OWA brings up logon screen but after login gives http 500 internal server error

We have 2 Exchange 2010 servers that have been in place and working great for about 15 months.  We have 1 Windows 2008 Domain Controller and 2 older Windows 2003 Domain controllers.

Earlier today we had power go out in our area and so all equipment had to be shut down.  After power was restored I began to power everything back up.  I power on the DC's first and on down the line.  After powering everything back up I began to check everything.  Email works fine using Outlook but I noticed that I could not logon thru OWA.  I get to the logon screen fine but after entering my credentials I immediately get "HTTP 500 internal server error".  I don't see any errors or issues.  I don't know where to start looking.  Can someone help me out?  HELP!!   thanks

Outlook 2013 and 2016 fails to send same time every day

I'm having an issue with a client. They are using hosted exchange with Outlook 2013 and 2016.

Every day from 11:30am till noon their Outlook will not send emails. The progress bar just spins on "sending email", but there is no progress.

After Outlook is restarted, it will send perfectly for the rest of the day.

I have checked the following: any anti virus scans, any scheduled tasks such as backups ect. I have also ran a network connection ping to both the exchange server and Google (as a control subject). The connection is not lost when this happens.

The only common task I see running is the MS Office license validation service.

They are running in cached exchange mode. Any ideas?

Random Outlook 2010 Message - opens within a message and contains a scroll bar......

One user has a random issue - they open an email (doesn't matter if it is from inside our company, outside our company) and it seems that the email opens within an Outlook message window - it appears with scroll bars, which will scroll.  User can't do anything with the email (from what has been told to me).  The one I saw, contained hyperlinks that user couldn't click on.  Once the user closes out of Outlook and relaunches it - the same email will look and work just fine.

Items that have been tried (that I know of)

Replaced her user profile, added RAM to computer, replaced her computer - that fixed it for a little while, then problem resurfaced, replaced her normalemail.dotm file (this seems to have resolved it for 2 days, perhaps), replaced her Office key registery - so it was replaced as a new install the next time an office program was launched - appeared to make it worse.

Obviously there is something that it triggering this, but just not sure what it can be.  As far as we know this is only happening to one user.  I have placed an image of what user sees when they get this message.  Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.

It happened on my Outlook 2010 Notes, some of my note suddenly has some funny letters mixed, but I never re-edited them. why?

I feel a bit scared, because I use 'Notes' to store my 'Key Info', so I can access them from anywhere.

Is Outlook notes a safe APPs?

Outlook keeps asking for password (but works partially if dialog is canceled)

Hi,

I use Outlook 2016 to connect to an on-premise MS Exchange 2013 server.

When opened, Outlook automatically connects to the server and synchronizes e-mails successfully. After about a minute, Outlook prompts for credentials. If I enter wrong credentials, the dialog re-appears immediately. If I enter correct credentials, the dialog re-appears after about five seconds. During this process, the status bar shows "Connected to Microsoft Exchange". I can only get back to work by choosing "Cancel" in the credentials dialog, which makes the status bar turn to "Enter credentials" (wording may differ slightly, this is translated from the German version). When I do that, I can still send and receive e-mails. Other functionality (e.g. accessing shared calendars) does not work properly (in that very case, Outlook tells me that I don't have access rights for the shared calendar).

If I click on "Enter credentials" in the status bar, the status bar immediately turns to "Connected to Microsoft Exchange". But again, after about a minute, Outlook starts prompting for credentials as before.

What can cause this issue? How can I resolve it?

Outlook Reminder Pop Up Won't Maximize

When I click on the reminders button in the customize status bar and then attempt to open them the pop up for the reminders attempts to maximize but it remains minimized. No matter how many times I then click the pop up from within the Toolbar shortcut it won't maximize...

I've attempted to find a solution to this with no success.

Anyone having similar problems and find a solution? This is for Outlook 2013

Thank You,

Exchnage 2010 Outlook Autodiscover issue

Hello!

