Outlook anywhere still pointing to exchange server 2010 in exchnage 2013 co-existence

Dear All,

We are in the process of migrating exchange server 2010 to 2013,when i run the below command 

Get-OutlookAnywhere | flservername,externalclientauthenticationmethod,internalclientauthenticationmethod,iisauthentionmmethod

i can see my exchange server 2010 but not the exchange 2013.

i am not wrong the output for this command should show my new exchange 2013 CAS servers ,i still have some mailbox in exchange 2010,please let me know what is the correct settings should it be exchange 2010 or 2013 ,and how do i change this settings.

Outlook Displaying DisplayName and Email Address in reply mail after updating Outlook to 15.0.4745.1000

We recently patched out office environment and Outlook updated to version 15.0.4745.1000. Whenever a reply is sent, the previous sender and all of the recipients show below (as expected) but instead of just mail address, DisplayName and EmailAddress properties are shown. If sending to a DL, of say 70 users, this expands and shows all 70 users addresses and display names clogging up the feed - it looks like the below - 



does anyone know how to ensure that outlook only shows either the mail address or the display name?

OWA access during certain times of day

We have restricted OWA access to certain users (hourly users).  Is it possible to allow OWA to these users only during business hours and from the internal network only?  We want to continue to provide external access to our salaried users without any restrictions.

Chinese Name Search Issues

We have mostly users with Chinese name, i.e. 3 words, e.g. Tan Ah Kow, with Last Name as "Tan", and First Name as "Ah Kow". When Outlook users search for "Tan", all names with "Tan" will appear. If search for "Ah", same results. But if search for "Kow", nothing will be found. Any way to configure such that search will look for all the words?

Everytime I start Outlook 2013, my rules in OWA get re-ordered: Rules that only appear in OWA move to the bottom, or the ordering is not preserved.

Some of my rules only appear in OWA (in Outlook it says "There are rules created with a different version of Outlook or Outlook Web Access that are not shown").

That's OK since i don't want to manage my rules from Outlook at all- I prefer OWA for that so that my rules will be applied even if i use some other mobile client.

The problem is that every time i start outlook, it re-orders my rules so that the rules only OWA knows, move to the bottom of the list (as seen in OWA).

My rules depend on the order...

How do i get this mess fixed?

Up-normal behavior on login to OWA or Outlook

Hi, 

I have very strange error on my Exchange Org - we created some users and create mailboxes for them but randomly when some users log in to their mailboxes (using OWA or Outlook) they are not able to do.

They got an error from OWA telling Something wrong :(

There no common factor between them (different OUs, different Mailboxes DBs, different date of creation)

i tried the common troubleshooting steps

also i created new DBs also i got the same issue

Can any one help me

Hi,

Using Exchange 2013 CAS servers in Loadbalancer high availability setup configuration.

Our users are having intermittent OWA access issue when they accessing it from IE and Chrome browsers?

Missing Characters in Mail

Have no idea why this happens. A screenshot is attached.

Hello All.

I am all of a sudden experiencing an issue with Outlook 2013 being unable to connect to Exchange Server 2013 via IMAP.

The laptop is running Windows 7 Home and as such is not a domain member hence the need for IMAP.

From the Outlook side when setting up the account, it only says "A secure connection to the server cannot be established." on the incoming mail server, but the outgoing checks out OK.

I checked and re-checked all the settings several times on the server. Blogs and forums mostly cover Lync issues with other errors including this one, but nothing with the exact same description.

The setup is "Exchange Server 2013 on a Windows Server 2012 Standard" SSL 993, TLS 587.

OWA and everything else is functioning properly.

Custom fonts in OWA

Hi there.

We have a group of users who use a custom font.

The font in question is installed on the users' computers (C:\Windows\Fonts)

We tried to set the font in the OWA client but were unable to.

From OWA, we went to the options and clicked on Settings.

In the "email signature" and "message format" sections we have a drop down with a list of fonts but the custom font is not in the list.

How can we add the font to the list?

