exchange2013, wildcard, outlookanywhere, tmg

Hi crew.

EXCHANGE 2013 (all roles, no DAG, no edge server); published thru TMG (basic auth, LDAP set for authentication)

Outlook anywhere on exchange has internal address: exchange-fqdn.domain.local
Outlook anywhere on exchange has external addres: mail.domain.com

If we change internal addres to be the same as external, then outlook clients are unable to connect externally.
They get a pop up for credentials window but authentication is not accepting right credentials.

Why can't we have the same address for internal/external outlook anywhere while published thru TMG?

question 2:
We wanted to implement wildcard address but it does not work in our scenario while we need to stay with internal outlook anywhere address (domain.local) and our cert is *.domain.com.

Please advise.

With best regards
