There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate, Outlook 2007, Error code 10.

Hello.  We have recently installed Exchange 2013. We purchased a signed certificate from GeoTrust, with a certificate name of webmail.dakotacarrier.com.  Externally, it works flawlessly.  However, on our internal Outlook 2007 clients, we're receiving repeated instances of the Proxy Server Certificate error, every time we start Outlook.  I believe this is because the external name of our Exchange 2013 server is webmail.dakotacarrier.com, but the internal name is DCN-FAR-EXCH.DCN.LOCAL.  In other words, the internal and external names are different, but I have to believe that that is not an uncommon occurrence.

Our internal Active Directory name is dcn.local, which clearly doesn't match the webmail name.  Even though I have imported the certificate, I still get the proxy error, along with a security alert that informs me of the name mismatch.

Is there a way to resolve this, or do I need to have my SSL certificate revised to somehow include both names ("dcn-far-exch.dcn.local" and "webmail.dakotacarrier.com").  I'm not even sure that is possible - does that mean I need to purchase a second certificate for the "dcn-far-exch.dcn.local" server name?

If anyone can give me some suggestions on how to resolve this, I'd be very grateful.  Mail is flowing normally, but the repeated proxy error messages are inconvenient at best.

Thanks in advance for any and all assistance with this.

Mitchell Schaff
