Dear All,

I've Outlook 2010 on my machine and i noticed that some of sent emails, sent with strange characters and the original characters wrote on Arabic. And when i came back to check my old emails on sent items i noticed that some of them converted to strange characters also. Knowing that they were correct on the past. I searched on internet and i didn't find the solution. Please help me because those emails are very important and i don't want to lose them.

Thanks in advance.

Owa password reset links

Hey guys,

So I've been trying to check if there are any password reset links that and end user with a Owa based mailbox account can reset his password ( and this is the Sci-fi part ) only with his username.

I've been hearing some rumors about this from other teams and high-up teams in my company that some users can use this specified link code and just be implementing their usernames. The server is a 2010 version.

And to top it off the this is a public logon, they can do this from home if needed.

It started from an e-mail going around with the link below then someone somehow found another way I guess.

https://webmaildomain.com/ecp/PersonalSettings/Password.aspx or similar ones ( older versions for the 2003 package based server ).

Can such a link exist?

Forwarding Emails from a Shared Mailbox to my Inbox using rules is not working automatically (works when I "run all rules")

Hi Everyone and Microsoft Support,

After adding a shared mailbox into my MS Outlook client, I am unable to forward anyone of the messages sitting on my shared mailbox to my email address using the rules I've applied. When I "run all rules," the process works seamlessly, however when I send a test email to my shared inbox, the message still sits in the shared inbox and I don't receive the redirected or forwarded message in to my personal email address.

This is a frustrating moment because I have 7-8 shared mailboxes and I can't keep opening those up in my Outlook to see if any emails have come in.
The rule is the following:
Apply this rule after the message arrives
sent to XXXX
move it to the Inbox
 and stop processing more rules

--

I even tried moving the message to my deleted items and a custom folder. Nothing seems to work.

Last (potentially) important note: We recently moved to Office 365 from a pop account to MS Exchange. Note that even though I'm an administrator, I do NOT want to set these rules in MS Exchange. I'd like to have more user flexibility.

Let me know if you have any questions.

Thanks.

Email format changes from HTML to Plain Text when moving item to a Public Folder

We are using Outlook 2013 with Office 365 and have come across an issue with emails that are received into the Inbox in HTML format are then being changed to Plain Text format when the items are moved to a Public Folder. If the item is moved back to the Inbox it also remains in Plain Text format.

We do not have "Use Cached Exchange Mode" switched on and cannot switch it on as we use terminal / Citrix servers.

Can you advise please as to what we can do to ensure that emails received in HTML format remain in that format even when they are moved to a Public Folder?

After Migrating To Exchange 2013 All Outlook 2010 Users Constantly Prompted For Password (BUT OUTLOOK WORKS).

I have two servers.  One is Exchange 2010 and the other is Exchange 2013.

Three of our users had mailboxes on Exchange 2013 for the last few weeks with no problems.  They used Outlook 2013 and Outlook 2010.  After moving the rest of our ~25 users to Exchange 2013 the users with Outlook 2010 began to be prompted for their password constantly.

They try entering it and it immediately reappears.

The odd thing is it shows connected and they are able to send and receive emails correctly.

I've tested our exchange connectivity using www.testexchangeconnectivity.com and all is well there.

I'm not really sure what's going on.

Any help is appreciated.

Luke

Outlook 2013 cached mode - wrong dutch translation

In Outlook 2013 ProPlus with cached mode enabled, only a subset of the Exchange mailbox items are synchronized. At the bottom of the list of items, you see the following message: here are more items in this folder on the server and a hyperlink below:
"Click here to view more on Microsoft Exchange"

In the Dutch version of Office365 ProPlus the hyperlink is called:
"Klik hier voor meer informatie over Microsoft Exchange" which says, Click here to view more information about Microsoft Exchange. Not, Click here to view more items on Microsoft Exchange. So this translation is not correct in our opinion and it leads to confusion for our users.

When attempting to reply to or forward email, or to compose a new message in Outlook OWA I receive the following error message: "The window couldn’t be opened because your computer is low on memory.  Please close some windows and try again."  This occurs even if the web application is the only window open.

My operating system is Windows 7.

OWA, EWS, ActiveSync Web.Config files missing from Client Access Servers

Greetings!

I have a brand new (but currently in production) Exchange 2013 infrastructure comprising of 2 CAS machines, and 2 backend Mail servers. We currently have an NLB setup that points clients to the Client Access Servers, then all processing is handled by the backend machines.

All internal and external access has been running fine, including on mobile devices. The AutoDiscovery function has been working fine, and mail is flowing as it should be. On it's face, the traffic seems to be load balanced, then hitting our Client Access servers, then mail is processed on the backend.

The issue I'm referencing is when attempting to change attachment size limits for EWS users (Outlook for Mac). I have been using the article "Configure Client-Specific Message Size Limits on Client Access Servers" (Sorry, can't link until account is verified) - and noticed that the web.config files are not present on either of my Client Access Servers. This is true for all three of the file locations that are mentioned in the article.

So my question is, why would our infrastructure appear to be working fine through the Client Access servers if vital config files are missing? I'm stumped.

Any advice will help!

Thanks!

OWA 2013 and Outlook for Mac Attachment Size Restrictions

Greetings!

When attempting to attach a file in Outlook for Mac 2011, I am receiving the following error:

"HTTP Error. The resource is not available"

When using OWA 2013 (this is an Exchange 2013 setup), I receive an error stating that an attachment can't be attached, and to try again later.

I have set Maximum size limits to 100MB in all send connector, receive connectors, and the web.config files. I even allowed the 33% buffer in the web.config files.