Currently I have an issue which is affecting about 5% of our users - Outlook Anywhere autodiscover fails with error 0x80040413.

Looks like the issue is related to an Internet provider: the same user can successfully connect to Exchange resources from home WiFi or using another mobile carrier using the same laptop, same mailbox etc.

The issue is not platform-specific, both Windows and Mac users are affected.

I use a Public certificate for our Exchange, the certificate is trusted on user laptops and passes all checks.

Remote Connectivity Analyzer shows all green.

Looking for help, as I ran out of ideas on how to fix this issue.

Meetings created after some time start shoing up "re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar" with no body information e.g. Lync meeting

My manager is having a problem.  "randomly" reoccurring meetings in outlook will after some time start showing as this:

"Exchange 2013 re-created a meeting that was missing from your calendar"

With all the "meat" of the body is missing.

We are running Exchange 2013 SP1 and Outlook 2013.  They look the same in OWA.  Meetings can be from different senders, different times etc.

Any thoughts?

Sent Items in Outlook 2010 do not show on office.outlook.com

Hi

I use Office 2010 in corporate environment connecting to a Microsoft Exchange Server, also I can access the same accounts from office.outlook.com.

I have two issues I do not have idea how to sort.

I do have a personal e-mail address and I have also access to other shared inbox, under the same account.

When I do send a message from my personal account it appears in the sent item in Office 2010 but they do not show up in the online one.  The same happens when I "send As", it shows in my personal sent folders, but not in the online one.

I am part of a team of three and I am the only one using Office 2010, while the other two use use online version.

We use those accounts for work and we need to keep the sent items.

How can I have the sent items synchronize between the two?

Is there a way to create a rule or a little script which add the messages I "send As" to the sent folder of the account i "sent As" for?

Thanks

Open Exchange 2010 Mailbox using Exchange 2013 OWA

Hello,

I have coexistence scenario with Exchange 2010 and Exchange 2013. All mailboxes are in Exchange 2010 servers and only one test mailbox is in Exchange 2013 server.

When I open Exchange 2013 OWA, I can access only to the Exchange 2013 mailbox. If I login with Exchange 2010 credentials in OWA 2013, I get an error like "X-FEServer: casservername".

In both Exchange 2010 and 2013 CAS, the internal and external URL are the same "https://exchange.mydomain.com/owa

There is no errors registered in Eventviewer.

I need to use Exchange 2013 OWA to access all mailboxes before migrating them to new databases, because we are going to change public A DNS to redirect traffic to new Exchange 2013 OWA.

How can I do?

Thank you

Migration from 2010 to 2013 problem

Hi

Ive recently installed Exchange 2013 on three servers which are existing in parallel to 2 CAS 2010 servers and mailboxes. Everything is configured and I moved over my first mailbox today. no issues

OWA working etc

when I launch outlook I get a prompt warning me about a certificate problem. The warning originates from the FQDN of the 2013 server where the mailbox database is but the certificate itself is the correct SSL with the namespace for outlook anywhere which was set in the EAC for the server If I click yes then I get the dreaded "Microsoft exchange administrator has made a change" message and I cannot launch outlook.

Is this autodiscover? Or a mis configuration somewhere else

I haven't configured autodiscover for the new servers yet. So it is using <server FQDN>/autodiscover/etc instead of the same namespace as the 2010. reason being I don't want certificate warnings for users still on 2010 if they pick up the autodiscover info from the new servers

OWA Sign Out doesn't work

I'm testing Exchange 2013 and running into the issue. On the OWA page, when I click on Sign out, OWA doesn't sign out.. It gives me "Sign Out" window with statement: "You must close all browser windows to sign out completely". Same behavior on local server, on remote server.. /OWA /ECP site.. Admin user, non admin user..

Forms authentication is disabled, basic and windows are enabled.

If I manually add /owa/logoff.owa it logs me off..

