So , i have been trying to create rules via the exchange management shell using the new-inboxrule command . When i create rules via owa they work fine but it takes alot of time so i decided to create them using powershell. When i create 1 rule via powershell it works fine but i want to create 300 of them . I have tested creating them in batches of 100 and all shows good no errors or nothing they display fine in owa and outlook client but they just dont work . They dont apply all emails stay in inbox . One thing i though is because i am not setting priority for each one of them could it be that ? But then when i use get-inboxrule for mailbox i can see the server automatically assigns them a priority number as it enters them into the system.
Can you please help into what might be the issue?
Exchange 2010 (could upgrade to 2013/2016 if it will help with this problem), Outlook 2010 & 2013.
I know this question has been asked before, but I want to expand on it slightly. We have a set of users that need to all monitor some general mailboxes. But when they reply, we want the replies to come from the general mailbox e-mail address. So we can delegate. So far, so good.
But now they do not want their own signature to go with those messages. Sure, we can create all the signatures on each of their computers and have them manually select the correct one when sending; however, I am wondering if there is an way to automate this with a newer version of Exchange and/or Outlook or even a third-party application. I have used CodeTwo before, but not for any current clients and not in the context of delegation.
Are there any such tools built into newer Exchange/Outlook and/or can anyone suggest a third-party tool to automate this?
We are using a hosted Exchange 2013 server with roughly 10 user accounts. Only one of our users is experiencing any problems, which are as follows. This user operates off of an Apple desktop and uses OWA exclusively. They do not use Outlook.
Hello,
this is a recent problem; no new downloads or unusual activity. The vertical scroll bar gets stuck at bottom of screen and show very old emails from 2007. Trying to scroll upwards to newest email makes scroll bar just jump back to bottom. However if i go
to task manager and close it, the problem is resolved. I have to do this many times throughout the day.
please advise
cheers

Hi All,
I've been pointed towards the technet forum for this question:
I have multiple exchange accounts using Outlook 2010 and redirect emails from one account to different respective accounts depending on the content. The primary account is on an exchange server I control but the others are not.
If I add a redirect rule to OWA on my primary account the redirect works correctly as the server leaves the email as destination@example.com. However when I start Outlook it changes the rules destination to the my username on the remote network and the domain to my internal network for example :
remoteUsername@myInternalDomain.
This won't work as the domain is internal only and the email needs to travel outside of my network.
Is there a way to stop Outlook from automatically resolving the email address and force it to continue to sending to destination@example.com?
Hello,
My environment contains Exchange 2013, 2010 and 2007 servers.
I'm facing an issue in OWA. When creating a meeting request, the add button to find a room displays "No rooms were found in the directory". Same thing when I'm using the scheduling assistant.
However, I'm able to see the room mailboxes when I go to People search in OWA.
No issue on Outlook client. Mailboxes were created on EX2K7 & EX2K10.
Exchange servers are 2013 CU12 running on W2K12/R2.
Thanks for your feedback, have a very nice weekend.

Hi,
some of our users are using outlook 2016 to connect to our exchange 2013 server. After that, I find error 500 is generated in IIS log. But users can use outlook 2016 without any problem. such as, sending and receiving mail. is there any configuration i need to setup in order to work with outlook 2016?

Hello Everyone
I have two exchange servers configured as CAS and mailbox I can't access OWA or ECP from any location not even from the exchange server itself by typing it's local IP address I checked the iis bindings on both servers and they all are are configured with the certificate, we also can't receive or send emails from any Active Sync mobile. any suggestion would be appreciated
Best
In environment have two mailbox server of Exchange 2013.
Recently for a particular user in owa automatically mail from inbox moves to deleted items . There is no rules in OWA and Server.
No other client application is using right now.
Please help me out to sort out this issue.
I have a single user who cannot connect Outlook to their Exchange mailbox.
The error is “Cannot start Microsoft Outlook. Cannot open the Outlook window. The set of folders cannot be opened. The “local ost file” is not an outlook data file (ost).
We are running Exchange 2013 (not 365), with Office 2010, Office 2013 and Office 2016. The user can use OWA fine. No other users are affected. I have tried moving mailbox to another db, running a mailbox repair in PowerShell (New-MailboxRepairRequest -Mailbox ******* -CorruptionType SearchFolder, AggregateCounts, ProvisionedFolder, FolderView) I have tried a number of different workstations and versions of office, tried editing workstation registry with manual entry for the Global catalog server, ran managedfolderassistant on the mailbox, checked C:\drive space on both exchange servers, etc. Nothing is working, please help, as I am out of ideas, short of deleting the user from Exchange/AD and importing a mailbox backup into a new user account/mailbox of the same name. Thanks in advance for any help on this.
Dear all,
(1) Is there any best practice available to prevent non trusted clients to connect with their local Outlook (e.g. private computer) via Outlook Anywhere to our company's exchange?
(2) Is there an option available to limit Outlook Anywhere to dedicated users in the company?
Any help is definitely appreciated. Thanks in advance.

I have an exchange mailbox for my own account and also have access to an exchange shared mailbox. The shared mailbox is occasionally the recipient (via CC) of items I send out, for record keeping purposes. This is usually in reply to something received, either directly to me or to both mailboxes.
I have conversation view enabled in my inbox. Occasionally, and with no discernible pattern, the conversation will favour the copy of my reply that is stored in the shared mailbox over the one in my sent items. This is no issue for the content of the message, but if I apply a category to the conversation, it applies it to the item in the shared folder (which does not have my customised categories) and does not apply it to the item in my sent items.
For example:
person@companyABC.com sends an email to me@mycompany.com, and CC's in shared_mailbox@mycompany.com.
I reply from me@mycompany.com, and CC in shared_mailbox@mycompany.com.
My conversation view in my inbox shows the email as received, and shows the reply, but indicates that the version it is showing is in shared_mailbox/folder instead of the version in my Sent Items.
I apply a customised category to the conversation.
The item in my inbox has the category applied.
The item in shared_mailbox/folder now has an category applied that is not relevant for that mailbox.
The reply in my sent items does not have a category applied.
As this does not happen every time, it is difficult to determine why Outlook sometimes preferences the shared mailbox item.
Is there any way to force Outlook to always preference items in the conversation that exist in the "primary" mailbox over the copy that may exist in another mailbox?
When trying to access OWA from internal network (external access is working):

I am trying to get Enterprise Vault to work with EXchange 2013 OWA Office Apps but the application give an error that it fails to initialize and according to Veritas this is due to a problem with Exchange OAuth but I am unable to figure out what/how to fix. The thumprints for the certificate match the results from get-authconfig but test-oauthconnectivity fails. Below is output.

Dears,
I wants to deploy this Outlook 2013 update 2863911 to all user computers, but this update is not supporting Windows 10 because it is 2014.
Usually I'm using Microsoft System Center Configuration Manager 2012 R2 for deploying Windows and office updates, when I wants to deploy this update it can't find this update and it said this update is no longer superseded by another update, and it give me these two updates instead of "KB3115158" and "KB3115031".when I run software updates.
My question is, are these updates released or replaced with KB2863911? Can I use these two updates "KB3115158" and "KB3115031"instead of KB2863911?
Thanks.
i need some info about ost files, how does it work, are all e-mails residing in ost files and so on.
many thanks.
