to here, this is the issue I am experiencing:
This has been intermittently happening to me since I upgraded to Office 2016 via my 365 subscription but the search functionality has always resumed working. Unfortunately since Monday of this week I've had no search capabilities and in this instance is seems
to have no intention of returning.
Here's what I've attempted in order to resolve:
1) Rebuild of the index
File - Options - Search - Indexing Options - Advanced Options - Rebuild
It tells me the index has completed after only a few seconds but still no search.
2) Removal / adding of MS Outlook as a location to index
File - Options - Search - Indexing Options - Modify - Uncheck Outlook - OK
Then
File - Options - Search - Indexing Options - Modify - Check Outlook - OK
3) Turn off then back on Cached Exchange Model
File - Account Settings - Change Email Account uncheck box - Restart Outlook
Then
File - Account Settings - Change Email Account Check box - Restart Outlook
4) Delete OST file from AppData, allowing Outlook to create a new one.
5) Delete Mail Profile, allowing Outlook to create a new one.
One step 5 everything seemed to be re-indexed with the process taking maybe an hour to complete but I still cannot search for items or use the Find Related searches from within the right-click menu.
Does anyone have a suggestion on what I might try next.