Any ideas?

Outlook client triggering bad password events, locking accounts

$

I am pulling my hair out on this one.  I've been trying to complete a 2010->2013 migration, but this problem is holding me up.

Something is triggering bad password events when an Outlook client configures itself, and because our password policy only allows 3 bad passwords, accounts with mailboxes on our new 2013 servers are locking up frequently.  (I should say I *think* this is the cause, but it is hard to track down.) This is not happening to accounts still on the 2010 servers.

I have run everything on testconnectivity.microsoft.com, and that all checks out.  It seems that this only occurs when the user's UPN matches the e-mail address, which is the case for most users in our environment.  If I change the user's UPN to something else, the problem does not occur.

I downloaded the Microsoft Connectivity Analyzer tool from the testconnectivity site, and I can trigger the issue by running the "I am experiencing other problems with Outlook" test while Outlook is open on the machine.   If I then use the UPN for the account in the dialogue, the account locks out when the test starts to run.  If I use DOMAIN\user format, no lockout occurs.

I can also trigger the event by creating several Outlook profiles in a row, since every new profile creation seems to trigger a bad password event.  This is on a domain computer, and this does not (and should not) ask for the password.  Outlook does configure correctly and open the mailbox (assuming the account hasn't locked out yet).  Running "Test E-mail Auto-configuration" from an Outlook client does NOT trigger the event.

The bad password events are occurring on the Exchange server itself.  I have enabled netlogon debugging, and I don't see any failure events for the account in the netlogon.log file, either on the Exchange servers or on the DCs.  Here is an example of a bad password event, though I should say I am not even sure this is what's triggering the lockout since I can't find any failure events on any of my DCs:

The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable. Outlook must be online to complete this action

Hey there,

I have just installed Exchange 2013 on Svr2012r2.  We are currently running Exchange 2007 environment and planning to migrate over completely if I can ever get the new one working right.  Install went well, but am having a couple of problems:

1.  Mail flow from mailbox on Ex2013 to mailbox on Ex2007 does not work.  2007 to 2013 does work.  I did create a receive connector on 2007 allowing mail from 2013 but when I try to set one up on 2013 to receive from 2007 I get an error saying it conflicts with settings in the Default Frontend connector.  So I figure I will just migrate all users(about 190) at once, on a weekend, after I get 2013 working correctly.

2.  I am also having a problem with autodiscover and Outlook 2013.  I get the error "The connection to Microsoft Exchange is unavailable.  Outlook must be online to complete this action" when I try to set it up.  Valid cert is in place and naming appears to be correct (mail.mydomain.com and autodiscover.mydomain.com)  A record is set up in DNS for both mail and autodiscover and resolve fine.  Can ping server from pc and vice versa.

I have searched and searched but cannot find the solution that works for me.  Any help would be greatly appreciated!!

Hi Guys,

Is there a way to find out where an IMAP client software connecting to which Exchange Server?

Our environment is using load balancer (f5) to connect to our exchange which handled by the other team. I don't know if this something we find from f5 or from the client computer itself.

Thanks

For a single user OWA loads when database on one server but doesn't when DAG fails over to other server.

Hi all,

I'm running Exchange 2013 on Windows Server 2012 R2 setup with a DAG configured.... in this DAG I've got 10 databases configured with hundreds of users in all the databases combined.  Of the servers that are members of this DAG, some are in the USA and others in India. When the databases in the USA are active everyone can access their account via OWA with no problem except one person (who is the only one to report this issue thus far).  However with this single user, his OWA opens with the "Light" version only...  When the databases fail over to make the databases in India active, everyone can still access OWA as intended except this troubled user, he cannot access his OWA at all...

I've checked the health of the database that account was in, its fine... I've performed a move request to a different database to see if that helps, it doesn't even after it completes successfully.  I'm trying to find a solution without having to recreate the user account in AD....I'm not sure what else to check, can someone help me?
