Hello ,

As of two weeks ago, users began noticing a problem while managing their respective groups as owners via the OWA on Chrome, Safari, and Firefox. We are also unable to modify email addresses within the ECP using the same browsers. IE works fine, of course, but the others aren't working at all. This is a major issue because our school district is primarily Mac based. I have not been able to troubleshoot the exact cause of the changes here.
I have a screenshot I took, as well as the text file of the error. Any help would be kindly appreciated.
Client InformationMy environment is this:
Running Outlook 2013 (as part of Office 2013 Suite) connecting to Exchange Server 2010
Both cached and non-cached modes
Connecting using RPC
With both existing profile for last 1yr+ and with a new profile
Outlook v 15.0.4649.1001
The issue I'm having is a room/resource calendar that I was once able to see I can't anymore.
Running Outlook 2010 as the same user from a different computer works fine.
OWA works as well.
Other calendars work
Running Outlook 2013 vs 15.0.4420.1017 also works on a different computer!!!
So this seems to be an issue with my particular version of Outlook, and I did read where a security update seems to have gotten in the way (regression test lately?) but a December patch of 2013 was supposed to fix that. I didn't specifically install the patch, rather I downloaded from my vendor the latest available version they had.
So is there a patch that will work for me. The only one I've come across tells me it isn't for my machine.
Thanks,
Joe
Hello all,
This is something that is occurring for one of my clients, and it has now occurred three times in the last 6 months. I can always set the count back to correct by unchecking use cached exchange mode, and doing a sync with the server. Again, I know how to fix this. What I am looking for is an underlying reason to keep this from happening again.
What causes this? The environment is this: Office 365 Enterprise (I know this may be in the wrong forum, but according to microsoft the technologies, including screens you see, are the same between Hosted Exchange 2013 and Enterprise O365), Windows 7, Outlook 2013. They do have good internet, so if the answer is leaving cached exchange mode off, I could implement that, but don't really want to. I do not think this user gets his emails anywhere other then the computer he works on, but am not fully sure, and am not sure how not using cached exchange mode will work in this case.
I appreciate all suggestions, but again, am really looking to find out what causes this to occur. I have done some reading on other forums, and in this forum, but it seems all there is to find is how to fix the issue after it has occurred, not keep it from occurring. Thank you all in advance.
Hi guy's
Still have problem with :
Secretary manage 3 calender (full permissions). when she make a change to a meeting and sends the update to the recipients, they get the new meeting request and it updates on their calendar with the correct time and date. Then for a brief time or past day the senders calendar will show the change then disappear and the original time and date pop back up again on all users get the meeting.
Also with she make a meeting to one of member, and on member calender she moved the meeting to top. just the member know what have in this day (the member dont participate) the meeting back to original hour. before exchange 2013 its worked fine.
Time zone on all pc's same, date/hour correctly.
Issue 2, secretary maked meeting some days before dayligth off, on outlook calender show the correct time, but on iphone or androide o.s, show one hour before.
Issue 3, secretary make new meeting send to membre she had full permission, when she send they not receive the meeting.
Ps: all calender members shared and all on outlook secretary. she had about 4 ou 7 calender's she manage.
any help will be welcome

