I am having trouble as Outlook 2010 stopped connecting to Exchange about five days ago on my desktop computer.
This is not a server problem as I used testexchangeconnectivity.com and all works fine.
Also I can connect Outlook 2010 on my laptop computer without any issues.
I am using Outlook 2010 in Vista OS. This is what I have done so far:
I tried importing part of the registry from my laptop as recommended in a help file, but without success in resolving the problem.
I have tried deleting my Exchange account and resetting it up in the Mail control panel app. However that did not help and autodiscover is not working.
I tried turning off Symantec antivirus and firewall during the autodiscover process but that did not help.
I uninstalled MS Office 2010 and all its patches and then reinstalled it. However that did not help.
I tried running Outlook 2010 in safe mode (run outlook.exe /safe) and this helped as then autodiscover is working and the account was reestablished. However if I run Outlook 2010 in normal mode it stops working again.
Any ideas on what can resolve this issue?
