Hallo all,

We just done a Exchange 2010 to exchange 2013 migration. But we are missing the option to sort by TO function. the From is there. Exchange 2010 has the option so does 365 owa. is there a way to enable it?

(extra question) Is Exchange 2016 also missing the TO function?

Thanks,

Alexander Koopman

I'm using Office 2013 and for some reason all my email have dissapeared from my Indbox folder. Not old or new messages are shown it is just completely blank.  But there are mails in the subfolders to the Inbox, so very strange.

I'm running on exchange 2010 in none cache mode, I have also tried cache mode but it doesn't help

Zoho Mail to Exchange migration

Hi,

We are looking to shift from Zoho Mail and Calendar to Exchange Online (Microsoft hosted).

What support can you offer to migrate all employees mail and calendar contents to Exchange? Does Microsoft offer this service or can you recommend a provider who does. This needs to be flawless as we can't risk losing information.

Thanks,

Martin

Outlook 2016 - (Sent) Email Shows with Paperclip but doesn't have attachment

$

A client of ours has the latest version of Office 2016 installed. The Outlook version is 16.0.6568.2036

The user has been having issues when sending attachments. It's an intermittent issue, sometimes it happens, sometimes it doesn't.

The user attaches an attachment to an email and sends it to a recipient. The paperclip to suggest there's an attachment on the email is shown but when she opens the email from within the sent box there is no attachment. The recipient hasn't received the attachment either.

The user would then create a new email with the same attachment and the same recipient and it sends fine.

I've checked the mail logs in Exchange 2010 and the server doesn't receive the attachment. (The email is too small)

I've disabled all the addons within Outlook and turned off the Antivirus on the machine. Doesn't fix the issue.

Looking in the OWA the email shows as not having an attachment but again within Outlook 2016 it does.

I've ran a repair on Office and made sure all the updates for both Windows and Office are installed. Only this one user is affected within the organisation.

To clarify the Outlook is configured to use a local (on-premise) Exchange 2010 server. The PC is on a local Domain.

Exchange 2013: Outlook Anywhere periodicaly disconnects and reconnects

For some reason when external use Outlook Anywhere, after a while it disconnects from the Exchange server and tries to reconnect, then in few minutes it successfully connects again. All this time all the Exchange servers stay untouched.

Many of our users are experiencing this issue.

Tested the scenario with different versions of outlook, 2010, 2013, 2016. all of them experience the disconnects. I have tested at various locations with wired ethernet connection and WiFi. At all the locations the issue persists. Exchange cached mode is off, it seems it does not happen when cached mode is on!

I haven't spotted any relevant events in the eventviewer on the Exchange and TMG servers.

Our environment consists of a number of exchange servers, we use MAPI over HTTP connections to connect to the mailboxes. Autodiscover is configured. We make use of a TMG firewall server when connecting from outside of the LAN.

All of the Exchange servers run Windows Server 2012 R2, the TMG server runs on Windows Server 2008R2.

here are the various Exchange servers, and their roles:

ServerRole : Mailbox, ClientAccess
Edition : Enterprise

Cannot open your default e-mail folders, mixed 2010 - 2013 environment when creating second profile

Hi

I have a mixed 2010 - 2013 environment and things are almost working as expected.

Right now I have 3 mailboxes in 2013, but if I try to create a new Outlook with one of those mailboxes I get the "cannot open your default e-mail folders".

If I log on to a pc with that user, Outlook finds the mailbox without any problems.

Why does it fail when I try to create a profile on another users login? It seems that it resolves to the old CAS array (RpcClientAccessServer). Even if I try to repair the Outlook profile it resolves the wrong (2010) CAS array.

Any ideas?

We have two exchange 2013 servers running with a load balancer. One of my servers I can connect pop3 port 110 just fine testing with telnet but my second server will not allow the connection. I have gone over all the settings I can think of but can not find the issue. Both servers look to be configured the same. Anyone have any ideas?

