Outlook 2010 and Outlook 2007 change the default addressbook from Global Address List to All Contacts
Previous calendar entries cannot be edited in Outlook 2010.
When you try to edit previous calendar entries you get the following error message:
This meeting was copied to your calendar and will not receive updates. Contact your Organizer, <user>, and user us set to be the organiser.
Recreating the calendar items is not an option.
1. A full backup of the Calendar was made before we had this issue.
2. When then re-imported this Calendar.pst to replace duplicates and try to resolve this.
3. We reloaded the Mail Profile.
4. Re-imported his calendar using CSV format, yet the problem still persists.
Any ideas on how to fix this urgently as the user is the Operational Director?
The user also have a Blackberry and I-Pad syncing to Exchange 2010 and a PA handling all the appointments in his Calendar..
Problems connecting OL 2013 to Exchange 2013
I am trying to connect OL2013 to Exchange 2013. however I am having problems to connect. When I try to
If I set up the profile manually I get the following error when opening outlook :
· "cannot start microsoft outlook. cannot open the outlook window. the set of folders cannot be opened. you must connect to microsoft exchange with the current profile before you can synchronise your folders with outlook data file (.ost)"
If I allow it to set it up by specifying the email (not selecting to setup the profile manually) I get
· "cannot start microsoft outlook. cannot open the outlook window. the set of folders cannot be opened. microsoft exchange is not available. either there are network problems or the exchange server is down for maintenance."
I have not managed to find any helpful info on how to solve this. Does anybody have any idea how to fix it?

How do I remove these green squares from the calendar?
Hello all,
A user on our network is currently seeing blank green boxes on a shared calendar that can not be deleted or modified. This user is the only one affected by this issue on the network. The calendar is being shared using an Exchange server account and it is on a private domain. The boxes only appear when the calendar is in the month view.
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Many thanks in advance,
Andrew
Setting an OOF using Outlook 2010 for a Shared Mailbox
Hello
We are using Exchange 2007 SP3 and Windows 7 with Outlook 2010.
Myself and my colleague from time to time need to set and out of office message for an exec or someone who is on extended leave.
We can achieve this using Outlook 2003 without a problem, but for Outlook 2010, when we click on Automatic Replies, we receive the error
"Your automatic reply settings cannot be displayed because the server is currently unavailable. Try Again later"
From what I can tell, its that because I am logged in using my System Admin account (which has no mailbox), accessing another users mailbox, that Outlook cannot connect or authenticate to EWS to set the OOF.
We have no issues with users setting their own OOF messages.
Thanks.
Exchange 2007 Can't connect to mailbox
I have granted rights to other to connect from other workstation via OWA and they keep gettilng "You do not have permission to open this mailbox. For access or for more information, contact technical support for your organization."
When I attempt to connect via Outlook 2010 I get "Cannot open your default e-mial folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folder with your Outlook data file."
I can ping the Exchange servers and I'm logged in to the exchange via remote desktop so I can get to the exchange system.
I have tried to disconnect my mailbox from my current log in account and set up a second account. Reconnect my mailbox to that account and still no luck.
Login to outlook.com --> Redirect to microsoftonline (Error no account)
When i want to login to outlook.com, i become the following error: This account does not have an Outlook Web App mailbox.
I have only a outlook.com (former hotmail) Account and no Outlook Web App (outlookonline.com).
Please help.
Exchange 2010 - Problem Printing Calendar in OWA
If a user doesn't have Full Permissions on a Exchange 2010 mailbox, the user can't print the OWA calendar.
When I select the printer object, the error on the IE page is "The item you tried to access no longer exists. The item wasn't found. You or a delegate might have moved or deleted it using another computer or mobile phone."
Loading... just keeps running.
Any suggestions?
Thanks
Ron
OWA 2013 - Sending SMS
Hi,
I am testing out exchange 2013 and I cannot send SMS text messages from OWA, is this supported or not?
Out SMS setup is working as it does in Exchange 2010 - so we can send SMS from Outlook 2010 ok, via Exchange 2013.
regards, Tarkan
Latest skinny on saving customized calendar views?
I see a lot of sad-people threads here! People wanting to set their Outlook 2010 calendars to display certain calendars (like personal and shared or a personal calendar) and having the setting stick between application close/relaunches.
I have a client who is experiencing a similar issue. She wants two calendars to remain selected between close/relaunch. Does not happen.
It stopped working.
I can't fix it. :-(
Anything I can do?
Outlook 2010 Contacts birthday/anniversary dates are exactly one day late
Instant Search doesn't work after profile rebuild
Hi all,
We recently rebuilt our user profiles and now Outlook's instant search doesn't work. We can see and access all our old e-mails in the inbox, but the search bar only returns results dated after the profile rebuild.
Any ideas how to fix this?
Thank you,

2013 - Theme for password change dialog
Hi,
is there any reason why the design / theme changes when i activate "change password on first logon" for a mailbox and the user tries to logon to OWA ?
I mean, by default the user sees a window in the theming of OWA 2010 and not OWA 2013 (old yellow login box instead of new blue one). I've noticed that the copyright information in this old styled window is changed to 2012, so i'm guessing, that the files were touched/changed for Exchange 2013, but i don't understand the break in design.. seems a little off.
Kind regards,
Peter
Blank EAC after credential input
folders in mailbox disappearing
hi all, this is rather odd and I cannot pin point where the issue is, e.g. outlook or exchange or both.
a number of users have folder in their mailbox that is accessible by other users in the company. for example user1 has a folder called shared in his mailbox, user B has read access to the shared folder.
User 1 drops emails into the shared folder and user B can then pick up the emails and do whatever is necessary with the email.
However . . . . the problem is, for some reason the folders like above (for a number of users and folder) quite often disappear from so the user with read access to the folder cannot see the folder.
The only solution is to re apply full access mailbox permissions from EMC. The folder then re appears in the folder view for the affected users.
Is there anything I can do? I don't know what to check, what to google etc.
Thanks

Unable to send Calendar invites
We recently underwent a domain change
Since then I have a user who, when she tries to share her calendar in Outlook 2007, the To: field is greyed out. If she tries to add users from the GAL or her contacts, it generates the "Calendar Sharing is not available with the following entries because of permission settings on your network"
When prompted she is able to email her calendar fine. Autocomplete on her email also works fine
It must be a setting or something on the local machine because if she sets up outlook on another machine, everything works fine and she can successfully send invites to others.
She is running Outlook 2007 on XP SP3, domain environment with an Exchange server (2007 I believe)
On the "broken" machine I have:
created a new mail profile
created a new Windows Profile
renamed her NK2 file
Removed and reinstalled Outlook
Removed and reinstalled Office
looked in MFCMapi.exe, but unable to find anything which might be causing this (although my knowledge of using this tool is almost nonexistant)
used NK2edit to look for any invalid emaill addresses
removed users who had permissions associated with the old domain and added those users from the new domain
all with no success
As I said it must be something broken on the local machine because setting up outlook on another machine works fine
Everything else on the "broken" machine, including all other functions of email and the calendar, appear to be working fine
Short of going through the hassle of reimaging her computer, does anybody have any other suggestions?
Set a maximum attendees that can accept a meeting request.
We run regular training sessions within the organization. We can only accept a maximum of 15 people in each session.
Is there a way I can just set a limit and then send out an Outlook meeting invitations for each session to everyone in the organization and fill the sessions of a first come, first served basis as people accept the meeting invitations.
We currently use Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2007 but Exchange is due for an upgrade soon.
Svend.
