Exchange 2013 Outlookanywhere proxy showing internal servername

$

Dear All,

I am testing Exchange server migration from 2010 to 2013. Exchange 2010 version is sp3 and 2013 is cu1.

The systems were installed and users re able to send and receive mail from both servers.

I tested Outlook anywhere with users from exchange 2010 and 2013, both users are able to connect. When  I checked the outlook anywhere proxy setting of exchage 2013 user, it showing the internal server name of exchange 2013. But for 2010 users, it showing OA external name only.

I changed the external and internal name of outlook anywhere to mail.<domainname>

Also for exchange 2013 internal users, it showing the OA external name.

Is it normal, or any configuration mistake.

regards,

sarma

I currently manage a Exchange Server 2013 CU5 hosted on windows server 2012 R2. When i review the server health there are several health sets listed as unhealthy. These include ECP, AD, Compliance, UM.Protocol, FEP, Data Protection,  and OutlookMapiHttp. When i attempt to Invoke the probe in EMS i receive the error "Warning: Could not find assembly or object type associated with Monitor identity. Please ensure that the given monitor identity exists on the server"

Outlook and OWA do not track meeting responses if the meeting time is changed - using Exchange

When you create a meeting in Outlook, you can open the meeting, go to Tracking and see who has responded.

This works fine initially, but if you change the time of the meeting, the tracking of responses no longer works. Even though people have responded to the new time, it just shows 'none' under the Response column when you go to Tracking.

Request responses is checked under Response Options.

Also, in File - Option - Mail- Tracking, the "automatically process meeting requests and responses to meeting requests and polls" is selected, as is "auto update original sent item with receipt information"

This has been reproduced on different computers and happens in OWA also.

Anyone have any suggestions on how to fix this.

"Microsoft.Exchange.WebServices.Data.ServiceResponseException" when attempting to use (contact.update).

Hello WebDevs

i have some code which updates contact items within a specific mailbox. i use EWS to execute the request which sends multiple updates through a threadpool.

the method uses (contact.save) when adding a new record to the mailbox and does not seem to have a problem. The problem only occurs when trying to update a record.

The code simply is

contact = Contact.Bind(_exchangeService, new ItemId(sUniqueID));
contact.Update(ConflictResolutionMode.AlwaysOverwrite);

all the variables required are present whent he code runs.

The stack Trace is:

OUTLOOK 2013 Keeps asking for password

Hi,

I am having 2 users with the same issue who both used laptops with Windows 8 64 bit. When they tried to enter password, it keeps prompting them, even though the password was absolutely correct. We tried..

1.  changing password.

2. to recreate profile.

3. reinstall MS Outlook 2013.

4. Check the internet connections(Users are still able to receive and send emails).

All seems to be in vain. The prompt still pops up.

The only "Work around" is to leave the password dialog box open and slide it down to the very bottom of the taskbar where it is not visible (mostly). User can still send or receive emails. However, it doesn't reflect us good professionally.

I have notice some professionals experiencing the same thing I do as well over here >http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2013_release-outlook/outlook-2013-keeps-asking-for-password/76232002-ef1d-45e0-ada9-6b47f217a7cf?page=5&rtAction=1414140249250

Please advise.

Thank you.

Josh.

Hey everyone, I'm hoping you can help me out.

I just migrated from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2010.

I am ware of the issue with members of protected groups not being able to activesync, and the workaround.

The problem is - ALL of my users are showing up as protected!

When I do some digging, I see that "Domain Users" is listed as a protected group. That explains it.

How - how come it is a protected group? Thats where I need help.

Its group membership is as follows:

It is a member of:
Users (Builtin)

and some XenApp user groups.

Its membership includes all of my users.

Thoughts?

MAC Office 2011 continues to disconnect from Exchange server.

Just install / deploy a new iMAC running OSx 10.9.5 and MAC Office / Outlook 14.4.5 (141003).  After a period of idle time the Outlook client indicates "not connected to <exchange server>".  Have to exit and re-open / relaunch Outlook client in order to get the client to update / sync.   Tried recreating account / profile -- doesn't resolve issue.

OWA works fine / smartphone works fine too;

Windows PC running Windows 7 and Office 2013 works fine too.

Please Help.

Thank you,

Bill

OWA still lands at Exchange 2010 for users migrated from Exchange 2010 to 2013

I never had any issues with OWA redirection for a few users that I migrated from Exchange 2010-2013 initially. For users that I am migrating in the past few days, the OWA 2013 is landing on Exchange 2010 despite the mailbox being successfully migrated to Exchange 2013.