I am running an Outlook 2013 client against a Ex2010 server.
One really annoying thing, is that the Check Names (Ctrl+K) keyboard shortcut is not working. If I manually click the icon it works. Any idea of why this is not Working?
I checked the virtual directory settings through powershell and xlsm files are in the allowed file types list. We don't do the public/private setting so everyone connects through the public option. I've tried adding the OWA URL to intranet and trusted websites.
The xlsm attachment icon is greyed out and I get the "Access to this attachment is blocked" message when clicking on the icon. What am I missing?
Hello All,
We have very weired problem in our environment. Our environment consists of 10 Exchange 2013 multi-role servers in Primary DC with Wind 2012 OS and 5 servers in Secondary DC with Wind 2012. We have F5 LB & Cisco f/w
Sometime back users reported the outlook disconnection issue and we've implemented following settings in the environment based on MS support team recommendation
1) Configure the Idle session time out on the Network devices to 2 hours.
2) Add the registry key “MinimumConnectionTimeout” with value as 120 seconds as per below article on all the Exchange 2013 Servers. Once this registry key is added, we need to restart the Server for the changes to take effect..
Path: HKLM\Software\Policies\Microsoft\Windows NT\RPC
Type: REG_DWORD
Name: MinimumConnectionTimeout
Value: 120 (Decimal)
3) Add the KeepAliveTime registry key on all the Exchange 2013 Servers to reduce the Keep alive from default 2 hours to 5 minutes. Once this registry key is added, we need to restart the Server for the changes to take effect.
Path: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SYSTEM\CurrentControlSet\Services\TCPIP\Parameters
Value name: KeepAliveTime
Type: REG_DWORD
Value: 300000 (Decimal)
This value controls how frequently TCP tries to verify that an idle connection is still intact by sending a keep-alive packet. If the remote computer is still reachable, it acknowledges the keep-alive packet. The recommended value setting is 300,000 (5 minutes).
After applying these settings we've started facing the ACTIVESYNC issue in the environment. We've changed the keep alive setting in exchange server to 29 mins and now activesync issue is solved but outlook disconnect issue started
IS THERE ANYONE who can recommend what is the correct KEEP ALIVE value should be kept in such environment
Our environment has 27K mailboxes totally spread across 50 DBs apprx
Appreciate experts help here !!!

End users using OWA on Exchange 2013 CU5. Doesn't matter what browser or any other client-side information. I can give myself delegate access to various mailboxes and come up with the same error.
They compose a new message. Type the name in the To.. field and the application pops the drop-down with the magnifying glass that reads "Search Contacts & Directory". When you click, it states in the same box "Can't connect. Please try again later."
Troubleshooting steps, thus far:
Nothing works. Has anyone else seen this and found a fix for it? It has to be something simple that I am missing.
Hi,
We have Exchange 2013 and Exchange 2010 in our network. Our OWA is configured on Exchange 2013.
We need to disable the autocomplete of recipient email address for all OWA users.
Kindly let me know how we can do the same.
Thanks
Amit
Hi Guys,
Need some timely advise.
Windows Server 2012 R2 and Exchange Server 2013
The exchange server has been working fine until we upgrade to Exchange CU6.
The scenario is this, we have an existing mail server using one domain name example: mail.domain.com
we added another one to use webmail.domain.com, everything was ok the only difference is when we added webmail.domain.com, when users connect to it it is still untrusted due to no certificates yet. We didnt add additional virtual directories but we were able to access OWA for both domains.
After installing CU6 somehow OWA broke, not sure if it is CU6 fault but so far that is the only change done and adding the certificate for webmail.domain.com. ECP works fine for both domains
I have recreated the virtual directories for both ECP and OWA but to no avail. I have read somewhere to also update the cas file and make sure that authentication are ok.
Authentication for both ecp is currently using fba, basic.
When checked under IIS logs, i dont see the error bad request 400 at all.
Here is what the logs say:
2014-09-18 08:05:38 192.168.1.45 POST /owa/auth.owa &CorrelationID=<empty>;&cafeReqId=fb06e607-724d-4d54-9439-7df7f5f79434; 443 domain\admin 42.61.32.195 Mozilla/5.0+(Windows+NT+6.1)+AppleWebKit/537.36+(KHTML,+like+Gecko)+Chrome/37.0.2062.120+Safari/537.36 https://mail.domain.com/owa/auth/logon.aspx?replaceCurrent=1&url=https%3a%2f%2fmail.domain.com%2fowa%2f%23bO%3d1 302 0 0 78
tried creating a new cas server but no luck.
Any help would be appreciated.
I was referred to this forum from http://answers.microsoft.com/en-us/office/forum/office_2010-outlook/maintain-focus-on-email-message-when-navigating-to/1b678cc1-4e17-46d9-b726-620bc9b0d141
I have my email grouped by category and sorted by date. Whenever, I navigate to Outlook Journal and back to email, the focus shifts to the bottom most message. I shift back an forth millions of times a day, and it is getting maddening having to pan back to the messages of interest (not to mention the time that takes). I see this as a handicap in the Outlook app with very real costs. Is there any way to maintain focus on the same message when navigating away from email and back? I don't want to open separate windows for Journal and email because I'm already trying to avoid being overwhelmed by windows.
I want Users to be notified when their meeting conflicts with another meeting as soon as they try to book it.
I don't want automatic approval, no delegates, just simply want them to use their Scheduling Assistant to see when they can book and if it overlaps another meeting it will instantly tell them.
I don't want to select any recipients in the Resource In-Policy Requests or the Resource Out-of-Policy Requests. No Registry Key edit either! Allow conflicting meeting requests is unchecked.
PLEASE HELP!!!!!
You can't send a message on behalf of this user unless you have permission to do so. Please make sure you're sending on behalf of the correct sender, or request the necessary permission. If the problem continues, please contact your helpdesk.
I have a user that continues to get the error above when she tries to send an email from a shared mailbox, where she has been granted send as + full mailbox rights. I have tried to resolve the issue by re-creating the .ost file. However this only works for about 2 weeks and the error comes back. I have also deleted the OAB & cleared cache, however this only works for about 2 weeks before the issue re-appears. Has anyone out there experienced this before? Can anyone think of a solution to my problem?
Thank you

