Hi,

I have very strange error on my Exchange Org - we created some users and create mailboxes for them but randomly when some users log in to their mailboxes (using OWA or Outlook) they are not able to do.

They got an error from OWA telling Something wrong :(

There no common factor between them (different OUs, different Mailboxes DBs, different date of creation)

i tried the common troubleshooting steps

also i created new DBs also i got the same issue

Can any one help me

How to Share Master Category List - Shared Calendar

$

I've read several threads in the Microsoft Community that ask a similar question, but none provided a solution. I'm hoping someone out there can offer resolution that doesn't require:

a) purchase of a separate non-Microsoft add-in
b) manual entry of the categories on every profile accessing the calendar

The problem is this: I created a shared calendar with a very extensive master list of color-coded categories. I shared this calendar. When the two Reviewers open the calendar (they are set to Reviewers and already have "Full Details" available) the calendar they are viewing has the details of events, but none of them are color-coded/categorized the way they appear on the calendar I own.

I've already tried updating the data file to update the color categories on all the machines, including my own. All this did was create overlap in the color categories already situated on the main calendar I own. For example, instead of having just the category I designated to the event, it now had my custom category/color plus things like "Birthday," "Personal," or "Business" that shared the same color. I spent hours going through and fixing the horrendous mess this supposed fix created.

This calendar is meant to be shared with everyone at a company. Dozens of people will have access, so updating each profile with the color-coded master category list manually is not an option.

For reference, every profile attempting to access the shared calendar and its color-coded events is using Microsoft Office 2010. I'd greatly appreciate any guidance anyone can offer on how to get everyone the calendar is shared with using the same Master Category list I have set up.

Exchange 2013: Some users getting randomly sent back to sign in screen

We are having some of our users tell us that they are at random intervals getting kicked out of Exchange 2013 OWA.  It is on various browsers both on our network on off-site. We have 2 CAS/DB servers and 2 DNS A records pointing (one pointing to each) for failover purposes.  Ex. outlook.domain.com > 192.168.1.1 (server 1) and outlook.domain.com > 192.168.1.2 (server 2).  I am told the DNS entry should work and is normally the way to do failover.  Although, I read another post that said it may cause the issue we are having. We recently migrated from Exchange 2007.  And there just isn't much out there saying a lot about the issues we are having that I can find. Aside from all that...  We are having random users dropped in OWA at random times, on random machines, using random browsers, and at random locations.  Any help pointing us in the right direction would be greatly appreciated.

Everyone that is connected to this exchange environment is receiving an error when they attempting to share a calendar in Outlook 2010.  We are using Exchange 2010 and Outlook 2010.  The error reads:  Error while preparing to send sharing message.

It works perfectly in the OWA when trying to share a calendar,

Any ideas on a reason why this would be happening?

I recently deployed a new Exchange Server 2013 Standard environment. All has been smooth for about 6 months and all of the sudden, I can't access ECP or OWA. First thing I check is the Forms Based Authentication Service, but it's gone. No idea where it went, or how to get it back. I haven't found a post on the same issue?

Anyone no how to repair this issue?

Thanks!

Opening Outlook for other accounts with the Administrator account

Hello,

I've set up the admin account with access to other mailboxes in exchange using the command -

Get-MailboxDatabase -identity “companypriv” | Add-ADPermission -user administrator -AccessRights GenericAll

I can open their mailbox as an additional mailbox in my administrator account in outlook, but I'd like to have an individual outlook profile set up for each of them opened with the administrator account credentials.   I get he profile set up but when you try to open their account it pops up asking for credentials and I put in the administrator credentials and it immediately asks for credentials again - never actually opening the mailbox.    Nothing in the event viewer on the workstation with outlook on it.

however I think the 4625 event I get on the exchange server is related.

I can login if I use their credentials but it would be much easier if I just opened all with the admin account credentials.

Outlook drag and drop with public folders.

Hello,

I've had a couple users point out since our migration from exchange 2010 to 2013 public folders that the drag and drop between the folders has changed.

Exchange 2010:

left click - drag and drop from mailbox to public folder = move mail.
left click - drag and drop from public folder to mailbox = copy mail.
left click drag and drop from PF to PF = copy mail.

Exchange 2013:

left click - drag and drop from mailbox to public folder = move mail.
left click - drag and drop from public folder to mailbox = move mail.
left click drag and drop from PF to PF = move mail.

Does anyone know of a way to change behavior on drag and drop back to copy as the default?

Thanks

Sorry, I forgot to mention that I've tried this with both Outlook 07 and 13.

Outlook 2013 not showing all messages that are on the server

After upgrading from Outlook 2007 to 2013, my mail folders do not show all messages. Instead, I have to click a link that states "click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" to see older messages that are in these folders. How can I disable this? We are not using Exchange 2013. I believe it is Exchange 2010.

Our company recently upgraded from Outlook 2010 to Outlook 2013.  As a result, I now have an issue with printing my calendar.  When I select print preview for the calendar, the 30 minute minutes/appointments appear as 60 minutes.  However it is color highlighted on the left for the 30 minute period.  The same issue exists when the calendar is printed.  The calendar is displayed correctly except for print preview or printing.

OWA (Exchange 2013) with ADFS

Hi,

I've been trying to connect between our OWA (Exchange 2013) to our ADFS server according to this guide - https://eu.netdocuments.com/neWeb2/docCent.aspx?whr=CA-ISRRR0MN

I've reached one of the last steps (enable ADFS authentication on the OWA and ECP) but I got an error now - when trying to run the command

Get-EcpVirtualDirectory | Set-EcpVirtualDirectory -AdfsAuthentication $true -BasicAuthentication $false -DigestAuthentication $false -FormsAuthentication $false -LiveIdAuthentication $false -WindowsAuthentication $false

I get an error - a parameter cannot be found that matches parameter name "LiveIdAuthentication".

Any thoughts?

If I just remove the "LiveIdAuthentication" parameter from the command it works ok, but then I move forward to OWA configuration (same command but without the "LiveIdAuthentication" parameter). Then I get and error regarding "ADFSAuthentication"...

Thanks for helping...

The Certificate couldn't be validated because SSL negotiation wasn't successful.

Hello All.

I am all of a sudden experiencing an issue with Outlook 2013 being unable to connect to Exchange Server 2013 via IMAP.

The laptop is running Windows 7 Home and as such is not a domain member hence the need for IMAP.

From the Outlook side when setting up the account, it only says "A secure connection to the server cannot be established." on the incoming mail server, but the outgoing checks out OK.

I checked and re-checked all the settings several times on the server. Blogs and forums mostly cover Lync issues with other errors including this one, but nothing with the exact same description.

The setup is "Exchange Server 2013 on a Windows Server 2012 Standard" SSL 993, TLS 587.

OWA and everything else is functioning properly.

Hopes this helps.

Hoping to hear from you soon.

Thank you in advance.

Hentie Loots