Full error: Error while archiving folder "Top of Information Store" in store "*** Email address is removed for privacy ***" You are attempting to archive your data to a Outlook 97-2002 data file (.pst) which is a non-unicode data file. To preserve multilingual data, you must choose a Unicode data file, such as the outlook data file (.pst).

Configuration

User running on Windows Server 2008/Office 2010 has been getting this error since being setup with email a few weeks ago. It's a new profile. The Outlook configuration is set so the Exchange mailbox is the default and autoarchive runs every day to move items from the mailbox to an archive.pst.

Things I've tried

The .pst file was created new with Outlook 2010. I even created another new one and migrated everything over, ensuring it was not in the older 97-2002 format. But she continues to receive this message.

I have viewed the contents of "Outlook today" on the mailbox and there are no emails there (in case user somehow was able to move an outlook item to the root of the information store.

And also have tried recreating her 2008 profile (even though it was already new).

I am lost! Any ideas?

Delete Button Disabled in Outlook 2010 with Exchange 2013

I recently switched from a 3rd party mail software to Microsoft Exchange.  I have had some users ask me why the Delete button is disabled.  I didn't enable any special policy to cause this, and the Delete key on the keyboard will delete messages.  The disabled Delete button I am referring to is in the Home ribbon and the right-click menu for selected e-mail(s).  Is this standard behavior for Exchange, and can it be changed?

Can't Add Gmail Accounts to Microsoft Outlook 2013

I have Microsoft Outlook 2013. Years ago I was able to set up my main gmail account to dump into Outlook. I now have reason to have 3 different gmail accounts. However, I have tried repeatedly to add those new gmail accounts to Outlook. Each time I am rejected. Every time I receive a notice stating "Your IMAP server wants to alert you to the following: Please log in via your web browser. Then it suggests I look at https://support.google.com/mail/accounts/answer/ 78754.

Essentially this webpage just tells me Gmail doesn't think the security of Microsoft Outlook 2013 is up to their standards. I don't really care what Gmail thinks. It's my account. I want it to dump into Outlook. I take the risk. Enough said. So, I use the steps they offer and try to set my account to 'accept' the request from Outlook. However, even though I follow their directions, I still keep getting the same error message.

I've tried restarting the program - everything works the same. I've tried both gmail accounts. Same issue.

Can anyone help me out here?

Shared mailbox search result issue

User A did a email search using Advanced search function in a shared mailbox and User B also did a Advanced search from the same shared mailbox, then user A's search result changed to user B's search query. Any fix for this issue.

Exchange server 2013 and both of them are using outlook online mode and having full permission in that shared mailbox. Accessing as a additional mailbox.

Shared exchange 2013 mailbox having synch issues using Outlook 2010 client

Hello:

I have a shared mailbox setup months for 3 users using Outlook 2010 in cached mode. All have full rights to the shared mailbox. This was setup months ago without issue. Yesterday something occurred that has caused the Outlook clients to have synch issues with the shared mailbox. For example:

One of the users deleted 200 emails from the shared mailbox. The other users see the mail message from their client. I added one of the user's mail profile to another machine to see if the message that were deleted would be downloaded locally. They were.

Quick click categories that are added to specific messages are not retained. They are there for a minute or so and then they disappear.

Flags that are added to specific messages are not retained. They also are there for a minute or minute or so and then they also disappear.

Messages that sent from the shared mail address are not retained in any Sent Folder. They are however routed out.

The client will sometimes display a message that states This item was not completely updated during the last server synchronization. Click here to review other versions.

There is a link to View local failures and it is there that you see the changes that were made to the Quick clicks and flags.

All was working 48 hours ago.

All feedback welcomed.

meeting requests sent to outlook.com received as blank emails

When I receive meeting request emails created on an outlook 2013 client connected to Exchange, the email body text is blank.  Meeting requests from other outlook.com clients are receive fine with the body and controls (accept, reject, etc) work fine.  Is there a configuration change that needs to made?