Troubleshooting:

1. I have restarted the IIS Services

2. I have restarted MSExchangeOWAAppPool.

3. I have also checked the homeMDB attribute of the 2013 migrated user with the Exchange 2013 database.

I would really appreciate if anyone could share their experiences on similar issues.

OutlookAnywhere - MAPI Mail Store endpoint - attemped to ping failed

$

Hi,

I have a DC (Server 2012 R2) setup, with RDS and EXCHANGE (with MS Exchange 2013 SP1) as virtual servers.

RDS is facing the internet (mail.domain.com @ Port 443), and is using ARR with URL Rewrite for OWA, EWS, Autodiscover, ActiveSync and ECP, rewriting all requests to EXCHANGE.

When I run tests on https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com for Outlook connectivity, it fails saying:

---------

Attempting to ping the MAPI Mail Store endpoint with identity: 86b551b0-c6d5-4ec4-8f1b-66e01b29beeb@domain.com:6001.
The attempt to ping the endpoint failed.
Tell me more about this issue and how to resolve it

      Additional Details

The RPC_S_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE error (0x6ba) was thrown by the RPC Runtime process.
Elapsed Time: 3310 ms.

------

Telnet from DC or RDS into EXCHANGE on port 6001 works fine.

However, I am concerned that there may be two things preventing this from working:

1) 86b551b0-c6d5-4ec4-8f1b-66e01b29beeb@domain.com:6001 <-- shouldn't this be trying to connect to mail.domain.com:6001 and not domain.com?

2) Even if there is nothing wrong with the above, I would assume it is using RDS's standard 443 port, and trying to ping 6001 on RDS itself, since as far as I know, URL Rewrite has no rules to forward port requests on to exchange.

Am I right in my assumptions?

Send as external domain?

Hi all,

How do I configure Exchange to be able to send as an external domain? I have a closed relay which requires authentication, which works on the user's mailbox but not on external domains we don't own.

There's one email I need to be able to send as, or "on behalf of". When I go to send an email I get this error through Outlook:

"Error 550 5.7.1 Client does not have permissions..."

Under Mailbox delegation I can add recipients but obviously a mailbox not on this server will not show. I added a "Contact" but this didn't show either.

Any ideas?

Thanks

Delgate not able to meetings to calendar (2010 Outlook)

As a Delegate, why can't I add an appointment/meeting to his calendar?

I was added as a delegate to manage his calendar.  It will not allow me to click on the time and add a meeting.  It sends him a meeting request (the point to make me a delegate was to avoid all those emails).

It also won't let me see his agenda (it shows busy).

Can someone please tell me how to fix this problem? I need it fixed ASAP as I need to enter an entire year of agenda.

outlook contact cannot display correctly from outside

Hi,

After migrate our exchange server from 2007 to 2013, the "contact" address display name cannot show correctly. They will show the original sender config display name such as their own format [Firstname, Lastname]. If the address already in contact list, we will expert it show more detail such as company name, department name in email address display name such as [First Last companyname]. Which is our Exchange 2007 server doing before.

Any idea to fix it?

Thanks,

Edmond

HTML Form Not Displaying Correctly in Outlook 2010 (Exchange 2013)

$

Hello,

I have recently migrated to Exchange 2013. Clients are still using Outlook 2010. There is an application that automatically sends an HTML form by email for the users to fill in. The form consists of radio buttons, text areas and drop down list. However, in Outlook 2010, the form is not rendered properly.

When I clicked the "If there are problems with how this message is displayed, click here to view it in a web browser" link, the email is opened in IE and the form is displayed correctly.

I also tried opening the same email in other clients, such as Thunderbird, Apple Mail Client and in mobile phones - the form is displayed correctly. I wonder why it fails to do so in Outlook 2010. The user mentioned that this does not happen in Outlook 2003 and prior to migration (I used Exchange 2010 previously). I have also tried using OWA, but the form does not display correctly

Any help?

Note: I can't attach any images or links as it is mentioned that my account is not verified yet. I will post some screenshots when it is possible to do so

Outlook Connectivity / Exchange 2010 Coexistence Scenarios

$

Hello,

I recently migrated to Exchange 2013, autodiscover.domain.com and mail.domain.com are pointing to CAS 2013 for external and internal access. For EX013 users, Outlook establishes connection with both CAS 2010 and CAS 2013 which is fine. For EX2010 users, Outlook establishes the connection only with CAS 2010 for both internal and external access. My understanding is that CAS 2013 should proxy the connection to CAS 2010, but it doesn't and also after the migration I have to remove and add the profile again for the changes to take effect for the migrated users. I haven't changed the namespaces, its the same. Any suggestions would be much appreciated.
