Below is GFI's description and response to my issue. Please advise on how I ought to proceed:
Email is making it to MailEssentials, we are flagging it and the action is set to deliver it to the Junk Email folder in Outlook.
We flag the email with an SCL value of 9 which when the email gets sent back to Exchange should be picked up on and as a result the email gets sent to the Junk email folder.
The problem seems to have been that even though we are flagging the email and passing it back to Exchange the email is not going to the Junk email folder and is instead going to the Inbox. After we reviewed the logs we found that our product is flagging the emails with the SCL value and passing them back to Exchange. We suggested using Exchange Message Tracking to see what happens to the email after it gets passed back to Exchange to determine where the issues are occurring as within our software we look to be functioning correctly.
