Hi,

We use an application called eCopy Sharescan that presents the user with a touch screen interface for scanning documents, at the end of the scan it send the document using MAPI. Recently we upgraded from exchange and office 2003 to Office 2010 & Exchange 2010 on a 2008 R2 server.

Now if a user has outlook open on their desktop and sends an email from the eCopy the job gets stuck in their Sent Items, however it does not send until you open the item in sent items and click send (Sent items don't normally have a send button).

If you close Outlook on the users PC and scan to email then it works fine, so it only occurs with outlook open, the eCopy software looks to be working fine so it appears the issue is related to having outlook open on your desktop and then trying to send an e-mail using MAPI at the same time.

Does anyone have any suggestions as to how we could fix this or investigate the issue further?
