I recently installed a second Exchange 2013 Mailbox and CAS server in our organization, and I'm a little mystified as to why it's behaving the way it is.
Here's some background: We have four AD sites that are all connected via VPN's over wide area networks. Two of the sites have Exchange 2013 servers in them (including the new install), one has 2007, and the other has no Exchange Server. To test my new installation, I moved a mailbox from our existing Exchange 2013 server to the newly installed server in the other site. After the move finished, I used OWA to log in to the mailbox on the new server. Here's the strange part, when I log in, it redirects me to the server that I just moved the mailbox from! I checked to make sure and the mailbox is indeed on the new server, but it appears that for some reason it's being accessed via the old CAS front end. This is not an ideal configuration, as the user using OWA connects to a CAS server outside of their site, and then the mailbox data is dragged over the WAN unnecessarily.
Is this expected behavior? If it is, how can I change it? If it's not, what are some things I can check to remedy the issue?
