Hello. In a test environment I created a windows 2012 domain and after that I installed exchange 2013 on an member server. at accepted domain, except of company.local, also added company.com. I followed Exchange 2013 Deployment Assistant after installation to the point of certificates. I didn't install any certificates. Also, I deleted the default database created during installation, after creating a new one and transferring all mailboxes to the new one.I used OWA to connect and everything was ok. After that I created a public folder mailbox, and after that I created two public folders, providing full right to the user I do the tests.
After that I used OWA to connect again. Forgot to mention, OWA is used from a lan computer, no out side access. I am connected to the mailbox but public folders don't appear anywhere, and couldn't find any way to add them.
I thought to use outlook 2013. so I installed windows 8 to a client and joined it to the domain. I installed office 2013 and created the outlook account, using autodiscovery.no problem. I Openen outlook 2013 and the mailbox appears ok. Public Folders appear also, as "Public Folders - user@company.gr".
But when I click to expand them, I get the message, after a delay, "Cannot expand the folder. The set of folders cannot be opened. Microsoft Exchange is not available. Either there are network problems or the exchange server is down for maintance, (/o=COMPANY/ou=Exchange Administrative Group(FYDIBOHF23SPDLT)/cn-configuration/cn=servers/cn=2071076e-ed0b-4fb0-93b2-829cc7479223@company.com).
I also noticed that when I go to account setiings, the server is shown as 2071076e-ed0b-4fb0-93b2-829cc7479223@company.com and not server.company.local, even if I type it again. It's "converted" to2071076e-ed0b-4fb0-93b2-829cc7479223@company.com
Any Ideas why I can't see public folders in OWA and the error message in Outlook 2013?
Regards
