Speedup Outlook 2016 and Exchange 2013

Hello, 

Situation:   

- 2 Powerusers have one Exchange 2013 Exchange Server (it has not the latest CU, approx 2 years old)   with one 200 GB *.EDB Database File
- Group Folder "GLOBAL"  has 100 GB Size
- User Mailbox with personalmailadress has 50 GB Size
- Groupfolder "Global" is very much in use and it has over 300 Subfolder for each client

(current settings:  User Mailbox in Cache Modus, shared outlook folders not in cache modus)

We tried to get Cache Modus for shared folders, but client-based rules wasn´t possible to save.
Items per Subfolder in Groupfolder "Global"  are arround 1000-5000
I know, Microsoft suggests to keep Exchange EDB File below 200 GB due to performance Issues.
We will move this big Folder in own Database?

How to speed up Outlook 2016 Clients, do you think Cache Modus for all Folders is the Maingoal?

Hello,

I have a problem with some clients on my forest environment.

The organization is working with a single forest and a single domain. Windows 2012 R2 Active Directory with 2 dc with Windows Server 2012 R2 Standard OS.

I have exchange 2010 standard on windows 2012 Standard Server as a member of the domain.

I have outlook 2013 and 2010 on the clients computers,

I have moved on 04/2015 the 200 mailboxes from exchange 2003 Enterprise to this exchange 2010 Standard.

I keep getting this message on some clients "   The Microsoft Exchange administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook " when the user first do a login to the computer and opens outlook.

I have enabled logging on the client and this is the output: Please Help.

Hi Everyone,

I just migrate from Exchange 2007 to exchange 2013. Last night I migrated the Public Folder and this morning it keeps popping in outlook the following message. I closed and reset outlook twice but it keeps coming back.

"Microsoft Exchange Administrator has made a change that requires you quit and restart Outlook"

Please for assistance.

Outlook Crashes even in Safe mode but outlook web app is working fine for an Exchange Online user

Hello All,

I have user who is able to access his mailbox using outlook web app with no problem but, when the user launches outlook it crashes.

Troubleshooting steps performed

1. Launch outlook in safe mode (Crashed)

2. Launched outlook using the resetnavpane switch (crashed)

3. performed quick repair on outlook (crashed)

4. Uninstalled and re-installed office pro plus. (crashed)

5. Created a new profile for the outlook (crashed)

Please let me know if there is any thing I am missing in the trouble shooting.

Details disappear/delete when opening individual calendar planner within a series

I have a calendar series set up for everyday with details included in the body of the planner. Recently, when I open an individual instance within the series, the details disappear, but are there when I open the entire series. I have tried opening the series and re sending the details but the problem is not resolved. I have to individually update the planner every day which is annoying because the invite is sent out to 300 people. Can someone please help find a solution? 

Archive a 55GB Mailbox

Dear Team,

A user within my company has a mailbox of 55GB size. We wish to archive all the emails as pst file.

However using the export as pst option created a file of 191GB (and counting) as a result we had to cancel the process. Is there any other way i could get this done?

problem with private meetings in shared room calendars

Hello

a customer of ours has problems with private meetings in shared room calendars:when someone books a private meeting in the calendars of the meeting rooms, they appear 3x.The secretary can only approve one meeting when she receives the invitation in her mailbox.She cannot click on the other 2 in the shared calendar, so she cannot delete them neither.

This way it seems as if the organizer (person who has requested the meeting) has booked the meeting 3 times, but this is not the case.

The problem only occurs with private meetings.

Anyone an idea???

Outlook Client Session when switching Identity Providers from ADFS to Ping Federate

Hi, 

When we migrated our O365 Environment from ADFS to Ping Federate, we noticed some sign in issues with Outlook Client.  It was understood that users would not be able to sign in to their Outlook Client during the migration period.  Once we broke the trust with ADFS and Federate the Trust with Ping Federate, there was a period of time where users using Outlook Client could still not sign in.  Web Browsers worked right away.  The issue seems to be with how Outlook Client handles cached sessions or access tokens. After a variable period of time users can all connect using their Outlook Client but is there a way to force Outlook Client to purge the stale sessions and force it to sign in to O365?

Outlook - Envelope icon doesn't disappear

Hi,
I've enabled the Envelope Icon in the system tray for new mails (http://support.microsoft.com/kb/292034/en-us).

