Duplicates happening on delegates Mailboxes

$

Hello,

I was wondering if someone can help me.

One of my company's PA is getting duplicates every time she accepts or cancels a meeting no matters whether is external or internal.

We had a 2007 environment and it started to happen after upgrading to Exchange 2013.

I've gone through the process of elimination and is not the .ost as I have recreated the profile and we have a local/Citrix environment with Office 2010 and Office 2013 in Citrix. It happens in both of them so I presume it must be something regarding permissions or a command.

Any advise?

Thanks a lot in advance

Cannot edit contacts in Outlook 2016 running in Office 365 environment

I am working on my 2nd new Surface book with fully up-to-date updates.  I have Office 365 Business and am running outlook 2016.  When I want add a contact by right clicking on the senders address, I am unable to edit or add any information to the contact dialogue box that comes up.  It appears that if I just save just the email in the contact (since I am not able to manually add anything else,) and then view the saved contacts in Business Card view, I can click on the business card and then am able to edit it.  This takes several extra steps and seems REALLY stupid--what's up with this Microsoft?

Exchange 2013 CU9 Compatibility

$

Hi,

I want to ask if Exchange 2013 CU9 (Build 15.0.1104.5) still is compatible with Outlook 2010 SP2???

Microsoft tells that Outlook 2010 with SP1 and last updates is compatible with Exchange 2013 http://social.technet.microsoft.com/wiki/contents/articles/845.outlook-versions-supported-by-exchange-200720102013online.aspx

I have a Test Lab and Outlook 2010 SP2 works fine when in Exchange 2013 has not installed CU9, but after CU9 installation, Outlook 2010 SP2 cannot connect anymore and holds on Trying to connect...

We are migrating from Exchange 2010 to Exchange 2013 but we still have a few machines running Windows XP SP3 and Outlook 2010 SP2, so if we cannot connect those machines to Exchange 2013 we neither can do the descommission process of Exchange 2010.

If Exchange 2013 CU9 does not support Outlook 2010 SP2, is there any way to uninstall CU9 on the Exchage 2013 servers?

I will appreciate any advices.

Best regards,

Manuel

User logged into more than one PC with Outlook open = Does not connect

Have a support ticket open with Microsoft but not getting anywhere fast

One of the issues we have is that if someone logs into more than one PC and opens their Outlook the latest login does not connect to Exchange

We have tried increasing RCAMaxConcurrency to no avail. Clients are Outlook13 but also same happens on 16. They connect using RPC over HTTP

Any ideas? The same issue manifests itself when opening other mailboxes you have access to including your inline archive(you will get a connection error message)

Any ideas?

Outlook prompting for old disconnected mailbox password

$

I added a secondary exchange mailbox to my Outlook 2010, then disconnected that mailbox a couple days later.

My primary account works just fine and never prompts for a password, but the secondary account is still prompting for a password, even though I am not connected to that mailbox anymore.

I have checked the properties of the secondary mailbox on the exchange server, and noting in the mailbox properties mentions my primary email account. I also deleted my Outlook profile on my PC and let it recreate a new profile, but I am still prompted about every 5 minutes to enter the password for the secondary mailbox.

Does anyone know how to break the connection between the secondary email account and my Outlook?

Outlook 2010 freezes when viewing its calendars offline ...

Hello.

I was told by Vardhaman S  to post in here about my issue from http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/outlook-2010-freezes-when-viewing-its-calendars/03152cea-fe74-41ee-866a-700282082bc4 :

Why does my updated Office 2010 Pro's Outlook freezes (not responding) when I try to check my calendars when not on my work's network (VPN)?  I just wanted to view my downloaded local calendars offline quickly on my 64-bit W7 EE SP1 laptop/notebook. All softwares have their updates too.

Thank you in advance. :)

How can I get my Outlook 2013 To-Do List to sync to my iphone 6s Reminders in the same order?

$

I use Outlook 2013 and it syncs to my iphone via an exchange server.  I use the "To-Do Bar" to keep track of all of my to-do lists: my client, marketing, administrative, personal and other tasks.  I don't use the "Tasks" per se, in that I don't enter them as "Tasks", but just use the To-Do bar that is visible on the right side of the screen when using email.  And, I don't ever assign start or end dates, etc.  My priorities are always changing and I like the ease of using the To-Do bar to move things around based on changing priorities.  However, I cannot find any way to get my To-Do list to sync to my iphone Reminders in the same order.  They show up in a random order and the list (which has 236 items on it currently) is useless to me from my phone.  It is extremely frustrating.  I have been exploring other to do and Task apps, but before I abandon what I've known for over 10 years, I wanted to see if I could find anyone out there who knows a work around or a trick to this.  I have googled this and otherwise researched it, and it doesn't seem like anyone else on the planet uses To-Do bar in Outlook this way.  I always find my way to articles where people say that it's easy to sync your Tasks to Reminders on the iphone, but there is never mention of the To-Do list, or of any issues with the order being different.  Is there some way I can assign an actual date or something to each task in Outlook that would make them show up in the correct order in Reminders?  Is there some other way to get the syncing to send it in Outlook To-Do list order to my Reminders on the phone?  I'm desperate.  I hope I'm explaining this correctly.  My To-Do list is so crucial to my productivity and I cannot have a truly mobile office on my phone if my To Do list is unusable.  Help????

I can't send emails

I use Office 365 through GoDaddy for my email. A mass email was sent out last week to a bad list and now my email has been flagged as a spam sender. Below is the email message I get when I try to send an email. How can I get removed from the spam list for MS?

