Have anyone faced this issue.. outlook for mac 2011.. exchange server 2007 sp3 UR 5.... scenario

1.  site A  internet facing CAS... CAS proxy enabled for Site B.. mails with attachment can be send to mailboxes residing on site A mailbox Server.

2. Site B  ... when mail sent with Site A CAS (cas to cas proxy) to site B mailbox .. the http error: http request cannot be fulfilled error -18500

have tried all the settings that needs to be done on ews.config file but still the CASto CAS proxy the mails larger than 1 mb gives error.

tried to send directly mail using site B cas and mails get delivered  site B mailbox user. Seems there is some issue while proxying ews request from site A to site B.

Exchange 2007 - Setup POP3 access

We are currently running Exchange 2007 server. Users request for access via Outlook from home computers. Can someone point me in the direction to accomplish this? I've enabled POP and IMAP on the server, but not sure where to setup Incoming and Outgoing mail server settings.

User unable to send from additional Mailbox.

Hello all,

Here is the scenario that I am working with:

I have two users: Lucy and Jane. Lucy is Jane's boss, and has given Jane access to her mailbox to send/receive emails while Lucy is busy.

Jane is able to send email on behalf of Lucy as long as she stays logged in to her own account.

However, When logged into Lucy's account (as it was added as an additional profile to Outlook) Jane is unable to send any emails; they all get stuck in the outbox.

Both these users are O365 users, and we have verified that send/receive works in the OWA for both Lucy and Jane.

Jane is using the Outlook 2010 client on a Windows 7 machine.

Any information you could come up with would be of great assistance!

OWA cached contacts in New email

we have had some contacts in our internal directory which have been removed. however when composing new emails in outlook, i can still see them as suggestions, which is okay since they are cached.

however, when i am in owa, i can still see them. when i start to type the name of the person i can see their "contacts" email address come up, which have been deleted previously. once i click on search contacts and directory, i see the correct email address come up.

question is where are the contacts cached in owa? and how can i get rid of them? if they are on the server, maybe i can remove them for all users, which i doubt would be the case.

using exchange 2013
offline mode in owa is disabled.

Outlook Connections to New Exchange 2010 server using old 2007 SCP

$

I built a new Exchange 2010 HTCAS server and a matching 2010 Mailbox server.  I then created a new mailbox on that new 2010 mailbox server.

The problem is that when I try to connect to that new mailbox server I get an "untrusted cert" prompt in Outlook complaining that the cert is untrusted.  When I go to view the cert, its the cert from the old 2007 CAS server.

I troubleshooted to find out where it was getting this from, and it appears to be because the first thing Outlook tries is the old Exchange 2007 SCP (the name of the old 2007 CAS server is shown in the image below)

So I've been reading online that the solution is to delete that old SCP, but I cannot do that.  The reason is because the Exchange 2007 CAS server is being used by all the users still.  There will be a gradual migration process during which some users will be on Exchange 2007 and some on Exchange 2010, so I can't break SCP for 2007 users.

I also read that I could delete all SCPs and just manually config all Outlooks to use the CAS server of my choosing... but I cannot resort to manual configuration of Outlook for clients.  There are way too many of them.

Is there something else I can do to fix this?  Thanks!

SSL Offloading and Certificate Errors

$

I am attempting to offload SSL on an F5 load balancer.  I made the certificate request from the load balancer, procured the certificate from Entrust, and installed on the load balancer.  I then followed SSL Offloading TechNet instructions here:http://technet.microsoft.com/en-us/library/dn635115(v=exchg.150).aspx.  My two CAS servers still have the self-signed certificates bound in IIS.  I am getting certificate errors when making RPC over HTTPs connections in Outlook and the self-signed certificate is popping up.

My question is what do I do with the certificates on my 2 CAS servers?  Do I leave the self-signed certificates on there and export the Entrust certificate from my F5 and then import it to my CAS servers and change the bindings in IIS?

Or do I have to make the CSR from a CAS server, issue a new Entrust certificate from that, import to both CAS servers, then import to the F5 and make sure all bindings are correct in IIS?

Or am I completely misunderstanding how this works and need to do something different entirely?

Thanks in advance for any guidance.

Distribution group editing

I created three distribution groups for my client.

Only the first one I created appears in Outlook?

How can a user add more members to the distribution group? Can this be done from Outlook or OWA? I have not found a way.

Thanks!

Exchange Online Archiving

We are testing Exchange Online Archiving (EOA) with our stand alone Exchange 2013 server.  I noticed that the OWA desktop interface shows the online archiving box fine as well as the Outlook 2013 client (although the password promoting box when starting outlook is annoying).   From what I know, this is by design.  Anyway, while playing around the OWA web mobile interface, I noticed I can see other mailboxes but not my EOA mailbox.  Is this by design or a bug?

