I have been running Outlook for Mac 2011 for 18 months. it has been working fine syncing with Exchange Server. Very recently it stopped syncing and will now only download 512 emails in both the inbox and sent items, will not update as new emails arrive,
won't sync contacts, calender, notes or tasks.
The only way to update the latest emails is to clear the cache but it still only downloads 512 emails. Clearing the cache on contacts or calender does nothing.
I have re-installed Office three times, created new identities but without any solution. I have even tested the situation on another Apple laptop with Outlook but the same results occur.
Apple say it is not an operating system issue, Microsoft want the usual money before they look into it and my IT company, who don't support Apple but have looked into can't seem to find an answer. Having tested the situation on another Apple laptop, my suspicion
this is an exchange server issue, although I have tried another email address on my company's exchange server with the same results.
I have updated to the latest version of Outlook (14.3.2)
The Exchange Server 2010 is Windows 2008 R2, Edition Data Center, Windows SP1
By the way, I also sync my iPhone with the same exchange server and this works fine.
Can anybody shed some light on this.
