Hello, all.
We're in the process of migrating from Exchange 2007 to Exchange 2013. Additionally, we are upgrading our client from Outlook 2007 to 2013. A few weeks ago, we upgraded/deployed Outlook 2013 while keeping our mailboxes on Exchange 2007. The client worked pretty well and haven't experienced any significant problems.
Earlier this week, we migrated our team's mailboxes from Exchange 2007 to 2013. One problem we've run into is AutoComplete and MailTips. The user inputs an address, the address populates/resolves successfully. As soon as he tabs out of the To field he gets the below MailTip. "Won't be able..." Even with the MailTip, the message sends successfully.
Using the "Empty AutoComplete list," this appears to have cleared up the MailTip issue. I understand emptying the AutoComplete list is the same thing deleting the .nk2 aka the nickname file.
Here's what we know:
The problem is not experienced with all addresses.
Problem occurred with multiple users that were migrated to 2013.
The problem does not occur in OWA. So, it appears to strictly be an Outlook-related problem.
Can someone please provide some insight on whether the problem is just a false-positive in MailTips and can be adjusted or is it the AutoComplete feature? Is the list possibly getting corrupted?
We'd prefer to not have to clear out the AutoComplete list for ~ 5,000 users.
