Problem with automatic reply (Out of Office) which doesn't recognize outside address

Hi everyone,

I have a problem with my Exchange 2013 server and automatic replies.

I explain :

The OoO send everytime the inside automatic replies.

When I send an email from my personal email address (outside org), I received the internal reply. It's the same behaviour when it was a client.

Does someone already has this problem and know the solution ?

It is an Exchange 2013 Sp1 server. No cluster, no load balancing, only one mail server.

Thanks for your help

Delegate Question in Outlook 2010

$

Hello,

I have a question regarding delegation within Outlook 2010. Here is my example of what is going on.

User A is a delegate of User B.

User A sends meeting invite to User C on behalf of User B.

User C replies to message with email response instead of accepting meeting (User B name in "to" field automatically)

User B receives email reply instead of User A.

Basically we have a user in our organization that keeps receiving a response to a meeting invite who has a delegate that handles her meetings. If the user who received the meeting invite has a question such as "where is her office located" that email doesn't go to the delegate, it goes to the person who it was sent on behalf of.

Is there any way around this or is this just the way it works? The user claims it has just started happening the past few months, but I ran a test here at my office with three users in the same situation as above and it worked exactly like listed in my first scenario to where the meeting it was sent on behalf of received a reply from the invitee. However to add to the confusion, the delegate that takes care of her meetings also supports other people, and she says she does not get these replies from users like she does for this particular user she supports.

I believe we are on Exchange 2007 and are in process of migrating to Exchange 2013.

Thanks in advance for the assistance,

TB

The attempt to ping the MAPI Mail Store endpoint endpoint failed

$

Hi,

We have just moved from Exchange 2010 to 2013 (completely new organisation/ad, there were lots of problems with the old one). All roles are performed by a single server (budgets). Everything went perfectly however Outlook cannot connect, creating a new profile finds the settings via Autodiscover (via 3rd party cert) but then the following error occurs:

(There were images before, but apparently I am not allowed to post any images so apologies for the typing out)

The action could not be completed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action.

The check name doesn't work and the account cannot be created (and from what I have read Exchange 2013 doesn't support non-autoconfigure connections anymore).

Before I enabled Outlook anywhere any Outlook connections would just constantly ask for credentials, however I can't go back now it seems. Does Exchange 2013 only support RPC via HTTP connections for Outlook? That is something new if true.

Then I checked https://testconnectivity.microsoft.com/ and the following is displayed:

Attempting to ping the MAPI Mail Store enpoint with identity xxxxxxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxx-xxxxxxxxxxxxx@domain.com:6000

The attempt to ping the endpoint failed

The RPC_S_SERVER_UNAVAILABLE error (0x6ba) was thrown by the RPC Runtime process.

Cue some intensive Googling (sorry Binging?) and several suggestions were found to resolve the issue from various threads here and blog posts:

  • Add IP  SERVER to the hosts and lmhosts.sam files
  • Disable IPv6
  • edit HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\Microsoft\Rpc\RpcProxy\ValidPorts to everything I could think of:
  • NETBOIS:593;NETBOIS:49152-65535;FQDN:49152-65535;localhost:49152-65535;Outlook anywhere FQDN:49152-65535;
  • Telnet into port 6001, 6002 and 6004 from the server. This throws an interesting result:
  • Port 6001: ncacn_http/1.0 (which seems fine)
  • Port 6002: can't connect
  • Port 6004: can't connect

This looks to be my issue, but I can't see why it's not connecting and I don't know how to check any further. The other thing is the Remote Connection Analyser is looking for port 6001 and it can't connect.

Any help is much appreciated, I think I have tried everything I can think of and have reached the end of my intelligence.

XLSM files blocked through OWA even though allowed in virtual directory setting

I checked the virtual directory settings through powershell and xlsm files are in the allowed file types list.  We don't do the public/private setting so everyone connects through the public option.  I've tried adding the OWA URL to intranet and trusted websites.

The xlsm attachment icon is greyed out and I get the "Access to this attachment is blocked" message when clicking on the icon. What am I missing?

Outlook Quick Step order of execution is broken

$

I have implemented Getting Things Done using Outlook at work and it's been working wonderfully for me. I'm currently on Office 2010.

I have Quick Steps configured that do the following:

1. Categorize the message

2. Create Task with message as attachment

3. Delete the message

The result of this was a new task that was already categorized exactly as I want it.

However, all of a sudden, the Quick Step has decided to start executing these three commands in a different order. First it creates the Task (without a category) and then deletes/categorizes the message. The deleted message is categorized appropriately. No matter whether I use the shortcut keys or click the Quick Step button, this incorrect order of execution is occurring. I have restarted Outlook and even deleted/re-created new rules, but the same issue is occurring.

