Private PC: MS Office 365, Home edition, incl. Word 2013 etc.
Company PC: MS Office 2010 Pro. Exchange functionality.
In Outlook Contact I have about 1400 Contacts which I use the Note section for customer database with up to 4 pages A4 text.
MS Outlook Contacts I succeed to Export from Company and import to Private PC. The Contacts are complete with all text included as well as Categories.
This Note text is in the Company PC edition is possible to format (bold, colour, underline etc),however when imported to Private PC it is not possible to format.
If I drop my Home edition subscription and instead buy MS Office 356 Small Business, according to MS support they can not confirm this will solve the issue.
Call to MS Home techical support Lars 25 Apr-14:
According to technicians delicate to get all functionality to function when export / import.
It may be the functionality of the Home edition, but most likely how the export is done.
Lars suggested I ask in MS Forums, so here I go:
1. How do I need to act to be able to format text in Notes under Contacts in MS Outlook 365 Home edition?
2. We have tried to export / import in different ways:
a) Via bcup pst file and USB stick as well as iCal format.
- Contacts and Notes complete but not possible to format
b) Via the import / export function
- Got error msg ”The service did not support this”.
c) We added Company MS Exchange account to Private PC, after that we copy from company Contacts folder to Private PC Contact folder and the format functionality did not follow.
- Is there any other way to import / export to keep the format functionality?
Best regards, Christer
