Hi Im facing issues with exchange 2007 outlook anywhere.
details.
we had 2007 exchange with sp3 (CU10) server and we recently installed exchange 2013 SP1 and planned for co-existence.
workout.
1.we have created dns name as legacy.xxxx.com as 2007 and mail.xxxx.com as 2013 exchange server and mapped autodiscover record to new cas 2013 server.
2.we have set below url in exchange 2007
Legacy Names:
Configure following Legacy host names for the below services in exchange 2007
OwaVirtualDirectory– Create https://ExternalLegacyHostName/owa
WebServicesVirtualDirectory– Create https://ExternalLegacyHostName/EWS/Exchange.asmx
UMVirtualDirectory– Create https://ExternalLegacyHostName/UnifiedMessaging/Service.asmx
OABVirtualDirectory– Create https://ExternalLegacyHostName/OAB
ActiveSyncVirtualDirectory– Create https://InternalLegacyHostName/Microsoft-Server-ActiveSyn
3.and 2013 server has default configuration and have added as per microsoft recommendation
changed all url as mail.xxxxx.com
Problem.
1)2013 and 2007 owa redirection and active sync is working fine without any issues.
2)2013 outlook is working internally and externally both.
3)exchange 2007 outlook client is working internally and externally is not get connected (but if we made outlook proxy setting as legacy.xxx.com is working outside but automatically it will change due to auto discover settings).
we have tried all authentication settings .
exchange 2007 :- RPC external url is mail.xxx.com and ntlm authentication and iss authentication is basic and ntlm.
2013 exchange :- RPC external url is mail.xxx.com and ntlm authentication and iss authentication is basic and ntlm.
But still outlook is not getting connected from outside , i have opened a case to microsoft but they saying exchange 2007 installed 2003 virtual platform not able to provide support.
Please any one suggest me how to resolve this issue.
Regards, Velu M