I ran Test-PopConnectivity against both my servers and getting Failure about the User and the mailbox ore in different Active Directory sites. Inner Error

Outlook 2013 forwarding emails to a public group

$

Hello,

I am attempting to forward emails from clients to a public group (a website). I have followed below rules:

Manage Rules & Alerts -> New Rule -> Apply rule on messages I receive -> select "from people or public group -> click under step 2 "apply this rule after the message arrives from people or public group" -> insert email from "jan@client.com" ->forward it to people or public group -> click under step 2 "forward it to people or public group" -> insert email to "public@group.com" -> skip past exceptions -> click "run this rule now on messages already in "inbox" -> Hit finish.

Following these steps, I should be able to see a log of all of my previous emails from clients. Unfortunately, while the site does make a log of past emails, it only logs the most recent emails, while emails from further back are not logged. I already reached out to support for the website, but they have the same problems. They said to reach out to Outlook support since the rules are being made on their end, and possibly trying variations to the rule. I haven't tried any variations yet because I don't know where to start. Please help! Thank you.

Disable OWA Conversation Globally

I've seen many older posts on this, but nothing recent. Is there yet a way to globally disable Conversations in OWA for all users/all folders? It's feature we turn off in Outlook, and would like to have a similar experience in OWA. Asking hundreds of users to turn this off for probably thousands of folders isn't an optimal solution.

Copy to calendar no longer an option in Outlook 2016 calendar where I have two different calendars

I recently reinstalled Windows 10 and Office 365.

I have 2 email accounts with 2 calendars in Outlook, one calendar being my primary and the other a secondary calander.
Previously I was able to copy events in my secondary calendar to my primary calendar using the 'Copy to my calendar' button in Outlook.
I can no longer find this button so am wondering how I copy events from one calendar to the other?

Also, as a matter of interest, my one account is now a Microsoft Exchange account, the other an Outlook Active Sync account when both were previously Active Sync accounts.  Would this have anythin to do with the problem I now have?

Hi,

I’m using outlook 2016 with a micrososft exchange account and some recipients are receiving my emails as a winmail.dat file and they can't open it.

So I'm sending an email with a pdf attachment, and the recepient receives a winmail.dat file instead of the pdf.

The emails are composed in HTML format but for some reason they receive it as winmail.dat.

Please advice how to solve this problem.

Many thanks

Outlook 2007 cant find anything, Message appeared "Client operation failed"

$

We got an issue that we couldnt find a solution in Exchange 2013.

We have a shared mailbox. It was migrated from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Everything fine and no error.

But users reported ,who added this mailbox via Outlook 2007 as delagate, cannot search mail item "Inbox" folder directly. Message appeared "Client Operation failed". But they can search e-mails subfolders in Outlook. When they reach the OWA, they can search and find e-mails as well. No problem.

We have a doubt about some mail items that may be corrupted and caused this issue.

What I did for this mailbox:

1. Outlook profile removed and recreated again. not working!

2. Mailbox was exported-imported as PST file and connected this mailbox to a user that doesnt have mailbox. not working!

3. We have tried different Outlook client, but same error in Outlook 2013.

4. We have tried different Windows 7 client, but same error.

5. Outlook 2007 logging was enabled. I cannot find useful and meaningful things in the log files.

Exchange version : Exchange 2013 CU10

Outlook version : Outlook 2007 SP3-12.0.6691.5000

Only one way to resolve this issue is  moving mailbox back to Exchange 2007 and After this, users are able to search and find any e-mails items as a healthy. They are happy while searching Exchange 2007, but recently we have uninstallation plan for Exchange 2007.

Any suggestions will be appreciated.

Thank you.

Exchange 2013 AutoDiscover issue 401 Unathorized

Hi All,

We have configured a Hybrid Exchange 2013 CU11 and Office 365 connection. Changes have been made to the autodiscover internaluri, which reflects the company name i.e. https://autodscover.company.com.au, now internal clients can't access their mailboxes. We are using a wildcard cert *.companyLongName.com.au

We also have new domain registered companyshortname.com.au again with a wildcard cert

The srv records on the internal dns reflect these changes as well

Below is the dns output

Any help on this urgently would be great.
