Autodiscover fails internally in Hybrid environment

Hi,

We have a hybrid setup with Exchange 2010, Exchange 2016 and Office 365.

We work with Outlook 2016.

The problem is with users that have been migrated to the cloud and with internal Outlook clients.

Externally, autodiscover works fine. On the testconnectivity webpage from Microsoft, there are also no issues reported.

However, internal clients cannot connect. When I use "Test E-mail Autoconfiguration" I am prompted for the password but the result in the end is still "Autoconfiguration was unable to determine your settings!"

I am unable to see the last (probably most crucial) error because Microsoft has decided that the "Test E-mail Autoconfig" screen can not be resized! Thank you Microsoft!

As far as I could see, Outlook 2016 does not have an easy to find Autodiscover log file (like the olkdisc.log file in 2010).

In any case I have posted here what I can see:

Can someone help out? Many thanks!

PS: When creating a local XML redirect to https://autodiscover-s.outlook.com/autodiscover/autodiscover.xml it does seem to work (even though it takes quite a while with some time-outs visible in the autodiscover log).