Swing migration from Exchange 2003 to 2010 behind TMG 2010 SP1.
After configuring the two servers for coexistence, OWA and ActiveSync work just fine as long as the mailbox resides on the Exchange 2003 Server. If the mailbox resides on the Exchange 2010 Server, the page cannot be displayed because the URL in the address box is pointing to the INTERNAL address of 2010 server.
Internally this works just fine. But as the address is not available from the Internet, user simply receive an error.
Everything else appears to be working just fine. Mail flow. Public folder access. We're not looking at a critical situation here. But, I can't proceed with the migration until I can solve this.
I've searched high and low for articles that address my situation, but I have not been successful in finding a solution matching my situation.
I would appreciate any insight.

Hi, I have fresh exchange 2013 servers installed, the connecting clients connect using outlook
anywhere (non domain joined computers).
Most of which are using outlook 2013. Recently a public folder was set up but
the public folder tree is not visible in the outlook 2013 client.
They are visible in outlook 2010 and OWA. Just cannot see them in outlook 2013.
Autodiscover is working and all clients are setting up from outside the network with auto configuration ok.
I can’t seem to find any relevant information about this anywhere, any help would be
appreciated.
Hi all,
I have a problem with saved passwords in Outlook (2010 and 2013 connected to Exchange 2013). A client sometimes loses its password. I used to have similar problems in our LAN. I resolved it with this article http://searchexchange.techtarget.com/answer/Four-reasons-why-Outlook-passwords-are-not-being-saved. But now we have several remote users (connected to our server). And this guide doesn't help anymore. I can start Outlook in a remote location three or four times and everything is ok. But after several attempts it loses its credentials. Are there another problems with saved passwords?

I made numerous templates which are saved correctly.
If I make an addition to the template for example adding the persons name after Dear it will let me send it thinking the changes were accepted but the recipient receives it exactly as how the template was initially saved.
Any work around for this?
The only workaround found was USing CACHED EXCHANGE MODE
I am currently experiencing what seems to be an interesting problem.
I currently have two email accounts with Microsoft. One is being used as an Outlook account, and the other as an Office 365 account. Further, the Outlook account is doubling as my Microsoft Account, which I use to log into my computer and my Windows Phone.
The issue is, they are the exact same email address. And I would like to connect/link them, or merge them in one way or another. My Office 365 account is where all of my emails actually go (Whenever I put my email address into anything, the emails get sent to this account), while the Outlook/Microsoft account shows all my text messages and whatnot. I would like one central place to see everything.
I have tried linking them normally, that is, trying to add a new "connected" account. However, when I type my email address, it says it is a proxy address linking to itself.
Furthermore, I attempted connected to it used IMAP and POP settings. IMAP gave the same error as above, and POP said my information was incorrect (It is NOT incorrect - I checked many times over, logged out and logged back in with the exact credentials - capitalization and everything.
Have I missed something glaringly obvious? Is there anything I can do to merge or connect these two accounts? Any help is much appreciated. Thanks!
