Room booking issues with Outlook 2010 on Exchange 2010-no "room" is already booked for specified time pop-up

When we were using Exchange 2007, a user who attempted to double book a room was greeted with a pop-up stating "'RoomX' is already booked for the specified time. You must use another time or find another resource."

We are now using Exchange 2010 SP2 Rollup5 and no longer receive this pop-up. We now receive an email rejection from the Room saying that the meeting was declined. However, invitees still receive the invites.

We would like to re-enable to pop-up behavior. Is this an Outlook setting or an Exchange Setting. I have tried several fixes:

1. Add Registry entry for EnableDirectBooking for Outlook 2010 as referenced here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/982774

2. Attempt Direct Booking as referenced here - http://support.microsoft.com/kb/291616

3. Tried both AutoAccept and AutoUpdate for AutomatedProcessing parameter on Exchange 2010.

Is there an actual fix for this?
