Encrypted connection to a MS Exchange mail server not available
I have 3 exchange server email accounts with same hosting service - iiNet - 2 on one domain and 1 on a separate domain. All were working fine until 48 hours ago when the account on the separate domain failed to connect with server. After waiting for 24 hours no resolution so I deleted the account including the associated data files and tried to add. When trying to auto configure the account I get the message
"An encrypted connection to your server is not available. Click Next to attempt using an unencrypted connection."
Click Next did not work. Tried to manually set up but failed each time.
Then decided to un-install Outlook and reinstall. The 2 "good accounts on the same domain" of the 3 accounts reinstalled - no problem. The problem account with different domain - same error.
iiNet Hosting Exchange support tried to help for over an hour but they were able to add the problem account to their Outlook. they were also successfully able to ping. I have been able to add the account to Outlook on my PC at work. The account remains accessible on Outlook Web Access.
Therefore the problem must be in the 2010 Outlook/Office software on my home PC.
I'm a lay person with some but limited IT understanding. Can anyone help please?
