Since we migrated to O365 we have had a number of people report that their Outlook hangs when opening, or opens but then hangs when you select a mail item or folder.
We put this down to a strange bug and appeared to be fixing it by recreating their MAPI profile in Outlook.
Since the weekend (8th June 13) we have had many, many people reporting the problem. We cannot afford to have the entire IT dept spending all day recreating Outlook profiles to fix this - the problem even comes back on some people after this 'fix'.
Does not seems to be an add-in issue as running outlook /safe does not help.
Not a network or firewall issue as laptop user away from the building have the problem too.
We have users running on XP SP3, Win7 and Win7 SP1 reporting the issue. All Office 2007 SP3.
Some users with the issue have connected shared mailboxes, some do not.
We are running in cached mode.
We can't seem to find a cause and therefore have no idea of a true fix.
We're stalling our users by getting them to use OWA, but they're getting restless.
Please - any ideas?

Hi guys,
We're having issues with the redirect feature in Exchange Server 2013 CU1 running on the Windows Server 2012. I have been following MSMVPS Redirecting
OWA URLs in Exchange 2010/2013 article.
http://blogs.msmvps.com/acefekay/2013/04/16/redirect-owa-exchange-2010-exchange-2013-the-cool-and-easy-method/
so if I type into a browser just "bb.myexchange2013.com/owa". OWA doesn't work properly. But if i type in "https://bb.myexchange2013.com/owa" it works fine! Any feedback would be appreciated!

what could be my problem?
Currently on Exchange 2013, have Mail enabled public folders and inside them are Shared Calendars users use to book appointments/resources etc. Previously on exchange 2007 using Folder assistant we were able to setup rule to forward the events/items added by any user to set of users, but same feature (email notification when adding event to shared public calendar) is not working.
Went into the properties of the Shared Calendar, clicked on folder assistant and setup the rules for that particular calendar.
There seems to be no email notifications received. Has that feature been axed in 2013 exchange ? Is there a way to get similar feature even if we have to use other method instead ?
I am setup with Exchange 2013 Cu1 in coexistence with Exchange 2010 sp3. When I have a mailbox on Exchange 2013 and run Outlook 2013 in cached mode (the default in my organization), The address book works fine for email. When I try to add addresses or rooms to a calendar meeting, I get an error message that states:
"The address list cannot be displayed. The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
Under Address book, I see my mailbox, underwhich is contacts followed by All Users both of which work. Then I have Global Address list and a set of lists under that all of which pop the error message above. Following this is my CRM address lists which all work.
It appears that when trying to add rooms or individuals to a meeting it is defaulting to global address book which does not appear to be available. When addressing email it defaults to "all users".
Is this an issue with my default address book? If so how do I resolve this.
Thank you
Fred Zilz

Aloha all,
We have exchange 2010 and using office 2013. when trying to sent Messages from a shared mailbox.....message aren't saved to the Sent Items folder of the shared mailbox in Outlook 2013.
I really hope somebody has an answer to resolve this issue.
Mahalo!
My Windows Server 2012 is a DC with Exchange Server 2013 installed. I also have an Exchange 2010 server on a Windows Server 2008 R2 box. For several months, while my mailbox was on the Exchange 2010 server, I had no trouble connecting to my mailbox with the Outlook 2013 client installed on Windows Server 2012.
Today I moved my mailbox to the Exchange 2013 installed on Windows Server 2013. For some reason, Outlook 2013 is unable to open my mailbox on the localhost. I keep receiving the following error message: Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook file (.ost).
OWA works fine; all Exchange services are running. Outlook 2013 has no issues connecting to the Exchange 2013 server from any other PC. I tried removing and re-installing Office 2013 but it did not help. Any idea on how to fix this? Thanks.
Environment; Office 2013 on Windows 8, with Office 265 Exchange hosting.
When I get email from a colleague (i.e. someone else on Exchange/ActiveDirectory -- where their photo is stored in AD), I get the notification pop-out with (a) a photo of the sender (if available) and (b) the sender's name.
However, I sometimes find that the photo (if shown/available) doesn't match the sender.
