Exchange 2010 Certificate Issue

I have to Exchange 2010 2 MBX and 2 HUB/CAS. I hve also 2 Certificate one for External for third party and one Internal for internal users.

I used External Certificate with IIS service assign for OWA , ActiveSync and Outlookanywhere. And internal certificate with SMTP service assign for internal users. I notes now internal users getting certificate error when they open outlook and this error disapper when i assign IIS service to internal certificate but i cant keep IIS service with Internal certificate while i need it for External users. So wht is the solution and why SMTP service not working for internal users.

I tired many time to remove both certificate and import it again with same result.

Exchange 2013 with Outlook 2010 asking sometime for credentials

Hi Everyone,

I'm running Exchange Server 2013 on a Windows Server 2012.

Some of my user are sometime asked for credentials.

It happens both at outlook launch and when outlook is running.

And when we just cancel the credentials windows without password, outlook is connected to exchange again.

Everyone is running Office 2010 with SP1.

I have tried to put Outlook anywhere to NTLM and Negotiation authentication but it doesn't work either.

Any idea ?

Exchange 2013 "Server Error in '/owa' Application"

Hi,

I have Exchange 2013 installed on a server 2012 Standard OS.

My Clients can connect to the exchange via outlook, however they have issues setting the "out of office" option.  Upon further investigation I've discovered that the owa web site throws this error.

'.', hexadecimal value 0x00, is an invalid character. Line 1, position 1.

OWA Could not Connect to a directory server

I have an Exchange 2007 server in a child domain. When I log into OWA directly from the Exchange 2007 server and create a new message and click on TO: I get the following error. "Could not connect to a directory server. If the problem continues, contact technical support for your organization." I have a 2008 R2 DC that this server should is talking to and is listed in the error below. This is only a child domain in a much larger forest and I do not have access to the other Exchange servers/DC's

This is also part of the error.

I can ping the DC and vice versa. The Exchange 2007 servers are running Version 8.3 (Build 83.6). I would like to upgrade this particular Exchange server to the latest rollup but I do not know if I can do that if there are other Exchange servers with the older version.

Can Exchange 2007 connect to two different Client access servers at the same time? we are looking to migrate our access client server to a different loacation and would like to bring up a second parrelle to the current server. So question can we configure Exchange 2007 to support two client access servers?

Exchange OWA/Activesync conflicting with RD Gateway role

I've been bouncing my head over the following issue the last couple of days

I currently have the following set up:

I have a windows server 2012 with microsoft exchange 2013 CAS Role, RD Gateway, RD Web roles.

When I assign my domain certificate to the RD Gateway role it adds a new binding to the "Exchange Back End" website port *:443. This conflicts with the "Defauly Web Site" and stops the "Exchange Back End" website.

If I keep the 443 binding on the "Exchange Back End  website, OWA/Active sync dont work, but the RD Gateway is reachable externally.

When I remove the 443 binding from the "Exchange Back End" website, OWA/Active sync works again but the gateway isnt reachable externally.

Does anybody know a solution to this problem, so that both my Exchange servers is reachable and my RD Gateway functions properly?

Outlook for Mac 2011 14.3.2 person search incorrect

Person search requires middle name

When connected to my enterprise environment Exchange server, why do I have to know a person't middle name to search for them?

If I want to search for the user whose full name is "Bob Anders Johnson" without the knowledge of their middle name, on pretty much any other search system, you can type in: 

"Bob Johnson" and results will arise including the desired result.

"Bob" produces all Bob X X names. There's about a hundred... too many!

But if I type in "Bob Johnson" no results... as it's trying to match a middle name of Johnson. WTF?!?!

I guess if I'm crafty, I could search for the last name, but that's silly if there's a lot of Johnsons, as there would be no way to hone the search after typing in the last name...

I don't know Bob's middle name, why does Outlook & Exchange require me to?

New domain on an existing exchange server

Hi I tried creating a new accepted domain in the exchange sbs2013 server But it only works internaly I can not receive at all exterior email I might have forgotten to to a step . I added and modified all the dns info from godaddy web pointed the mx record to my server And created in the hub accepted domain my new domain ... Did I forget something else

I am getting below error everyday from Outlook 2010.  When I clicked on the URL link, it points me to the support site without giving me any resolution.  Any idea?

I need a command for powershell thats give me a list of mailboxes where i permission for have.
I work at a company with 300 users the problem is that one of the users forget the name of a mailbox he want to add.
So i need a command that ables to show me an list whit his mailboxes.

