Hello,
One of our customers is migrating AD and Exchange 2007 to another forest. Some user and computer accounts have already been migrated but nothing has changed at the Exchange level. Users open their Outlook using sourcedomain\useraccount and their password, and this works for everyone.
Now some users do not have permission to send email, although they are perfectly capable of opening Outlook and connecting to Exchange. The same user account on another PC gives exactly the same problem.
We have double checked permissions and AD user settings but cannot find what's wrong with these users. >80% of users do not have any problem.
If in the profile settings we enable the option "Always prompt for logon credentials", the user is indeed prompted, can enter again sourcedomain\username and his password, and everything works like it should. The user can send email. Activating the option "Remember my credentials" in that window does not work, probably because of the other option.
Any idea what could cause this?
