Why is Outlook putting "MicrosoftAccount\" before my email account on Outlook password prompt?

Outlook is auto filling a MicrosoftAccount\ prefix to my Username/email on the initial password prompt. I can't sign in without manually removing it. 

I'm connecting to an Exchange server using Outlook 2016 on a Windows 10 machine with a Microsoft Account, not local account.  Whenever I start Outlook, my email address is reported as "MicrosoftAccount\myemail@mydomain.com" (where myemail@mydomain.com is the email address for the Exchange server).

I have to erase the MicrosoftAccount\ from my email address, click OK and then I get logged on.

Is there a way to stop it from automatically adding that to my email/username?

Outlook 2016 cannot create new accounts

I am using Windows 10 with the latest updates installed. When I installed Outlook 2016 on my home computer in Nov. 2015, I was able to automatically create an account with my university's email system. On Dec. 8, 2015 it stopped receiving and sending mail. I deleted the account in Outlook and now I cannot recreate it, getting the message "an encrypted connection to your server is not available." The unencrypted try does not work, either, "cannot connect to server." The manual settings do not work either, "time out".

I have two other Outlook accounts that are working fine. I have another new account on my website, hosted by Network Solutions, that I cannot access either, receiving the same error messages. But my other older account on a different website hosted by Network Solutions works fine in Outlook 2016.

Why can I not set up the university and website accounts using the automatic set-up?

Windows 10 email problem

I took my computer to a Microsoft store so they could upgrade it to windows 10, well there was some problems with my software so they cleaned my hard drive and reinstalled windows 7 and then windows 10.       Now I can't get my outlook mail, I have it on a server that belong to a networking guy and last night he logged on to my computer and he couldn't get it work. He said his server exchange software is 2010 and maybe outlook is 2016 he didn't know if that might be the problem.     It could be caused by a domain I have, my computer guy is checking on that today.    The problem I have with that is my email was working fine before I took It to get upgraded.      We are connecting with exchange.

POP3 account failing to send external emails

I am stuck here,

i am failing to send external email using pop3 account with error

 

     fosterc@yahoo.com on 20/12/2015 13:24

           Server error: '550 5.7.1 Unable to relay'

but am able to send local email using pop3 account.

am also able to send internal and external email using OWA and Outlook Account

 

Please help;

Book Meetingrooms by right clicking in the Room Calendar

Hi

I have got a request regarding the way we book meeting rooms from Outlook, and I am unable to think of a solution for this.

Request: We want to book meeting rooms by right clicking in the room calendar, and select "New Meeting".

Challenge: When we do this now the room is not booked as it should be.

  1. The Room it self becomes the Meeting Organizer
  2. The Meeting is placed in the Meeting Room Calendar Shared Folder (instead of in my personal Calendar)

Example on how it should be:

As you can see, the meeting is now in the correct Calendar.



And as you can see below I am now the Meeting Organizer

When I right click the Room Calendar and create a meeting request:

As you can see, the meeting is now in the wrong calendar.

And also the Organizer of the meeting ir wrong.

Solution:

If anyone can think of a solution to my problem or challenge, please let me know. This has been bothering me for too long already :)

getting sync log emails repeatedly, while am disconnected with exchange server.

can some one help me in this issue.......

how can i stop receiving this emails?

Room Finder shows available rooms, but not all the time or for everyone

Room Finder shows available rooms, but not all the time or for everyone.  Users on Outlook 2010.  Exchange 2010 (sorry, I didn't find a 2010 forum, but I'm desperate).

Brand new room list (C) and rooms (c1, c2, c3...) created months ago (OAB has been updated, even manually on affeted PCs). GAL also update, just in case. 

User #1 has full access to the shared calendar.

User #2 has Publishing Editor to the shared calendar.

1. User #1 opens an existing meeting (X) from a shared calendar (not a room). 

2. There are people invited to the meeting already. 

3. User selects Room List C. 

Room Finder shows no rooms available.

4. User opens the rooms in her calendar view.  She can clearly see there are rooms available at meeting X date/time.

Now, User #2 repeats steps 1 – 3 and Room Finder works fine.

Also, User #1 opens a different meeting from the same shared calendar and room finder shows room available just fine.

In Summary: Room Finder will show no rooms available only for a number of users, at random dates/times, if they have opened an existing meeting from a shared calendar.