In Outlook 2013 on my windows machine, I can send attachments AND messages up to 100MB just fine. This issue occurs with the Mac users and OWA for all mailboxes.

Any help is appreciated.

Thanks!

After finding users cannot set  AutoReplies ie. out of the Office from Outlook error suggested Exchange Server is not online (but users can send receive emails and can set AutoReplies from OWA)

I decided to run Microsoft Connectivity analyzer - I get the following error

Help with shared mailbox

Hello,

I am using Outlook 2013 while at work and am having an issue with search. I have a shared mailbox which contains multiple folders, and I want to be able to search my current mailbox in order to search all of the folders within.

For whatever reason, though, which inside my shared mailbox, I don't have the "Current Mailbox" option.

Does anyone know how I can get it back? It seems to be replacing "Current Mailbox" with "All Mailboxes" It's strange, because it works as expected on my colleague's machine. I even tried installing it on another machine myself and worked. I tried re-installing office, deleting and recreating my profile, etc., all to no avail.

Edit: I was able to post images but now the forum isn't letting me. I can't even link to my original thread on this site - makes no sense.

Outlook OOF & https://remote.mydomain.co.uk/EWS/Exchange.asmx

Done a Outlook AutoDiscover test (by holding down CTRL Key & right-clicking Outlook icon in the system tray)

What should I get I navigate to "https://remote.mydomain.co.uk/EWS/Exchange.asmx"

I get a login, type in my username & password then a page

To test this service, you will need to create a client and use it to call the service. You can do this using the svcutil.exe tool from the command line with the following syntax:

svcutil.exe https://vexch.ad.mydomain.co.uk:444/EWS/Services.wsdl

and some C# & VB code ... I'm a bit lost now!

vexch is the host name and ad.mydomain.co.uk is the windows domain name

NB: port 444 is not open on the router and vexch.ad.mydomain.co.uk si NOT named on the SSL cert

I'm helping a user who is using Outlook 2013 connecting to an Exchange 2010 server.  Every time she opens a reoccurring appointment or expands the time and stretches Outlook crashes and restarts.  I'm just wondering if anyone else is running into this issue?

I just uninstalled Office 2013 & deleted the HKEY_LocalMachine\Software\Microsoft\Office key & deleted the c:\Program Files (x86)\Microsoft Office\ directory and reinstalled and Outlook still crashes on her computer on the reoccurring appointments.

Here's the application crash entry from the Event Viewer.

Trouble Exchange 2013 through IIS ARR

$

Hello,

I've set up an exchange server 2013 on server 2012 which worked perfectly fine at first.
Now i'm trying to route https traffic through IIS ARR so that i can deploy office web apps etc on a single IP adress.

I have set everything up according to;
http://blogs.technet.com/b/exchange/archive/2013/07/19/reverse-proxy-for-exchange-server-2013-using-iis-arr-part-1.aspx

I got everything working, except for RPC Over HTTP.
The error message i am getting when testing through testconnectivity.microsoft.com is;

Attempting to ping RPC endpoint 6001 (Exchange Information Store) on server 29d3428c-230d-4402-9959-c528c40bf324@mydomain.com.
The attempt to ping the endpoint failed.
	Additional Details
An RPC error was thrown by the RPC Runtime process. Error 1818 CallCancelled
Elapsed Time: 31021 ms.

After this i thought i might have to install the feature RPC over HTTP Proxy on my ISS ARR server, but that gave me authentication errors.

Everything used to work fine before setting up the IIS ARR for a reverse proxy server.
Now everything works except RPC over HTTP for Outlook Anywhere.

Any further help on this would be greatly appreciated.

Access shared mailbox from mobile devices via POP3 with linked mailbox credentials in Exchange 2013

$

Hello all,

In short - I want linked mailbox users to be able to read a shared mailbox e-mails on mobile phones. OWA is not a good enough idea, since very few of the client users find it usable on small screens. I was expecting them to be able to connect to shared mailboxes via POP3, but I have missed something or it is simply not possible for some reason.

I have an Exchange 2013 CU2 deployment with users as linked mailboxes, and shared mailbox in local Exchange domain.
* User accounts are in user account domain "usersdomain.com"
* Exchange 2013 CU2 is installed in domain "exchangedomain.com"
* There is a working trust between these two domains
* UserA from "usersdomain.com" have linked mailbox in Exchange on domain "exchangedomain.com", POP3 enabled, everything works very well.
* There is a Shared Mailbox "SharedMailbox1@exchangedomain.com", and both, UserA@usersdomain.com and UserA@exchangedomain.com (disabled account for linked mailbox) has Full Access and Send as permissions to this shared mailbox. Everything works very well via Outlook (MAPI) or OWA.
* There is also UserB@exchangedomain.com, who has Full Access and Send as permissions to this shared mailbox "SharedMailbox1@exchangedomain.com" and POP3 enabled. Everything works here too.
* "SharedMailbox1@exchangedomain.com" has POP3, and all other protocols enabled.

In the setup above I can successfully retrieve e-mails from shared mailbox using Outlook with POP3 login name UserB@exchangedomain.com\SharedMailbox1@exchangedomain.com, but when I use UserA@usersdomain.com\SharedMailbox1@exchangedomain.com I get "bad username or password".
I can open SharedMailbox1 via UserA@usersdomain.com OWA site, and I can get UserA@usersdomain.com e-mails via POP3.

Now, what I want to do, is for the user UserA@usersdomain.com to connect and use SharedMailbox1@exchangedomain.com via POP3 on mobile device. IMAP is a second choice, or any other means to read the emails from the shared mailbox on mobile devices, with this users credentials and without duplicating any e-mail via some rules, and without using OWA  .. Is this possible?

Any suggestions?

Sincerely,
Vince
