I have been over the Forum and the Search Engines and I need some help, I am new to exchange 2013 so please forgive my ignorance.
First my configuration.
I have two servers running in VM, Server 1 is my Domain Controller, it has Active Directory, DNS and DHCP running on it. The domain name is Domain.local and the email is sample.com
Server 2 is joined to the Domain.local Domain and it has Exchange 2013 loaded on it.
I am able to open OWA access internally and I can send emails out to internal and External Recipients,
I cannot receive emails to my new exchange as I still have my old SBS2003 with Exchange running on a different domain in the same network and it is live until I get the new server working within my Network.
The Problem.
While setting up Outlook you are asked for the Server Name and User Name.
For Server: I put in Server1.domain.local
For Name: I put in My Users Name and when click Check Name, the server changes from my domain controller Server1.domain.local to my Exchange Server Server2.domain.local and both My Server and User gets underlined. And when I try to open outlook I get an error
saying Outlook can't open my default e-mail folders. You must connect to Microsoft Exchange with the current profile before you can synchronize your folders with your Outlook data file (.ost). So I unchecked the Use Cached Exchange Mode and restarted
Outlook and got an error saying The Server is unavailable.
And if I go back to the email profile under Mail Setup and I click Properties on the new email account I created then clicked on Email Accounts I got an error box that said Connecting (Retry Work Offline Cancel) you can click Work Offline and recheck Use Cached Exchange Mode and relaunch Outlook but you will get the Folder error again.
Can someone please tell me how to resolve this issue?
