Hello all,
I posted over at anwsers.microsoft.com and I was told I should post here instead.
just a couple days ago I started receiving an error message in outlook (2010) whenever i tried to create a calendar event or "reply all" but i was still able to send and receive email. here's what it said: "The action cannot be completed.
the connection to Microsoft Exchange is Unavailable. outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
As I read online to find a solution the the problem i saw where someone suggested I recreate my profile. I did that, but now i cannot use outlook at all. when attempting to check the username for the account i get the same error. "The action cannot be
completed. the connection to Microsoft Exchange is Unavailable. outlook must be online or connected to complete this action."
I'm using outlook 2010 and connecting to exchange 2007. my computer is not on the domain with the change server and i connect via proxy with is configured in the Mail settings in the control panel.
since first posting at answers I've read several articles on the issue but have been unable to resolve the issue.
I used this tool: https://www.testexchangeconnectivity.com and the outlook test returned successful.
I also attempted a regedit according to this article: http://support.microsoft.com/kb/913843/en-us?wa=wsignin1.0
however, this key: HKEY_CURRENT_USER\Software\Microsoft\Office\14.0\Outlook\RPC
does not exist for me.
this may be an excess of information but I've gotten extremely frustrated with this and Microsoft techsupport and would really like an applicable answer! :-/
Let me know if you need more information to troubleshoot the issue.
