Outlook 2013 Exchange 2013 issue with two computers

Hello all,

I have this really annoying issue that I cannot seem to pinpoint the cause/reason for it.  We manage a single Exchange server with around 300 user mailboxes.  This is affecting only one user.  Here is the scenario:

User has a desktop computer with Windows 7 Professional and Outlook 2010. User has also a laptop with Windows 10 and Outlook 2013. If Outlook on the desktop is open the laptop cannot connect to the Exchange server (0x8004011D present in Outlook when performing an Update Folder).  As soon as the desktop closes Outlook, BAM! Outlook 2013 on the laptop works without issue.

Steps taken so far:

  • Re-create mail profiles on both the desktop and laptop which also re-created OST files
  • Fully patch Office and Windows on the laptop
  • Tried using office 2010 on the laptop prior to Windows 10 upgrade and Office 2013 upgrade - same deal.
  • Disabled all interfaces except for WLAN adapter
  • Opened Outlook with the /rpcdiag flag to view connections which show it trying but immediately terminating it (like a blink of an eye kind of thing) until of course the desktop client is closed and then it makes and keeps the connections

I am open to any and all troubleshooting you all can provide.  Thanks!