Your message couldn't be delivered because you weren't recognized as a valid sender. The most common reason for this is that your email address is suspected of sending spam and it's no longer allowed to send messages outside of your organization. Contact your email admin for assistance.

Assigned Retention Tags not showing in OWA 2013

$

Hello,

I implemented several retention tags (default and folder) bundled them to a policy and assigned it to a mailbox. In Outlook (2016) the applied tags are showing nicely above the message but there’s nothing displayed in Outlook Web App that a tag has been applied to the message. It would be just fair also to make this visible to our OWA users as well. Do I have to enable the visibility of the tags somewhere separately? The Exchange version currently is 2013 CU 11.

Thanks

Robert

Public Calendar not accessible

I have just upgraded from Office 2010 to Office 2016. I am having problems with my Public Calendar, which is shared via the Public Folders.

In Outlook 2010, everything was fine. I was able to add the calendar to favourites and then see it in my Calendar view.

I can also see the calendar and its contents via OWA.

When I opened up Outlook 2016, I navigated to the public folder, it cannot be opened. However, since I saved it as favourite, it appeared under favourite folder. In Calendar view, the calendar appears but cannot be "checked". Meaning I cannot see its contents. When I try to "check" the calendar, an error appears.

I am not having any connectivity issues as I tried this since 2-3 days ago and I am able to receive/send my mails and surf the web and OWA.

One user's contacts do not load in OWA 2013

Only one user in this system has this problem. Every other user is able to load their contacts. When using Outlook or an ActiveSync device, it works fine, but on OWA, it says "Your request can't be completed right now. Please try again later." I did find that it works fine under the light version (using the layout=light variable).

One factor to this might be the fact that the mailbox has existed since 2005. It has been migrated from Exchange 2003, to 2007, and now to 2013. I suspect that recreating the mailbox and moving its content will correct it, but I'm hoping for something less invasive and less impacting on the user.

Exchange 2013 not returning OAB URL Issue

$

We have implemented our Exch2013 servers 2 server 1 dag w/ 2 databases. We are using split DNS.

We have only moved over 2 users to the 2013 environment and ran into an issue with Address book not updating. Everything else checks out fine.

What I have found so far is the Autodiscover is not returning an OAB URL.

Test-outlookwebservice gives me this with a verbose:

"VERBOSE: [22:01:59.504 GMT] Test-OutlookWebServices : Autodiscover response:Microsoft.Exchange.Management.Tasks.ServiceValidatorException: The Autodiscover response did not return a URL forOffline Address Book. Response details:"

Get-clientaccessserver shows the autodiscover urls correctly.

Get-offlineaddressbook shows external/internal URls correctly and Webdistriution is enabled.

I have tried removing and rebuilding the autodiscover virtual directory based on some other troubleshooting I have found, but it is still not working.

Any ideas?

I can't create an email account in Outlook 2013 for my exchange server

$

Have tried many things on this issue.

I have a new tablet PC running Windows 8. I am able to connect to my Exchange Server account using Windows 8 Mail, no problem but when I have tried to set up an account for Outlook 2013 to connect to the same Exchange Server using exactly the same login information I cannot get it to connect. I simply get the message that the Exchange Server is unavailable.

I've been able to connect a variety of other devices to the same Exchange Server account without any problem - iPhones, Windows Phone, iPads, etc, etc all without problem. It's just this device and Outlook 2013 seems to be the issue. From checking various forums seems this is not an isolated issue but I've not been able to find a useful solution so far. Have deleted the user profiles and .ost files, switched off caching etc, all to no avail.

One key difference between the account information required by Windows Mail and Outlook is that in the Windows Mail system I am prompted to enter my domain information. I know this is critical from the information provided to me by our network administration team but there is nowhere in the Outlook account setup process where I can enter my domain info.

Closest I've been able to get to success is to use the manual account creation process and select the Exchange ActiveSync option - this gets me to the point where I'm prompted for my username and password info but it fails at this step because I am connected to a local domain (the domain account for the PC) and my user name and password are not accepted. There is nowhere in this login process that I can find where I can enter the correct domain info.

Any ideas on a solution would be very much appreciated - I use Outlook extensively in my work and whilst the Windows 8 Mail system is good, it doesn't have the level of functionality I need.

Many thanks

Wayne.

Cannot forward or reply to emails using iPhone

I am facing a strange issue with my iPhone mail application. For example:

If user1 sends an email to user2 and user2 forwards the email to user3 and user3 wants to forward the email to user4 using his iPhone he gets an error saying "Cannot Send Mail, An error occurred while delivering this message." Now if user3 removes the content which user1 has typed and leaves the content which user2 has typed then he can send the email successfully, if he removes the content which user2 has typed and leaves the content which user1 has typed then again same error is displayed.

If user3 selects another account to send the email the email is sent successfully without removing any content.

I think this has something to do which how iPhone or Exchange Server does the encoding of the email before sending it.

Please help me to solve this issue.

Regards,

Faisal

Outlook room finder does not display available rooms when meeting start time doesn't fall on a half hour

We are using the Exchange 2013 server together with Outlook 2010.

Recently we have noticed that if a meeting does not begin on a half-hour (for example, a meeting beginning at 9:15) the Outlook room finder will not display any available meeting rooms. If the meeting start time is changed to fall on a half hour (for example, 9:00 or 9:30) the room finder will display rooms. We are unsure of why this is.

Any information or advice would be appreciated.
