the MS Office license validation service.

They are running in cached exchange mode. Any ideas?

Creating room mailbox in Office365, unable to sync settings to Outlook client

We are using exchange online and when creating a room mailbox, users are able to share the calendar and access calendar permissions online, but when using the Outlook client, those options are greyed out.  I'm stumped at what is causing the break down in these permissions to not propagate to the client.  We are using Outlook 2016.  I've tested permissions which is not the issue and and created test room mailboxes with the same results.  Any help on what I am missing here.

We are facing a issue when emails are sent from Organization.

When email are composed and sent it will be reside in Draft for 30 seconds and mail delivered.

Same thing is happening in Outlook and OWA.

We are using Exchange Server 2013 CU 10. 3 Mailbox servers in DAG.

We have analyzed Event Logs and Message Tracking logs but there is no traces.

Need yours thought on above issue.

Hello Technet,

I have a local Windows Server 2012 R2 with Exchange 2013 installed, user accounts have been added and is currently being used for local access to a shared calendar and contacts. We also have an addition POP Account on every computer that sends/receives emails through Fatcow (Like GoDaddy). As of right now, each of the user workstations are going out to the Internet (Fatcow) to get emails. The goal is to have only the server go and check each mailbox at Fatcow and download the emails to the local Exchange Server so users on the local network only have to check the local Exchange Server for new emails. This will also allow me to remove the additional POP accounts (after exporting/importing user emails to the local Exchange Server) from each of the user workstations so that the only account that is on their Outlooks are the Exchange Accounts.

I have had a continuing problem with Outlook

This problem has been annoying me for many years and versions of office 2010, 2013, 2016.

 Most emails are disappearing from my inbox.

 I have an exchange account.  I receive emails regularly. The appear in my in box, I read them.  Close Outlook. Reopen latter the majority of my emails have disappeared from my inbox. Some remain, usually ones that are not important.  Sometime colleagues send multiple emails in a day, one email will stay but the rest disappears. There are no conversations set.

 Now the strange parts

  • When I have read the mail and I then move it to a sub folder the email remains in the allocated folder
  • All sent mail is available in Outlook
  • All deleted remain in the deleted folder
  • All the received is available in OWA

 What I have tried

  • Check for any rules and filters – non set
  • Tried upgrading Office
  • Deleted the ost file and download the file again
  • Deleted office and re installed
  • Reformatted the PC and did a clean install of all programmes

 None of these solved the problem

 Can someone come up with a suggestion

Cant connect IMAP from Outlook

Hello,

recently we have upgraded our server from Exchange 2013 CU5 (SP1) to CU12, and we have noticed that our IMAP connectivity from Outlook had been broken. IMAP4 and IMAP4BE services are running, we can telnet each server by 143, 993 and 587 ports, but Outlook keeps asking for password. Everything was working fine before upgrade.

We still can connect by using autodiscovery, but we have some clients that are using IMAP.

After some investigation i've found that some monitors shows up as unhealthy, dont know if its related or no:

EDIT: Thunderbird over SSL/TLS working, I can connect to mailbox. Seems like TLS versions incompatibility?

P.S. I use Outlook 2016.

Room mailbox Calendar issue

in our organization, we have 15 room mailbox like(Room 1,Room 2............Room15).All are working fine with meeting requests being auto-accepted but Auto accepted and declined not working for particular one room mail box. i checked auto accepted option but its enabled

Exchange 2013 Transport Alerts

We are rung Exchange 2013 SP11. We have 3 MB servers in a DAG and 3 CAS servers loads balanced for our web services. The CAS are not configured as Edge Servers be cause we have a third party gateway that handles smtp traffic to and from the MB servers. At least once a day we will recieve the following alert. The CAS servers have one nic that is bound to 2 IP addresses one for the web services (OWA) and one for internal traffic. The nic is not configured to register in DNS. Any assistance is appreciated. Thank you.

Open Exchange 2010 Mailbox using Exchange 2013 OWA

Hello,

I have coexistence scenario with Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013. All mailboxes are in Exchange 2010 servers and only one test mailbox is in Exchange 2013 server.

When I open Exchange 2013 OWA, I can access only to the Exchange 2013 mailbox. If I login with Exchange 2010 credentials in OWA 2013, I get an error like "X-FEServer: casservername".

In both Exchange 2010 and 2013 CAS, the internal and external URL are the same "https://exchange.mydomain.com/owa

There is no errors registered in Eventviewer.

I need to use Exchange 2013 OWA to access all mailboxes before migrating them to new databases, because we are going to change public A DNS to redirect traffic to new Exchange 2013 OWA.

How can I do?

I've have a list of users and need to find out their DL memebership, name of DL where these folks are owners , and name of shared mailboxes on which these folks have access upon  consolidated in list ? Please suggest cmdlet or script for same .

Win 10 Pro 14332 and Office 2016 - Outlook Install Issue

Performed a clean install of Win 10 14332 and all is working well with the exception of installing my corporate MS Exchange email via Office 2016.

The issue is when I launch MS Outlook and provide the appropriate credentials (email, password, etc.) I receive the additional MS Security prompting for the corporate MS Exchange email/account (password (email or Domain account). The issue, even though the MS Security box is present I can’t click the field to enter the password and MS Outlook (32) goes into a Not Responding status in task manager – see below.

Never had this issue in the past until this latest build – installed successfully on every prior build. Any advice/direction would be appreciated. Thanks


intermittent pop preauthentication error

Hi,

We've running exchange 2013, one server keep pop mails to process with different mailboxes accounts and it got intermittent pop connection error as below.

As what I can see here is the previous session not fully closed when new session from same IP starts. Are there any adjustment I can do in exchange settings to avoid such error?

Outlook clients syncing issues from external network

Hello Folks,

We have a exchange server 2013 configured in HA for Client Access Role and Mailbox Role

DAG is configured and NLB is created for Client Access Role 

We have few users on remote site who connects from external network and they are facing issue on their outlook clients 

Issue is email are not syncing properly there is a delay.

Can’t send email through connected account (POP) on Outlook Web App OWA

Hi,

I have an issue connecting my email account via the Outlook Web App using POP. I can connect to the my email account via POP on the Outlook Desktop app.
I have used the same settings on both the Web and Desktop App. Double and triple checked that same port numbers have been used but I still can’t send emails via the Outlook Web App with these settings. I can however send email with the Desktop App with the same settings.
I am a little confused on what to do?


This was working but it seems this section has changed in the web app. Earlier I had an option to add only a send account – which I can’t find now.