This is driving me crazy. It is clearly some type of bug deep in the code. If anyone can track this down or has any pointers, that would be great!

Outlook 2013: Accessing Exchange with Outlook 2013 and OST on mulitple machines?

My organization recently transitioned to off-site Exchange servers.  Users were upgraded to Office 365 / Outlook 2013 using OST files (PST files previously

In addition to my work laptop, I have Outlook 2013 available on a personal Surface Pro 3.  I cannot find a definitive answer on whether it will be a problem to connect to Exchange via Outlook 2013 using an OST files from both the work laptop and personal tablet.  Will having OST files on separate machines create sync issues?  I have access to Outlook Web Access on the Surface, but prefer the Outlook desktop application for quick actions and other tools.

Outlook 2013 Converstation preview does not show my last reply.

Hello,

When I reply to a message from my Inbox, I don't get to see my message unless I go to sent items and check what I just sent there. Is there a way to make it appear at the Conversation preview in my Inbox? I know that it is possible since I've seen it on other outlooks.

Using Kerio-connect email account and e-mail server is using Kerio also.

Windows-7 64 bit OS and Outlook is 2013 version.

Best regards,

Aleksey.

Hello all,

I'm new to the industry so I apologize in advance if I am missing something obvious. I was assisting with a client's transition to 365 and could not get their existing public calendars to be visible on the client machines. It is only visible for the Outlook users with full admin access. Outlook does not display any options in the Other Calendars section. I appreciate the assistance!

SMIME lookup failing on Exchange 2013

$

Hello all,

I've been at this for a week and still cannot figure out what the cause of the issue might be.  I'm trying to setup SMIME encrypting and signature capabilities for an Exchange environment.  The UserCertificate Attribute is populating in ActiveDirectory for the users.  I have an online Root CA that does not issues anything but the Subordinate CA cert.  I then have a Subordinate CA that issues all client certificates.  The CRLs and AIA locations are functioning and downloadable.

When I try to send an encrypted message in OWA, all I receive is the message "An error occurred while encrypting this S/MIME message.  Certificates can't be found for any recipients."  Not sure what else do verify.  I believe I've configured the SMIMEConfig correctly in Exchange as well.  Based on this....http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn626155(v=exchg.150).aspx

Thanks for any help

CRM for Outlook 2013 is crashing. Update Rollup 17

A few of our Outlook 2013 are crashing with the Dynamics CRM plugin installed.

We have Office 2013, 32 bit install on a 64bit/32bit version of windows. Windows 7 and Windows 8.

Currently have the update Rollup 17 installed.

I have on my machine, uninstalled it, removed all the folders and registry entries and then re-installed the plugin. This has not helped.

It crashes very frequently so much that we need to disable the plugin so that Outlook keeps working.

There are others using the same setup in the office, but it's not effecting all of us. About 3-4 people are being effected by this, and the rest 20 others are not having any problems.

Any ideas?

Hello,

User has enabled POP3 mailbox.

Firewall allows traffic between Cas server and Mailbox server.
Exchange is published by Kemp. All real servers, certificates are added.

Met up with this version of this error? The net information regarding 2010 and adding an entry to the configuration file pop3, but in 2013 the ex has this entry.

Please help.

"Your meeting was found to be out of date and has been automatically updated."

Hello, one of our users is stating that when they make changes to meeting dates and/or times, a few minutes to a day later, the changes revert to the original date and/or time. Additionally, they will occasional also receive an email stating "Your meeting was found to be out of date and has been automatically updated."

This customer is on a Win7 client and running Outlook 2007. Both the OS and Office/Outlook are completely patched as of 08/12/2014. There are also a couple of iOS devices that access the Exchange account and both are running the latest version of iOS according to the customer.

The customer states that this behavior began immediately following our migration from Exchange 2007 to 2013 a couple of months back. I am not able to see any reason for this at the server level. We also do not currently have any other users complaining of the same issue. I am unable to replicate the issue using my account. I suspect that it is isolated to this single user at this point.

We are running Exchange v15, build 847.32.

Has anyone experienced the same? Thanks in advance for any input.

I have a strange issue with an email address changing when replying to emails in a conversation from a specific person,

for example the user is joe.bloggs@domain.com we have a number of emails in a conversation,

If I reply to one of the emails in the middle of the conversation the email address changes to joe.blogzs@domin.com and I get an NDR.

I cant think of what would cause an address to change on a reply can anyone else?

this only affects email to joe bloggs