Thanks.

POP works via localhost but not from other networked machines

Hello All

I have three servers in an Exchange 2013 DAG.  Lets call them EX2013-MB1, MB2 and MB3.

I have configured POP Across the board.  All of a sudden the other day POP stopped working on MB1.  After some troubleshooting, if I launch a telnet session to port 110 from MB1, it connects and works fine.  Any other machine, nothing, connection immediately drops.

I have the firewall disabled, so it's not the firewall blocking the connection by any means.

Any ideas?  Below are my Get-PopSettings, and Test-PopConnectivity

Shared Outlook Calendar - help!

$

Hi.

I have a shared outlook calendar in outlook 2010.  I'd like to allow a small group of people read/write access, then a larger group to have read only access, and couldn't figure out how to set that up.  I was able to grant the read/write access to the smaller group, but then the larger group couldn't see the details of the meetings ect.

Is there a way to do this?

Thank you.

Body of the email contains question (??) marks

Hi

Our organization acquired  one APAC region company. So they modified email routing. They are using Google Mail and they are accessing through Web browser and some of them using Outlook also. So whenever they send any email then recipients are getting the email with question marks (??) in between in each line. We are not sure whether is it UTF-8 encoding or not. we followed below link but still issue persists.

http://wmpoweruser.com/still-using-gmail-you-might-want-to-check-your-encoding-settings/

We dont know what to do further to solve the issue. If you give some solution will be really great.

The sample emails below:
I just did a test to 2 colleagues
· If I send to domain email then no ??
· If I send to their domain  email the ??s are through the email

OWA cannot modify all-day events

Hi,

We recently migrated successfully from Exchange 2010 to 2013.

Unfortunately now none of our employees is able to modify  all-day events in outlook web app when using Chrome (35.0.19.16.153) in Windows or Chromium (34.0.1847.116) in Linux. Also not possible in Firefox 30 in Linux.

When right-clicking an all-day event, there is just the setting "new" available.

Open an email created with an oft

Ok so I'm not sure if this is a custom job or what, but there's an oft file located in 2010 public folders. We're doing the right thing and getting rid of public folders but this OFT is our last major hurdle.

SOMEHOW... emails are sent to this oft... or this oft is sent to the email.. hell I dont know... but the two combine to form a new user request form from HR... or maybe voltron.

Ive got one of the emails, and I've got the oft sitting on my desktop and I'm trying to figure out how to open one with the other.

I apologize for this on a friday, but EX2010 is supposed to be decommissioned this weekend. I'll owe the lucky winner a beer.

I'm trying to install my usual third party SSL certificate into my Exchange 2013 environment (CAS/HUB Server and 2 node Clustered MBX servers). The Certificate installs fine into a similar 2010 setup and I can assign the appropriate services but in 2013, the certificate is imported into the Certificate folder on the CAS/HUB server but it doesn't appear in the EMC and even I try the command line method (

Enable-ExchangeCertificate -Thumbprint 7740451F74C4B75CB3ABEC55034E8598A9E265F4 -Services POP,IMAP,SMTP,IIS), the certificate still does NOT appear ?

Outlook 2013 not syncing all folders via IMAP from exchange server

Hello,

At office we are using Exchange mail server. I created there some folders. At home I'm connecting via IMAP to my mail account. It syncs inbox, sent and deleted items folders and doesn't show other created folders. I tried to connect to my inbox using other e-mail client (eM client, Thunderbird) and they show all folders of my account.

How can I set up Outlook 2013 so it could show all folders of my mail account?

Outlook 2013 Deliver Messages to primary inbox

Hello,

I recently upgraded my customers server from SBS 2003 with Exchange 2003 to Server 2012 Standard with Exchange 2013. The office manager has full access to one of the users mailboxes and has in the past had added the mailbox and the changed where the mail was delivered. (ie. to her inbox). This way she didnt have to look in 2 different places. Well in Outlook 2013 there is no way to change where the mail is delivered to? This is a huge inconvenience to the office manager as she has missed several emails now because she has to look in 2 different places. Is there a way to fix this?

Thanks,

John

Hi all,

From time to time (at least once a day), the following message pops up on the user's screen:

"There is a problem with the proxy server's security certificate. Outlook is unable to connect to the proxy server . Error Code 80000000)."

If we click "OK" it goes away and everything continues to work although sometimes Outlook disconnects. It is quite annoying...

Any ideas?

Thank you in advance
