Hi. When i create a quickstep using outlook 2010, the catagorisation and hence its colour bardoesn't appear even though i have set the catagorisation as part of the quickstep. Why is this?

Does anyone know where the addresses in the 'from' button are stored?
We are trying to clean up from an addin that has populated some addresses in the 'from' button drop down - would like to know where they are stored so we can make their removal part of the uninstall of the addin.

GPO to default new Outlook profiles to not cahce but not modify esiting
Hi all,
I need to figure out how to configure the GPO to fully automate set up on a first run of Outlook for 2013 mailboxes.
We used to do this all with scripts, PRFs, and so on, but with Exchange 2013 requiring different authentication, the user needs to do the first run for the credentials to be handed over correctly to Exchange.
This is easy enough, loaded the ADMX files for the flavours of Office we use to GPO repository, configured GPO: User/Admin Templates/Microsoft Outlook 20XX/Account Settings/Exchange - Automatically configure profile back on Active Directory Primary SMTP address.
This achieves automatic Outlook launch on a new profile, instead of the user have to click next 5 times to accept the defaults.
The issue I am having, is that this defaults all new profiles to Cached Mode. I need it to be Online.
The only GPO settings I can find to achieve it this way round, will also modify existing Outlook profiles; which I can't have happening.
I tried Disabling the Cached Exchange Mode (File | Cached Exchange Mode) policy as it's the exact reverse of that which I need to no avail.
Any ideas if I've missed something vital somewhere?

Shared exchange 2013 mailbox having synch issues using Outlook 2010 client
Hello:
I have a shared mailbox setup months for 3 users using Outlook 2010 in cached mode. All have full rights to the shared mailbox. This was setup months ago without issue. Yesterday something occurred that has caused the Outlook clients to have synch issues with the shared mailbox. For example:
One of the users deleted 200 emails from the shared mailbox. The other users see the mail message from their client. I added one of the user's mail profile to another machine to see if the message that were deleted would be downloaded locally. They were.
Quick click categories that are added to specific messages are not retained. They are there for a minute or so and then they disappear.
Flags that are added to specific messages are not retained. They also are there for a minute or minute or so and then they also disappear.
Messages that sent from the shared mail address are not retained in any Sent Folder. They are however routed out.
The client will sometimes display a message that states This item was not completely updated during the last server synchronization. Click here to review other versions.
There is a link to View local failures and it is there that you see the changes that were made to the Quick clicks and flags.
All was working 48 hours ago.

MS Exchange 2013 OWA new mail notifications for shared mailbox
Hello,
I have a question regarding Microsoft Exchange 2013 Web App shared mailboxes.
We have some users that use shared mailboxes. The problem is they do not receive notification about new emails from the shared mailbox. To check if the new email has been received, the user needs to open the shared mailbox, or refresh the whole page.
Is it possible to setup MS Exchange so that users receive new mail notifications (e.g., like it is done in the “favorites” and personal mailbox groups – the number of unread emails is shown next to the folder name) for the shared mailboxes in the web version of the outlook?
We use Microsoft Exchange 2013 CU10.

IMAP Proxy shutting down

Unable to delete email in OWA when proxying through Exchange 2013 to Exchange 2010
Hello, while proxying from 2013 down to a 2010 mailbox in OWA, when a user tries to delete a message in OWA from the message list, they’re getting an “Access denied” message:
The problem does not occur when accessing OWA internally, going straight to the 2010 CAS Servers, only when going through the 2013 CAS Servers.

Issue with sending emails in Outlook.

I have issue with the customer basically with sending emails in Outlook client.
There are four exchange mailboxes added in Outlook.
All accounts working perfectly fine. But after few days two accounts for some unknown reasons stop functioning correctly by saving all sent emails to primary account.
Every single time I need to recreate the outlook profile and is working but again only for few days.
I have revised all permissions on the sever and everything looks correct but the issue keeps reoccurring.

Hide sender for recipients
Hello,
i maybe be asking the obvious here as i have been stuck on this simple thing,
I have one e-mail adress which is being used to send some some reports monthly,
but i wish the sender to be hidden for recipients so they do not see the e-mailadres it came from
I'm not sure if Hide from adressbook (hide from exchange) is the option here, not that it will have much impact,
running on exchange 2010 (no 2013 but i could no pick that from the list)
I'm using a regular e-mail adres not a distribution list.
in sort:
e-mailadres sends to few recipients but e-mailadres must remain invisible for recipients.

POP3 ERROR FAILURE
Hi guys,
I have exchange server and the some mailbox are enabled pop. Application from customer don't support TLS and we have something like proxy service. User yesterday cannot connect to that "proxy" and get email from that proxy. Whan I try login over telnet i get error "-ERR Logon Failure"
Do you have solution?

Default reminder still set when meeting has NONE set to reminder time
When reciever of meeting request has switched off the default reminder it will get the reminder time set by the sender. When it's set to 1 hours it is set to 1 hour. When set to 30 minutes it is set to 30 minutes.
When sender sets it to NONE. It will be set to the number that is shown in greyed out.
So when reciever sets default reminder to 1 hour and then disables it. Meetings with reminder set to none will be set to 1 hour.

Encrypt Data Between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange
I am using Outlook 2010. I went into Account Settings > Change > More Settings > Security, and there is an "Encrypt Data Between Microsoft Outlook and Microsoft Exchange" checkbox. I am wondering what encryption level is used (# of bits), the encryption protocol, and what that covers? For example, does that apply to just the communications between the client and the server when establishing and maintaining the connection, or does it apply to emails sent, even if they are marked as unencrypted in the client?

404 file or directory not found by EDGE browser on Windows 10
Hi all,
We got a problem when login to OWA (exchange 2013) using EDGE browser on Windows 10. A error message returned "404 - File or Directory not found". Does anyone have such problem? any suggestion?
On the same PC with IE 11, has no problem, runs smoothly to OWA.

MAPI over HTTP - Authn Error
After enabling MAPI over HTTP when I check the connection status I get this error:
My company has a proxy server and if I disable it on IE then everything works fine. What can kind of troubleshooting can I perform? Or any exclusions to add to the connection?

outlook client cert popup
Hello,
My org is coexisting 2007 and 2013, one ipless dag, 3 dag nodes, getting ready to cutover to exchange 2013 front end (so not coexisting officially yet).
I obtained external cert legacy, webmail, and autodiscover. All exchange 2013 virtual dirs internal and external have the same URL.
My problem is free/busy related. If I change 2013 EWS to cert URL, free busy breaks I cannot see any calendar information within 2013 or across to 2007 client and back. If I change the internal EWS URL back to the fqdn server name (internal dns domain is different from external) I get cert popups on the 2013 clients, but all free/busy info 2013 and between 13 and 07 works.
Can someone help I've tried quite a few changes nothing works.

Since updating iPhone to ios9, calendar no longer shows any events in owa
This is reproducible on any ios9 device in our Exchange 2013 organization. If a user opens the safari browser to our OWA page in order to view shared calendars, the calendars have no items on them.
We've cleared the safari cookies and history data and tried again, but no dice.
We do use Maas360 MDM and the native IOS applications, however the OWA website is the only way we have figured out to date how to view other people's calendars that are shared with you. We do know there is an OWA ios app, but it does not work with DUO multi factor authentication, so we just had the users use the built in iPhone browser.
Will this html code be fixed in a future exchange update to be standards compliant, or is the issue with the iPhone safari browser? I will cross post to apple discussion forums as well to get both perspectives.