If a new mail arrives and I open Outlook 2013, read the mail, the envelope doesn't disappear, even if there aren't any unread messages.
The only temporary solution is to right-click any Outlook folder with all read mail and then selectMark All as Read in the context menu (mentioned here: http://superuser.com/questions/335122/why-does-the-outlook-taskbar-envelope-icon-sometimes-remain-active-even-if-i-ha)

We are using Outlook 2013 with Exchange 2010 SP3.

Why isn't the envelope hiding automatically, after I read all mails? This doesn't happen always, but most the times.

Unable to connect to office 365 after changing domain password and office 365 password.

User has changed domain login password and office365 password and after that it is not connecting to office 365 inbox on outlook 2013 & keeps prompting for password. He is able to login office 365 on browser with new office 365 password. Can anyone suggest solution.

Migrate WLM 2011 emails to Outlook 2016 (Office 365)

I have just installed Office 365 and need to transfer all of my existing emails in WLM2011, I am running win10 (64 bit). I have followed the following instructions (https://support.microsoft.com/en-gb/kb/980534http://):

In the Windows Live Mail window, click the File button and select Export and then select Email messages.
Select Microsoft Exchange as the format and then click Next.
You will see a message that all email will be exported to Microsoft Outlook or Microsoft Exchange, click Ok to continue.
You can export all email folders or select the appropriate folders that you want to export by using the Select folders option.
After you select the appropriate option, click OK and wait for the export process to be completed.

The underlined bit does not appear, from the 2nd line it goes straight to the export process without giving me the option to pick where it all goes. After the "export" has completed there is nothing showing in Outlook 2016.

is there a way to export from WLM2011 to Outlook 2016

Duplicate emails

Greetings:

I have an issue with Duplicate emails being sent.
A user may send an email, logout (soon after, or some time later), and upon their next login a duplicate email is sent.

Im looking for help in troubleshooting this issue.

My environment:

Windows Server 2012 R2, up to date
Exchange 2013, latest CU
4 regional DAGs
Outlook 2016 client, up to date

Hi,

I need help on a problem i'm investigating for a few days without succes.

Mails which are sent from Outlook (cached mode) goes directly to sent items but are not really sent : get-messagetrackinglog does not found the mail.
This problem doesn't occur each time, it affects all users (witht outlook 2010 to 2016) no matter if recipients are internal or external. We can have hours and days without problems.
If we use OWA, all emails are sent successfully.
Backend : 1 MBX server and 1 Edge both on exchange 2016 cu8, around 20 mailboxes.

Tests i've made :
Increasing ram for mbx server because it had only 2 GB free out of 16GB. Now it has 24 GB. Same for edge, from 4GB to 8GB.
Increasing limits (rcamaxconcurrency, ewsmaxconcurrency etc...) with a new throttling policy applied to all mbx and registry keys (Maximum allowed sessions per users, etc...).
Reboot all switches, in case of bad route
Reboot mbx et edge vm
Shutting down Antivirus on servers and clients
Log and event viewer don't tell me anything usefull
OPMLogs says all is good, mail is sent, synch ok and puts mails to sent.
Queues are empty.
Firewall don't block anything since it's all inside network.

Tests with outlook online mode : 
All attemps are in fact stuck in outbox.
When I send a new mail that fails : it stays int outbox but it's not in sent items.
When I send a new mail that successes :  it stays in outbox but it's not in sent items or it moves to sent items.
In case the mail stays in outbox, I can resend it and this time it's really sent and goes to sent items.

If you have any suggestions, feel free to share !

I am getting owa2 downloads at a rate of 20 per minute. i have no idea what they are and why and cannot stop them.please help

I keep getting the error message "Cannot open the item for this reminder. The end date you entered occurs before the start date" The item doesn't even exist. How can I delete it.

Outlook is re-sending old emails to same recipients and then those sent emails are deleted

I have a Windows 10 client with Outlook 2016 that resent a lot of old emails, that had originally been delivered.  We are running Exchange 2010.  I opened the mailbox and could see several in sent items all going out at the exact same time, and it sounds like they went to the same people that had received them before(months old) because multiple people called asking why they were getting old emails.  While I had the mailbox opened, those resent emails then disappeared from her sent items on their own.  I could still see her older sent items, but not the resent emails that everyone is reporting they are receiving.  So far nothing appears malicious and it just cannot be explained.  I rebuilt her profile, but does anyone have any other ideas for what I can do from the troubleshooting side?

Disable From option for all the outlook clients in domain

Hi,

I am facing a very critical security issue in my domain.

Any user can choose From option and send behalf of any other person email address.

In Owa its showing From but none of them cam sent behalf of any other person.

How do I disable the FROM option for all outlook clients ?

Please help me.
