Hi all,
some of our users are experiencing issue with missing presence icon on the left side:
They do not see this icon, only user name. Presence is working fine if we hover over the name and contact card shows up. In OWA it is also working as expected.
Tried both Outlook 2013 and 2016 with same issue. Disabled and also enabled hardware acceleration without any help.
If same account is logged in on another pc, it works fine so it is local issue.
I suspect it is because the issue pc has 4k monitor, we tried different DPI and screen resolution without any help. Even external monitor in difference size has this issue.
Tried GFX driver from pc manufactor, Windows update and also GFX provider without any help.
Seems like this is a known issue from earlier client:

This registry did not help since path shown in the link does not exist. (Common\PersonaMenu and Common\IM).
Does anyone have a workaround for this?
Computer is brand new and it is an annoying bug, since our users have to hover to see their presence.

I have a problem with Outlook rules (version 2010).
Error: "Attempted operation failed Unable to locate an object."
I can not manage or create any rules.
I tried:
Create/configure a new profile in Outlook - not worked;
Already installed office again - not worked;
I changed my computer, reinstalling it again - not worked.
Appears to be a side issue ldap object /Exchange (2003) /my mailbox database.
Any tips to fix/solve the problem?

I began using a profile picture for my Exchange 2013 mailbox in Outlook. when I send emails to others in our organization they can see my profile picture in the upper right-hand corner of the email. This is working correctly for me.
However, others want to add their picture as well but are having some difficulty. When other users add their picture using the OWA it appears as though it should be working. However, when they send an email their pictures are not displayed on the messages.
If you open the global address book and then click on the user's name you can see their picture. But it is still not showing up in messages.
Any thoughts?

In Outlook 2016 a user is making an Appointment and adds some Attendees. But in Scheduling Assistant the Attendees calendars appear grayed out. In OWA the Attendees Calendar also is Grayed Out.
But when the user opens the Attendees calendar its possible to see everything.
Why is this happening?

Got a problem little problem in my exchange environment:
Exchange 2013 (also 2016) configured to use upn as login ( test@contoso.com) - that works fine.
But when the password expires, user logs on to OWA and is prompted to change it, by redirecting to ... owa/auth/expiredpassword.aspx?url=/owa/auth.owa where previously entered email address (upn) is blank - needs to be re-entered.
If i use contoso.local\test as login to owa after redirection to owa/auth/expiredpassword.aspx?url=/owa/auth.owa
email address is filled from the previous page as contoso.local\test , so only the password needs to be entered 3 times:)

I have email John Smith<J.Smith@abc.com>. It was created in Exchange 2013.
When i send local Lan exchange display name ok. John Smith<J.Smith@abc.com>.
But when i send to external system email example: gmail do not display sender's Name in AD
only display email J.smith@abc.com. I need display Name in AD John Smith<J.Smith@abc.com>

I am having issue find instruction on how to setup Exchange 2013 to send email using TLS via a smart host. I can see instruction on setup TLS with Partner, but that only lets you send via MX records using DNS. I need to use
a smart host. I don't know if I can setup a partner and then add in the smart host after, if this will still use TLS.
So we have all outbound mail go via Mimecast, and I would like to enforce TLS for all outbound traffic using mimecast. We have a public certificate and this is bound the IIS and SMTP.
Can someone please send me a link or instruction on how to setup TLS for all outbound email using a SMART host?

Just a question as to whether this should work or not.
I am trying to set up a new Outlook profile on a pc that has never been on the corporate network. PC is logging on with a local account, not A.D.
Exchange server is Exchange 2010 - Outlook is 2013
Should I be able to set up a new profile in this scenario or is it never going to work ? Will it only work if the PC has been initially set up on the corporate network ?
It is currently not working. Getting constant password prompts or server unavailable messages.
Laptops which are domain joined (but still remote from the main network) seem to work OK.

We have our own exchange server in house and is working fine
We have a user where when they login via OWA, the new email, reply , forward buttons do nothing.
Same computer logged in as administrator ( Windows 10 64bit)
open a web browser ( have used Edge, IE, Chrome and Firefox all latest version installed)
User logs into exchange OWA server no problems, receives emails can open sent email, but cannot compose a new email or reply/forward an existing one.
User now logs out.
Different user then logs in (same server same computer)
This user and the rest of out users can compose a new email, reply or forward existing one (buttons work)
As two users have been tested on the same computer with it is not a local computer issue.
Have also checked all settings between users in AD and on exchange server no different.
Also check all settings with in outlook also no difference.
Could I please have a solution or where to look for a solution to this issue.

We have an internal CA based on windows server 2008 and its certificate will expire soon, we issued a certificate to the exchange 2013 server multirole instance and this certificate also will expires soon.
I wanted to know the impact of renewing the exchange certificate and / or the internal CA certificate on the exchange services that are running using it IIS, Exchange Actyve Sync , IMAP ... and should I have to re-activate all syncronyzed phones in the company if I renew the exchange certificate? or they will have no impact .
Please help as its critical to our busness.

1- My Outlook Client is in cached Exchange mode. If I make change in offline version of GAL (offline Address book), will those changes be synced to Exchange GAL? I'm asking For example, Distribution List created on Exchange Server showing as contact group in Outlook. However, changes made by manager in membership of Outlook version of Distribution List also reflects on Exchange version of Distribution List. Does it mean sync between Offline Address book and Exchange GAL are both directions?
2- Assuming Outlook is in cached Exchange mode, what are other settings/data except mailbox content that sync (one way or two way) between Outlook and Exchange?

Hello everyone,
I have a third party application which require MS windows 10 Mail app to send application Error logs for troubleshooting.
I tried to configure that application via Other Account --> IMAP. I can receive emails but cannot send outbound.
I tried using Office 365 which say O365 and Exchange, but since i have Exchange 2013 On Prem it try to make connection using Active Sync which does not work.
I think IMAP can work if someone can guide me what could be the issue for outbound connection with Exchange.

But, you know who the customers are who always want exceptions and have been there to complicate. I've done a lot of research and asked for help from other people in the exchange area and we still have few ideas. The script will create all new accounts already disabled with POP and IMAP. A task is performed in an environment that exists on an account with POP and IMAP features, but there may be exceptions where accounts registered in tasks will not be removed or POP and IMAP from specific accounts. Ask for guidance and suggestions on how to proceed.