Outlook Connect and Disconnects repeatedly on Exchange 2013

Hi,

We are getting ready for our transition from Exchnange 2010 to Exchange 2013. Exchange is currently running in coexistence in our test environment and everything seems to run fine. 1 Dag on two servers running Exchange 2013 CU10, 1 Dag running two Exchange 2010 SP3 RU11.

Outlook connects and disconnect randomly on mailboxes on both Ex2010 and Ex2013. Sometimes not for several hours, sometimes a few times per hour. I happens with both Outlook 2007 Sp3 and Outlook 2010 Sp2 both with latest fixes via Windows Update.

While investigating the problem I ran into https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/2962915. The title resembles the problem and the first symptom matches my problem but the other three don't.

Eventlogs are pretty clean despite some events about performance counters.

I tried failing over the databases

By disabling the one real server at the time on the load balancer ( Cisco ACE ) to direct all traffic to one server to see it made a difference. it did gave the any different result than having both nodes operational.

Does anybody recognize this or have a clue ?

Logged in as same domain account. Creating a mail profile on each one.

Works on one and not the other.

Test email autoconfiguration works fine. OOF url is accessible. Not sure what to try next....

Help with AutoFill and cache

Hi, 

We are currently moving away gradually from Domino to Exchange 2013. Both with the same ACME.CA Domain.  For users that are still on Domino, I've created, in Exchange, Temporary Contacts objects, with their e-mail address.  I have a send connector that sends those to a SmartHost which is the Domino server.  Everything works very best.

The only issue I have, is when I migrate a user from Domino to Exchange.  Let's say user John, with the e-mail john@acme.ca.  The way I do it, is to delete his temporary contact object, kick start Binary Tree(Our migration utility) (Which then creates a user mailbox with John's user active directory objects) with the same e-mail john@acme.com.

So far so good, except that after the migration, everyone that wrote to John while he was only a mail Contact, can't wrote to him now, as they are greeted with the error

Is there anyway, the weekend I'll migrate users, to someway refresh that autofill cache on clients?

I want to restore the exchange Server 2010 mailbox database on the new server if disaster occurs.
I want to be ready if the problem occurred.
I have read more about the subject of this problem, but I did not understand the way good for my language is not good.
I need someone to make it simple for me (give or steps) to follow them

Global Address List of Outlook- not replicating

Hi,

I need your help in order to resolve one of issue related to Active Directory. 

I made the changes in designation of a user in AD but it did not replicate in Outlook, now I noticed whatever changes made in AD, it is not replicating in Global Address List of Outlook. 


Normally it takes a day to replicate in outlook but its been more than 2 weeks. Error message I am receiving continously in AD  event viewer is below;

Please assist.

Tracking email headers

Hello,

This is the first time to these forums. I am trying to understand this section of the email header  from Outlook / Exchange (as it relates to tracking a potentially compromised computer).

X-MS-Exchange-Organization-AuthMechanism: 04

If needed, I can post the entire header. I do understand needing the entire header for tracking an email, but in the case, I'm mostly curious about this section. If you can point to any forums I missed or websites that, I would appreciate that as well.

HTTP 500

Hi!

We have just installed two exchange 2013 VMs without any load balancer and DAG configuration. We are able to open OWA on both the servers but if we shut down Server1, OWA shows HTTP 500 Error after entering username and password on Server2.

Any Suggestions?

Exchange 2013 Contacts Folders too far to the right...

A user has reported this weird issue. His mouse had a "spasm" and resulted in part of the contacts folders being moved out of the screen as illustrated:

How do I drag the All Contacts part back to the position that 'All Rooms' is at? This only occurs in one mailbox.

Outlook 2013/2016 and Public Folders

i've recently migrate public folders from 2010 to 2013, now i have this issue:

from OWA i see all public folders and i can work with them

from outlook client i can't se any public folders

any idea or suggestion?==

Hi,

I am working for an orgainisation as an IT Engineer. We issue a new laptop to old user and when he had completed his first time outlook configuration its started updating inbox and stopped at 1B. After that we restarted and reconfigured his outlook and ost resp. multiple times at different systems but it started updation every time from initials and stopped at 1byte. Please suggest what to do aur any hotfix available for the this.
