I'm using Outlook 2013 on Win 7 x64 using the Exchange email protocol (upgraded from exchange 2010), and Outlook does not return email search results for most of my searches, although I can find the emails myself by manually looking through my mail. I tried manually rebuilding the search index and that did not help, but I do get the following error in the system log which I think is related to the problem:
Search cannot complete the indexing of your Outlook data. Indexing cannot continue for F:\Outlook_Data\Microsoft Exchange.ost (error=0x8094085b). If this error continues, contact Microsoft Support
Using scanpst.exe to scan this file gives the message:
Only minor inconsistencies were found in this file. Repairing the file is optional. To repair it, click Repair.
I click repair, then manually rebuild the index again, but the search still returns no errors, and the above error in the system log persists. Can anyone tell me how to decipher this error code, or how to fix it?