Missing the calendar events which is delegated to the people

Dear Everyone,

We have one user A which has been delegated the calendar permission (Editor) from user B (BOSS1) and check "Delegate receives copies of meeting-related messages sent to me". After that, user C has sent of behalf of the user D(BOSS2) the meeting request to user B (BOSS1). However, only User A can receive this meeting request (the meeting in the User A calendar but there have no events in user B (BOSS1)), user B (BOSS1) didn't receive any related meeting request emails. After checking in the exchange tracking logs, there have no User B email address in the related transport records but the actual emails has the user B email address. Do anyone has idea about it?

Our environment:

Exchange 2010 SP1 RU5

Outlook 2010 SP1

Problems sending attachment to French email address

We have an issue sending mail to a French email address.
If we attach any kind of attachment, it somtimes gets lost

This problem exists on a Server 2008 R2 Terminal Server, using Outlook 2010.
There is only one user who is experiencing these kind of problems.

The mails are always beeing send with someone in the CC field.
The person in the CC field is also an external user. This users always receive the attachment, regardless the type.

We checked the 'type' of email address (mailto or smtp) and we made sure to use smtp.

The mailserver of the customer is a Server 2008 R2 machine, running MS Exchange 2010, Roll-up 8.
Using Windows Update, the only update available for Exhange is KB925474, which is released on 03-18-2013.

Office Web Apps Server URL Issue

Hello,

I worked arount these issues.

1. WAC services worked fine with Lync 2013 (Powerpoint..)
2. I followed instruction for Exchange 2013 Organization configuration, OWA virtual folders, etc.
If I open my Office Document, I can see a new window in OWA, which try to open my document. When I'm looking for the URL, it's the external FQDN.

Conclusion, when I try internal OWA, the external FQDN of my WAC server is used.

Is it really possible to use internal AND external address for OWA and WAC?

Any Idea?

Outlook 2013 not showing all messages that are on the server

After upgrading from Outlook 2007 to 2013, my mail folders do not show all messages. Instead, I have to click a link that states "click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange" to see older messages that are in these folders. How can I disable this? We are not using Exchange 2013. I believe it is Exchange 2010.

Popping EMails from Two Computers

I have two computers - a desktop (Windows 7 32bit, Office 2013) and tablet (Windows 8 64bit, Office 2013).  They both are running an Exchange account, and the PC pops some email accounts.  I do this so I can have people (websites) send to a specific email address and then I can change the reply-to email address when I send it out.

I know that if I add those pop accounts to my tablet, they will download on my tablet and update the Exchange account.  And I can also send email out via those accounts, changing the reply-to if needed.  These are necessary for my rules / folders. 

Now if my tablet downloads these emails (and they stay on the server for a few days), would my PC recognize that an Outlook program has downloaded them or would the desktop download them?

I mean, when I sign into webmail and read an unread email (before Outlook downloads it), Outlook still will download that email.  I did not know if Outlook sent something to the POP server annotating it has been downloaded or if that specific Outlook did that?  I know in that past there had been issues with Outlook re-downloading the same emails on a POP account every so often.

OWA won't connect to 2010 accounts from 2013

I have exchange 2013 and 2010 installed and I'm in co-existence mode. Everything is working correctly except OWA. When I login with an account that has been moved to 2013 it works perfect but when I try to login with an account that is still on the 2010 server I get the ":( Sorry, something went wrong" message.

Outlook Anywhere and ActiveSync also works fine to access mailboxes on either server.

Any ideas on what I might be doing wrong?

Cannot open Microsoft Office Documents in IE9 or IE10

I cannot open any MS Office attachments in OWA on IE9 or IE10. I can open them in firefox, chrome, IE8 or earlier. I can save them just fine and open them later, but I cannot open by selecting open. After selecting open it just opens a blank IE tab

I made sure the file association on my computer is set to MS Word (docx file)

Added the OWA website as a trusted site. Temporarily set all the permissions to low

Under Advanced > security > I unchecked "Do not save encrypted pages to disk"

Popup blocker is disabled

I reset all my IE settings and cleared out temp files, history etc.

Rebooted after setting changes in IE.

Team Calendar Outlook 2010 Exchange Server 2007

I have a Manager that her new employee calendar is not showing in the Team Calendar, in Exchange the employee has the Manager checked and her name is listed in the find field box, the Manager in Exchange has the employee listed in the Direct Reports box - Im I missing somrething?
